Cost of Gear Replacement and Masteries Reset after the first free reset can be costly and hinder the progression in terms of getting the best gear and masteries for each Champ. I'm still stuck in the first areas of Sintranos Cursed City on hard and normal. As a F2P, don't have enough 6* (level 60) Champions in every Faction or Affinity to take on the harder bosses in all areas of the game.
changing gear and masteries should be free.
and more space for champs, with all those different builds, you might need 3 copies of same champ, which means you needs at least double the amount of BUILT champs compared to pre-Sintranos time. (I'm on 2x F2P accts, for 3 yrs now)
10 mil silver to get enough vault space for the 500 champs you need to fit requirement. 200 mil to 16 the gear. 50k real money to buy shards.
I made up the figures but I probably grossly underestimated.

Sintranos hard is actually pretty hard. What their statement should have been is we need to make this hard for Whales.

There are definite bloopers in the enemy team design. Very familiar from DT hard already - and they've never fixed the most annoying floors. Every once in a while they just make a floor that's someone's idea of a practical joke.
Yep, i though double Mortu+Tormin are bad, but double Taras and Marishka are really next level.

as a fairly new player, its nice to see the top of the top struggling with stages, it'll be years before im even thinking of touching those stages and i think thats a really solid thing for the game to have, everyone should have something to strive for other than better rng

Nah. The way I see it, you have content for the next decade to climb. I'm a whale and almost quit due to lack of content... I was holding on until the Sintranos announcement. Now they got my attention for another year or so. Being f2p isn't really a bad thing.
@dividendapacolypse6060 exactly bro why do people complain so much. If the content is too easy like when people started the city. Then as it gets harder they are like they made it too hard.
Red Fox Games is like this too. They dropped a Xmas event literally only for spenders and their forums remind me of plariums community. People just complaining how it’s only for rich people LOL found that utterly hilarious. Two totally different games complaining about the same thing

Not only the gear change and masteries. One thing I'm also encountering is the the vault. Taking champs out of my reserves in order to gear them and such for just 1 cursed city battle is brutal for just finding room now.

This is insanity, me personally, I'll never have an account strong enough to get this far because I'm not a spender.. It's really amazing how out of touch these developers are. If even you are having issues then what about the average player? I'm level 82 with a fair amount of top tier legendaries thought my max power is like 60k and my best legendary is probably Ma' Shalled but what good will that do when I can use him in like 3 stages and that's it... Guess we can just go kick rocks and watch youtubers try to beat it if we can't.

They don't care if f2p players enjoy the game. F2p doesn't pay their bills. It's the spenders that pay their bills so that's who they cater to. Perfect example is awakenings. Whales will spend until they get the souls they want.
@@bryangirod9173 is that why they added free stuff like the daily login and even started giving players free OP champs like Ninja, Wukong, UDK, Artak? Is that why they're giving away another free champion in January?
@@SkullCrusher480 it doesn't cost them much for that. It's a loss leader. The longer they can keep someone playing the game, the more opportunity that player has to spend money. It's playing the odds.

I like cursed city, even though i can't even complete marketplace on Hard. I simply don't have the roster. I'm even getting stuck on Normal, again because I don't have the champs. But that is also what makes it interesting. More than the Doom Tower secret rooms, these restrictions make use of champs that you really don't use, like ever. So when summoning, champs you'd otherwise feed, maybe you take a second look at to see if they can help out in cintranos. But having said that, I do wish champ storage was more generous, and there was a friend system, like they have in Watcher of Realms, where you could "borrow" other people's champs to help you beat some of these stages, on normal at the very least.
Tim's my Clan leader and knows the game amazingly well. I love that guy, he's elevated me toward the end game from where I was.
What a joke of a comment. You mean he knows how to buy and sell accounts really well? His current account is Dynmirs old account which probably has over a million $$ spent on it before it was traded/bought whatever.

The rewards are really nice, but the 'gameplay' is very lacking. I feel the restrictions are more prohibitive than anything really, locking a lot of players out from even trying if they meet roadblocks early. A score based system, with multipliers for using the 'restricted' champs, would help alleviate this issue, so you can at least play the floors with what you have. It may be more interesting to see a score value on the leaderboard too, instead of just the turn count at the end.

