      not a bad unit to bad the capacity wasn't a little higher. It did overperform on its 1000 watts rating and to me, that's more important.

    Both AC and DC discharge tests seemed to be down on the claimed capacity. The Inverter for AC will reduce the available battery capacity, but one would think direct DC discharge would give you the real capacity, but that fell short too. Maybe they use higher internal battery voltage and so go through an buck inverter to supply the 12V, explain the lower capacity reported by the DC discharge?
    Regardless it performed really well with AC loads, AC charging and PV charging. I'd buy it if I had a need for this kind of thing.
    Thanks Brad, great and thorough review as always.

      Yup, all these pretty much use higher voltage internally. This one is 24vdc. Thanks Ben!

    I have the flash 1500 and the LCD doesn't say how many hours, also hard to read solar input and watts usage at the same time. Biggest gripe is when charging solar and it reaches 100 charge it will stop charging and as I'm using it throughout the day the percent drops and the solar never kicks back in to keep it toped off, I have to unplug the solar cable shut off the vtoman connect the solar cable and begins charging. I don't know if mine is just defective sometime it will blink as if it's charging solar but shows 0watts going in so I have to shut it off and back on and works as it should. Other than that works good, y wanted to get the eco flow but in my country it was double the price only this vtoman was priced as normally. Great video, didn't know the 1000 existed only the old model which I almost got but flash was better because the 400w solar input and 1500ac, the old model 200w solar and 200ac which way to slow. Great video great review

    Lucky I watched this!! I was getting ready to buy today and then watch the awful performance capacity tests and changed my mind, even at $450 with discount!!

      @BradCagle  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah It's common for power stations to have lower usable capacity because of the power conversion in the AC, and in the DC outputs. Some better than others. Thanks!

      @@BradCagle This is probably the worst I've heard of!! I'm using the E2000LFP Pecron now and just wanted this to supplement it, use Vtoman to run Livingroom side of house (laptop, tablets, fans and low power 32" TV)!! Changed my mind!!

    Can you charge the expandable battery with solar directly like you can with pecrons expandable batterys? I like that jump start feature. It's an awesome looking unit looks well made.

      I have not tried their external battery yet, but I don't think it can take solar directly. Thanks!

      If you had another VTOMAN Flashspeed, you can connect them together while charging each individually. I have two pairs of other brands manufactured by Carku and they can do it

    They can handle a good load, but they really can not be used as claimed as a UPS for anything. They time out in 30 minutes of no load over 10 watts so if you connect to a refrigerator or freezer, be prepared to start tossing hundreds in food to the trash when they turn off at 2 AM due to no draw detected between compressor cycles. Great for camp site, semi trucking, and random use. Want a real UPS capable, get another brand.

      @@BradCagle Their first generation models were OK but poor charging speed, the second gen was great charging but poor inverter stability. Lots of blinking on any lights we also had on it when any other load is added. Over all structural and cell quality is outstanding though. So I would say lifespan is likely very high, but usability is a pain sometimes.
