If you are not one of the thousands of fraud victims, it doesn’t mean you will never be.

What Are CRA Scams?
CRA scams are simply scams perpetrated using the name of the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). As the country’s main revenue agency and taxation body, the CRA’s name carries a lot of weight and legitimacy.
Because of this, scams that use the CRA’s name usually yield good results for perpetrators. People often don’t usually investigate too much when they believe that they are receiving money and that the CRA is simply calling to confirm their credentials or identifiable information.
Despite the CRA continually informing Canadians about tell-tale signs of communications that legitimately come from the department, scammers still manage to find ways to fool people.
Still, with proper care and a little healthy suspicion for every bit of communication that asks for your identifiable information or financial details, you can avoid falling victim to some of the most common CRA scams.

Cra holding my refund for years claiming I don't pay HST on my business. I haven't been registered for 8 years & they still hold it. Isn't that calling the kettle black. Really wish I could talk to a legitimate employee not hired by Harper. That's where the trouble started.

i have the cra looking to collect on a 5k tax bill . i got a letter in late 2021, they claim they have a t4 slip with my name on it , claiming i worked for a company that i never did and never even heard of . ever heard of this scam ? government wants me to pay taxes on $76500 that i never recieved and know nothing about .
Sounds like it might be a scam, but call the CRA directly to ask! (get their number from their official page)
cra says letter is legit ,they think i worked for this other company that i never heard of , i have already notified a bunch of people including cra.

Also, do put some hashtag such as #passive income , #canada, #international student etc in your videos as this may get your videos more views. I searched for passive income canada and this showed up as there was #canada......hope this helps.