Thanks for another great video Ash, and for all the content you've put out over the years. Even on normal and with probably a much better than average team this stage was no pushover. Best bet on hard is to just stun set stun set stun set and try to keep cc up imo. If you havnt seen it yet, 2nd wave is 2 Ba satha, 2 Krokmar, and sulfuryion. I imagine they are very, very tanky on hard.

The main problem is various mini bosses and if people do not have the heros they are blocked from going further.

The problems are the the DT bosses in general. They are restrictive in DT (Bommal, Dark Fae) and further limiting the champs you can use is just a shitty design.

Currently I can't beat any of the bosses, even on normal difficulty. I do like the idea of the game having an endgame that's difficult. There's a reason to keep collecting and leveling champions for a long time.
The problem for a lot of players is this: after 3 years of playing i have a good roster of champs (still missing meta champs like duches :( ). But i got champs that fit every role, i can do dt hard on every rotation (not every secret room, cant be arsed with the rare ones). Now with Sintranos you are forced to level much more champs you will just use there. And with the rotations you see the champs you need at the moment, level and gear them and they may be useless in the next rotation.

I could understand making a Nightmare difficulty that would reward primal shards or primal fragments as well as soulstones to appeal to the new mechanics of the game. But I think Hard mode is perfectly hard for what they were trying to achieve.

*Those who beat that stage, some 10 guys or so by now, Friday 29th, used multiple Stun sets, and Freeze sets on taunters, a combination of both.*
Also needed for the Champfort stage you showed prior. Regarding your vid last night, my problem isn't silver, but another thing you mentioned: A solid interface for those cases where we need to swap gear around, I could've beaten those stages, if it wasn't because I don't want to have health issues from the stress of having to write down or screenie every champ I'm taking something from, so I know who to return stuff once I'm done. LbnL, HH's optimiser has 1 team at least where you can see the setup for S19. Cheers, hope you read this.

I can't get through normal cursed city let alone hard mode. I just don't have the rosta for it and I'm not giving palarium my hard earned cash either. Love the game so I'll just do what I can when I can. Great video as always. Happy holidays ash
What they mean when they say Cursed City needs to be harder is that it’s currently being cleared at a lower price point than intended.
if they make it harder i refuse to play it any further.
Personally I think with all the new content we need to use champs in so many places now PLARIUM WE NEED MULTIPLE GEAR LOADOUTS PLEASE. My hydra build isn't the same for cb or for arena or dungeons that's my biggest complaint with the entire game

I really enjoy watching live arena (not so much playing since I don't have a huge roster to pull from), but I think the number one thing they could do that would catapult it up in popularity is having private duels you could challenge people to. Should always be on, no rewards and just for fun, and could challenge clan mates via the clan menu or friends/random people using a duel code or something. Could you imagine how fun that would be dueling viewers or other CCs for content? Streamers in particular I imaging would have entire duel nights. You could have a private tournament and implement your own personal rules via agreement like say no one uses polymorph in the duels. I think that would be huge for live arena and no reason not to if there's no rewards and just for fun. They already have the code framework and everything so it would be super easy to implement, just need to add in a duel button on the clan screen and the manual link code system.

I noticed on my level 53 account I ran to around 4 or 5 keys before hitting a wall. Realized I was in hard but only made it about the same in normal.
Considering I'm at entry level for Sintranos it's probably incredible progress, but only 5 built strong enough for 150 TP, maybe another 5 passable.
I'm planning a bank job so I can buy enough resources to gear and 6* al my 60's, and pump up the more recent leggos
Sintranos regular is hard for me I'm a newer player so I still can't do a lot of Doom Tower, Hydra is years away if I'm still playing, no one in my clan can do Hydra. The worst thing they did for Sintranos is the restrictions. I keep hearing raid creators say that we need to take champions out of the vault what they fail to realize is most of us don't have many champions to take out free-to-play anyway. And even if I did the cost to regear them would be another obstacle I have seen creators spend 5 million silver to regear one champion. I did like 4/5 of the beginner rooms and nothing since now I am waiting for the reset to see if the next rotation will allow me to do a couple more rooms. Currently, I have one team for everything I do in raid so having endless teams to meet the requirements of the many rooms is not achievable for me. Great videos I have learned a lot from watching your guides.
We have been trying to play some hydra but we don't really ever manage much in it

