You have my respect for letting people know not to spend money on basically a casino game that doesn't pay..!
any game that has random drops is a "casino" game...
You are 100% right about the thought process of keeping mediocre artifacts thinking someone will use them but then never going back to those pieces when gearing a champ cause your always looking for the best pieces. I think with this in mind I'll do a gear cleanse today and I should make lots of room lol.
Got into Raid a couple of weeks ago during a stay in Hospital. Your videos are so good and provide so much useful info that is really helping me learn a lot more about the game and be efficient, love the content, keep it up my man ❤
This is probably the most sense I've heard made on what stats to look for on a gear set because it is *difficult* to determine what stats make sense from just looking without a lot of experience. Thank goodness, we have this video so I can learn here instead.
That's the hard part, getting the right substats rolls on sets. Always getting crit rate shield gloves, RNG hurts

great info for new players. i have been playing for a week. your channel is the best. i DO live a minimalist life in South Texas...not a tiny home, but a try not to buy stuff that holds me down. live lightly. i could move anytime...anywhere. thing u said that made a whole lot of sense: get the mentality that u have a threshold of the artifacts u want to keep and what stats u are looking for and sell the rest...this is a NEXT LEVEL mentality for RSL. it separates u from the pack. i was already kinda doing it, but u helped me to sharpen those skills. best RSL learning channel on the net. in early game..like me..i try to just keep everything 3 stars and above, then i try to find gear that has the best useful stats. sometimes i just have to use 3 star artifats that have junk stats just cuz its all i have at start of game. as i level up and get more resources, i get more picky.
The thing about upgrading "garbage" artifacts is that sometimes, especially in the early/mid game, that's all you have. You just need that extra push to scratch your way into end game content, or at least reach a level with access to better gear drops.
In the end game, yeah you sell trash gear no matter what.
Been playing for about a year now and I'm totally, completely flabbergasted with gear and team compositions. I have no idea how to improve my teams nor what gear/sets to concentrate on. I have the memory of a goldfish when it comes to what stats I was trying to improve or max on a champion, so dabbling with gear just makes me frustrated. Then again, I'm enjoying the small improvements along the way which come from opening a new mastery or getting a new leggo. Thank you Ash for these videos, they kind of help at times while confusing at others...

I so wish I saw your video's before starting the game. Because of your videos I am concentrating on certain champions instead of every champion for upgrading. Now trying to decide on Ruella or Miscreated Monster for upgrade to level 5. So glad you and others are out there in TH-cam land! Just added that following your guidelines and checking out my needs, Miscreated Monster is now up to level 5.

hey bro, love your content. I"ve been a "nomad" in my van that i converted for 3 years now. I left a job in the software industry to live on the road in a more simple way. I wish I had started sooner!
I went minimalist, when it comes to social media, not quite the same I know. However, I have a no-verbal autistic son, so living out in the wilds is not going to happen. It did however, change my whole mental state. I now live without everything, no Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. and the pressure to answer those tiny little bells has lifted a massive stress burden, and I don't regret it. TH-cam and occasionally Discord, is all I do now and they are for things like your vids :)
I would say, take your phone, for sure, Take photo's for the memories, but be with your son and lock out the world for a couple of days. We will live without you for a couple days, and your son will appreciate having you ALL to himself. You don't have to share every moment of your life , as it's happening, Upload/share those photo's when you get back, like we did in the old days. It will be better for your headspace. Believe me, I've been there.
I think the main reason people hold onto artifacts that are borderline, is so that they can immediately use a champion that they pull and max, then upgrade the gear as they go. Particularly coming out of midgame into endgame. I'm one keying hydra normal (clan can't do higher), 3 key UNM clan boss, 1 key nightmare, do max classic dungeons (and keeps) easily (working on solo builds for them), farm Iron Twins at max, and complete every cycle of Doom Tower normal (haven't completed Hard yet, but I get about 2/3 the way up...Siphi and Duchess suck lol). I'm consistently in Gold V Arena. I'm just now finishing my first 30 days after earning Visix at 299 days played...so I haven't been playing forever.
I'm JUST NOW to a point where I can be utterly selective about 5 star gear (unless it's high value set, and even then I'm still selective). Flat stats go in the trash unless it's high speed stuff. When I auto farm, I only keep 6 star gear (no reason to tempt myself y'know?). Most 6 star stuff I'm selective with as well (I still can't get 100% crit rate without crit rate gloves, and my highest crit damage champ is Genbo at 226...everyone else is below 200). The reason I'm still holding on to gear is as I said above...there's a LOT of highly ranked champions I still don't have. My success to this point is hinged on a few lucky pulls, and two REALLY high value fusions in Helicath, and Pythion. Both of which I was able to gear with some of my best pieces, but fill in with borderline trash and use to GREAT value immediately. Helicath put me into UNM CB even without being fully unkillable, and completed Doom Tower normal for me. Pythion got me well into Doom Tower hard, with Visix and Harima (along with Scyl, UDK, and others filling in the blanks). He also helped me jump 3 full levels in Iron Twins, finishing the final boss in every cycle.
Gear is my LAST issue, when I can push 100% crit rate, 300 accuracy, and 250 plus crit damage next to 200-250 speed...I'll be set lol.

