Don’t think this is a spoiler but just wanted to let yall guys know that the wife (her name is Carmella) is infact NOT one of the most hated tv show characters that you mentioned. Actually It’s the quite opposite, in the sense that she is deemed as one of better written/appreciated female tv character, similar to kim wexler from BCS. There is Miss Rodeo Idaho and Miss Rodeo Oregon but Miss Cowgirl Idaho, 1997 Oregon is a mystery to me. I'm used to seeing T-shirts in Asia with somewhat inexplicable English words on them and perhaps that's where it came from.

Sopranos is my favorite show of all time. I have watched it 4 times in English and once in Spanish with my dad. And I watch reactions all the time. This show touches my soul. I got slightly emotional when this episode ended during this reaction. I can't even explain why.

You're both very smart and perceptive, and yes, it's supposed to be a dramedy, the comedic elements are all intentional and it's one of the funniest TV shows ever.

You've done The Wire, Black Sails, Breaking Bad and Saul... I think it's fair to say that you'd also Deadwood and Rome which are a couple of high prestige HBO shows (if you haven't seen them already) and Carnivale too. For anime, I'd actually to love to see you try out Legend of the Galactic Heroes. It's nothing like the stuff that you normally watch on the channel, but it has the best writing and characters.

Funny thing actually is the therapist the actress Lorraine Bracco she was in this other mob movie Goodfellas as the wife. So when it came to the sopranos she was originally casted as Carmela but she didn’t want to be another typical mob wife character. Hence she became the therapist

I’m so excited for this 🥹 you’re gonna love it! As you could tell by the pilot ep, the show is amazing at fleshing out the characters personalities or motivations through minor details.
PS: don’t worry! A lot of Soprano fans love Carmella. She’s very well written 😁😁😁

Glad you're reacting to this, it's a fantastic show. BTW you should watch the classic mafia movies (at least Godfather and Goodfellas) or you'll miss lots of references. Lots of the actors from those classic mob movies are characters in the Sopranos, like Pussy, Christopher and the therapist
