I spent 3 weeks in Mexico City...I got to make friends with locals and locals are the best source of information when finding the best places to eat in Mexico City. If you plan on travelling to Mexico City - I hope I can present to you the best information on where to eat when you're here. I hate eating a bad meal so I spend a lot of time researching the best places to eat for the time I spend travelling to new places.
Roma is considered a magical neighbourhood in Roma. Roma is even more popular after Alfonso Cuaron’s movie Roma was a hit at the Oscars. It's a safe neighbourhood in Mexico.
There's lots of cafes, bars, restaurants and hopefully this video will give you insight on where to go, what to eat and do if you spend time in Roma.
I love to use Airbnb when travelling. It gives you the opportunity to get to know locals and their way of life. Airbnb hosts can also offer the best tips to make your stay most enjoyable. It's also a great way to make friends while travelling from all parts of the world.
Jonathan Orzoco is an Airbnb Superhost. His spacious apartment offers a great view, incredibly comfortable bed and is central to everywhere you want to go to in Roma. He's also an incredible host.
If you're interested in staying with him on your trip to Roma: here's the link:

If you want a discount for your first stay with Airbnb - here's a link
You will get $45 CAD off you're first home booking. And get $17 CAD to use toward an experience worth $63 CAD or more.

    Places featured:
Pancracia Bakery in Roma - they make vigilantes - sometimes - when they feel like it - if they have them - buy all of them!
    sites.google.c...
    Buna cafe buna.mx/
Lalo - offers great bakery items, excellent coffee and huevos con escamoles! Try the escamoles! They're ant larva - it may sound bad but it's considered an Aztec delicacy - like Mexican Caviar.

    El Parnita
My introduction to El Partnita came from Gastronautadf a well known CDMX food blogger. El Parnita is where all the hipsters, successful artsy types, celebrities, food blogger following foodies, influencers, older shaggy haired folks with funky eyewear rim don’t mind to mingle on the sidewalks of the cool and popular Roma neighbourhood in Mexico City while they wait for a table to open up.
I came here for their tacos but they serve up many other delicious items on their menu.
    www.elparnita.com/
Expendio de Maiz - next door to El Parnita. This is a partnership with Paulino Martinez and Jesus Tornés - the concept of this restaurant came from their desire to learn about the corn that goes into the tortilla. They travelled Mexico together to find the good farmers that were growing heirloom corn from their ancestors. Passionate about being the best taqueros, they wanted to master the most often looked over component of a taco - the tortilla itself.
There is no menu and they serve up whatever fresh ingredients they have in season in a rural style kitchen.
    Panadería Rosetta
Rosetta Panadería in the Roma neighbourhood of Mexico is the best bakery in Mexico City and certainly deserves a visit when travelling to CDMX. Try one of their Berlinesas which are like pillowy donuts. My favourite donut - the raspberry and pink peppercorn - is one that I would squish, over and over again.
Ladina Bar - is the coolest bar in Mexico City - serving up some of the best and unique cocktails you'll ever have. Check out their bone marrow taco!

    Taqueria Orinoco
    www.taqueriaori...
Best Tacos in Mexico! They have tacos al Pastor and chicharron tacos which are amazing. Check out my Vitamin Taco episode!

Your videos have a lot of content, I appreciate that. By the way, thanks for supporting "Maíz Criollo" and its traditional producers. This different varieties of corn are the heritage passed on by generations and generations of hard working Mexicans. Even the flavor of tortillas has changed since I was a kid., that's what that guy was talking about. The mass produced corn bought by the industrial brands floods the market and reduces the diversity.