Great video as ever. I like the cursed city and felt it tests you to the limit. My issue is the cost of changing gear between champions. If Plarium develop content which requires so much changing of gear surely they should remove the cost of swapping gear. It will encourage people to play this content. Silver is currently the biggest resource constraint stopping me from playing. If I have got gear and paid silver to roll it up and glyph it then I should be able to use that on who I want for zero cost. That change alone would help so many players in my view

Or with gear removal thing have different gear builds with the same champion that you can switch between so you can have the same champion with different builds you can switch between.
You say everything is on the table for changes for Sintranos...
Plarium, remove gear removal costs from the entire game. It's engagement/discovery punishment, and that's bad design.
Ooof. Here's to hoping that in 2024 Plarium will come around and get their act together. This is unsustainable...

The only thing I can think of for the taras marischka stage is putting deflect equipment on your nukers to put the 2 turn stuns back on taras and put refresh accessories on your provoke champs. And most of all pray for rng XD. Of course getting good deflect equip is already hard enough.

NEED HELP! does anyone know if in 3v3 arena you lose gold bars when you lose defense battles?
4:15 I think the first big change they need to make is a 5 tier system for the area, bump normal to hard, and hard to brutal, the new normal has 0 restrictions, then you move over to nightmare and ultra nightmare for harder challenges if they are needed. possibly splitting sintranos over to be 2 different cities, one normal one 'illusionary' where you get told the requirements for each rotation so you can theory craft as a normal player and maybe prep or make it a near carbon copy of the current one where there are no restrictions at all, it doesn't need to reward as good or even on a per space basis, but it would be nice and essentially free extra content to do if you want.

3:34 plarium when you aee brutal as the difficulty, make the stage where you enter the rest of the upper region a double boss, specifically iron twin and sand devil. Make the restrictions to be only rares, and for them to be rank 3-5. This will be an incredible way to make the content fum 😃

I like the new content and would love to do more playing around with team but I still have the same problem I've had since day one in this game, it costs so much silver and it is not fun.
Star Wars has a mod roll out feature.. So you can setup a mod outfit and use it for whoever whenever.

best i can think of is to either bring a stun/freeze champ or if there are none, a champion in one of those sets, and just get lucky on the tarases (and marichka probably), then try to burst down the marichka

Well ain't that something. When I first started playing Cursed City I accidentally was playing it on hard mode and I was wondering why it was so difficult until I realized I wasn't playing it on easy lol. In terms of champion restriction I have find some other HP champions since the only good ones I have is Geomancer and Artak but I can't used them in certain areas.

Hey Ash is Gwynneth an option for stage 19? Her AOE a1 does not trigger counter attacks and her single target A3 ignores 10% defense for every buff on the target. Her in stun or provoke going fast and tanky,maybe?

Maybe try frost set for Rockbreaker and Gnarlhorn. If you get some lucky freezes on those 2 Taras, you can kill Marichka. Or maybe there is a n available champion that can lock the passives. I can`t think of other options at this stage.

I'm f2p for three years. I'm a gamer for 40. I enjoy your vids. Raid is just now pushing skill based content. This video is as much as I and most likely 1000s of players will ever see of this content. You joke, but Raid is a wallet based game--absolutely. Fifty dollars a week couldn't get people to this content uniformly if said player began when Raid dropped. That's more than $10k. Why have so many encouraged this type of game format?

I love the content Ash. But you are soooo right about the silver. I ran out of silver twice. It has been a grind to get silver back. Have you noticed they never have great pack offers for silver? Anyway, I also LOVE your idea of swapping. Would make things so much easier. Also, they really need a better silver farm other then spider or just cut the gearing costs to nothing.