It finally clicked with me.... I got a daily Forge Pass quest to upgrade a chestplate to level 8. I filtered my 6* lego chestplates and clicked on the first one: savage set with RES. The next was Immortal with ATK. Rather than simply click upgrade and collect my reward I finally realised: bin them and look for something worth upgrading. A huge thank you!!!!!

Thanks for speaking on spending you actually got me into this game two years ago like I said before your the first content creator I watched and I'll admit I git hooked and in a two year period I spent 23k 😢and I'll still spend not as much now because my account is pretty stacked getting a good clan and be able to collect clan boss rewards slowed my spending but I do feel bad at times because in knee deep as they say and it's a game and unlike Xbox I don't own sh---feels bad could have bout a brand new car or put down on a house I do love the game but I'm definitely going free to play now but thanks for speaking up and out

So trues Ash. Also I'm always sitting around 10 mil silver, 400 gems, 4 sacred, 7 void, 30 ancients; that's pretty much nothing for resources and I still manage to get all the fusions.
Omg, the CASINO MECHANICS of leveling up any artifact!! Sometimes easily 500,000 plus in silver!!
I think the Tiny Homes are pretty neat, Ash. I've seen the shows about them. It will be an adventure for Charlie and you. I've not stayed in a TH but I did grew up living a boat...tight spaces foster togetherness...there's no way to separate. My mother was "unique" shall we say and would leave some times. Even so, some my best memories of my Father were just the two of us traveling on the boat.
Minimalism is a mindset. Works for any size house or apartment. Tiny Houses is a trendy reality TV/TH-cam thing that is a side effect of how expensive real houses are. Most Tiny Houses don't own the land and end up having to pay rent for the land and utilities and you can be forced to move. It's presented in a positive spin, but living in a very small place can cause extreme stress. You don't see a lot of follow up on those Tiny House shows because the reveal everything looks cool and seems great. 2 weeks later it stinks like dirty socks and dog food.
9:40 literally ALL the time for Faction Wars. If I dont have enough 'good' champions for a certain Faction I'll put a random Common in a crappy Shield set so that I can get 3 Stars in the early stages. Then I dont need to worry about the silver cost when I use that champion for food later.
I have a lot of mediocre artifacts on decent champs maxed at 16, it’s what I had to build with at the time, I don’t do around auditing my champs Gear often, I’m usually saving my silver for the next artifact enhance event during fusions.
The artifact enhance events usually come up at a bad time schedule wise, for me to make new maxed gear and audit old champs.
I used to really enjoy spending in raid but when the guaranteed for void jumped to 110 I just stopped the greed just became too overwhelming I have no problem supporting a business but I will not support greed
I'm very surprised how quickly I figured out what a good deal vs. not so good to purchase was in this game. I'm a minnow spender and, I mainly focus on things that I need that make sense that fit in the budget that I have. I'm still learning about gear. I think when it comes to getting picky about it, it's going to be really difficult for me, I know.