Hey ash long time viewer here, love the videos keep it up! Hoping you read this, reaching out for some help bringing something to attention to plarium. So I may or may not have spent 1.2k on primals just to get mezomel and find out she’s not usable anywhere in this game. I have epics more useful than her in more areas. Aren’t mythics supposed to be AMAZING? What’s the point of spending that kind of money? If you could help promote buffing these extremely underwhelming $1600 champions I truly would appreciate that. My Raid is a champion COLLECTOR game. So having restrictions utilizes more of my collection than any other content. Very happy the end rooms of Sintranos has slapped all the CCs who have been raving how EASY this content is right in the kisser LOL
Havnt focused on hydra since I got all the myth hero fragments..can't beat the boss so I just got my 100 fragments and moved on to live arena
can you make a guide on chonoru as there are no good builds it would really help alot

I think with cursed city they should introduce 3 more main bosses for it and give us more keys a day and cycle through one main boss a week and at the end of the month if you've killed all four bosses that month you get a unique piece of legendary amour and if the introduce a nightmare mode for it it would be a mythical piece instead but that just my idea feel free to add on to it

Crazy in normal and hard the double boss encounter no problem. But the regular dt struggle bosses with secret room stipulations shut the door on Dark fae , Both spiders, Bommel and Scrab smh.
I really do not like live arena but now I have to do it since you need the extra stats to do cursed city and i am struggling there as it is, frankly that is not a fun thing to have to do LA, I wish there was an alternative since I like the cursed city very much.
Just a heads up Live arena doesn’t give you bonus stats for the cursed city so no need to play it of you dont enjoy it. Normal arena will give you great gall upgrades though which apply to you individual champs across the full game so that s worth grinding

Completely agree with you with the Silver. Another thing...I have a lot of pieces of champions from fusions that I have not been able to complete...what good does it do me to have those champions without completing them? You should be able to exchange pieces from one champion to another? otherwise there are champions that I will never be able to complete.

Not sure if everyone knows this but if you think your stuck on the weekly quests "clear 2 stages of cursed city" you can replay the stages you already cleared. Didnt find that out until this week, so dont miss out on your extra energy flask people.

Can anyone please tell me why promo codes won’t work for me, I’ve had one work and that was deacon Armstrong and every other one over a week now hasn’t worked, and I’ve used all current ones and none expired, uses various current ones from various sites and other players
I haven’t cleared the first district yet.
I definitely like the update, I get that it is hard; but thats the point. For me this is a marathon not a sprint. I like to have the ability to build champions and know that I'll have more uses for a champion. Would love a Gwyndolin or Basilis Roanas build on the other channel

They have made this content flexible enough for players to avoid certain paths which means some rooms can be made crazy hard and left optional to please the absolute end game players , this is a good thing but honestly I am not sure if they need to really make it more hard - if someone like you is feeling the silver crunch then imagine the state of an average player ( even if they are end game ) , the least they can do is offer free regear token like the double xp tokens and the best that the can do is get rid of gear removal cost- not sure if it will crash the infrastructure but it will be a landmark change in terms of quality of game improvement, it will open up the game like never before

If I had to speculate, if you can kill both taras, then you deal with marichka, who revives taras ofc but then she’s dead. Easier said then done given sethalia and Staltus ofc

Lvl 80 almost, I'd like to say my hydra team is non existant, couldn't be bothered. After I finish my nm and unm teams I might start working on it, probably not for another 3 months lol

Our clan isn’t doing hydra that much. Our leader tried to pump it up, but people started leaving because it’s kind of a waste.

I want a different team mechanic setup like a group of waves you can only use 1 or 2 champions. Then I'm not stuck because of blessings. Which I've beat the new boss but I'm stuck before sandevil because of blessings and lack of champions. So I want different set ups for a challenge versus spending challenges.

They just want us to put high level awakening and fully ascended gear + accessories on those selected epic champs (which btw will not be used anywhere in the game if they are already end-end-game) to beat the last few remaining stages. Obviously it is a way for Plarium to drain out your resources for literally nothing so its either you are 100% sure to clear everything at the end or just don't bother wasting resources and wait 10 months instead for Kharnage. I don't consider these niche secret room as end game level/content, sorry to say, it is nothing more than a resource drain.
The conditions are bullshit I can't beat the sorath double boss stage bc I don't have a champ available with HP burn