I´m especially guilty of hoarding too many artifacts that I think "maybe can come in handy later on". I almost always have full storage (1500 pieces, which is honestly just ridiculous.

I only keep 5-6 star leggo artifacts and 6 star epics, as a general rule. I do keep the occasional rare that has a double speed or crit rate roll.
I live in a small RV with 2 dogs n just what I need. We travel with the weather n live free.
Best advice for new players: Coldheart is the most important void rare champ you can pull.

One of my favorite champs I made for fun was Flinger, I have him fully leveled, booked, assended, awakened and think it’s so fun having lame champ and turning him into a beast😂
same here! i think it's enjoyable to pick a personal favorite and max her/him out. every champion can be good in an area of this game. after all, we play for ourselves. 😁

For some reason I can’t get past level 12 dungeons. I’ve got a few max champions w a few that have masteries and level 5* gear all maxed idk what I’m doing wrong. My max power on a champion don’t go past 26k I’ve watch starter videos but have no idea what the hell im doing. Any help please
My Stepdad keeps talking about getting a "live-aboard" boat when my siblings and I move out to go on "The Great Loop". I think minimalistic living is a Great Idea.

I agree with you about all but i will point 1 step here about artifacts and stats always stats are more important then sets i can put my champion in some sets if i have good stats on it witch i want otthervise i build my champs with random gear to get most value of my all champs

@@justdoca yeah I’ve wasted so much silver leveling up trash. I just can’t seem to learn the mechanics. I’m starting to get better with gear but still not where I need to be. Not so great at team building my either. So atm I’m farming dragon liar to get as much artifacts as I can. Then I’ll go from there.

about the money I spent over 400 bucks on the 2 events we just had on sifi and cardiel I did not get any legendary this time around

Yakarl the scourge has been a surprise for me. But he just isn't a nuker, Great control champion. Built him to nuke, ended up he had the best control time out of all of my champions and he hit way worse than other nukers. His passive just basically offsets the decrease dmg from freeze so it's not like it makes him hit harder.

As a rule of thumb is a fully booked rare better then an un-booked legendary? (assuming same role and gear stats)
No, because most rares are useless in the end game or even mid game and many leggos work without books. For example a Ronda at 6 stars needs no books, but she absolutely needs 6 stars and ascension. Leggos have way better stats in most cases. Coldheart is one of the few rares that is the exception that proves the rule. She's the one rare that is better than most epics and is very unique.

WELL, ash u RLY dont want to hear this, but some months ago when I started and got my first void, instantly lvl to 50, to this day I regret this decision cause lvl 50 was hard at start, it still takes some time now. BUT, guess who it was, was it 1. daybreaker 2. coldheart or 3. harrier ? I think you can guess what it was :)

Please you chosens play, or hellhade should do a live stream where you freshly start and show what do u start off doin and how to progress that would be really helpful for us beginners not actually go thru the full process because I know this game is grindy but just show us to get a good idea because your tips and tricks come off as to someone who's been playin for quite some time and I was totally lost...no disrespect I just want help makin progress at the game that's all

As an also new'ish player of 4 months now, don't be afraid to take your initial 3* or 4* gear - even if it's just grey common crap to at least Lv8. If spending say 500k silver on your main dungeon team can help you unlock the ability to reliably farm Lv13 and work towards hitting that lv16 goalpost, it's still a really good investment at the end of the day.

I was forced to be a minimalist because of the bullshit raid does. I thought I would try to get infusion leggo and then run out time and was short 1 infused food champion (f me because I thought I had to sleep). Plarium makes it too difficult to get leggos. I've learned my lesson, Plarium. Won't happen again.

U don't need a house in the middle of nowhere to be a minimalist. Literally just throw all the junk and Sh*t out of your house and u won't believe how good it feels.
You need money to live a minimalistic life, so is kind of pointless IMO. Is not like you can build a small home in any patch of land, you need to OWN land. Pointless.
I must say, it would be nice if Plarium wouldn't charge me a boatload of silver to regear my champions. Also, it would be nice to open up any faction that's less than 63 INSTEAD HAVING TO WAIT A WEEK!!! 😉
