Running a bit too dry, (bow coming off the water too much. Try lowering the rear stinger just a tad. Also look into getting the hot racing trim cover splash guard (15$ on amazon) will eliminate damn near all water from getting inside the boat. If it chine walks, bend the right trim down a tad will help eliminate it. Dual rudder pickup is also a worthy upgrade. Get that off ebay, Amazon is charging double. Great video though. Mainly watched to see how to open the motor, got mine used. Who knows how the old owner ran it. 🤙
God damn it sorry for all the comments. The stock cooling jacket is also know to leak. Get an aluminum one. I didn't get mine too long ago but I tend to go balls deep into new hobbies and learn pretty quickly. Ironclad RC here on youtube is a great source of RC boat information
Na man, this is all great info! I’m not a big boat guy but love this Spartan. (Just because boats tend to be pricey and I end up with another plane instead) Going to adjust the tabs a bit and look into the $15 piece to stop the water from getting in. I debated the aluminum cooling jacket and dual rudder hose upgrade when I first got this. But I find myself using this more in spring when the water is still pretty cold.
Well it actually can I live in the Bahamas lol I get to run year round.. to be honest I just finished my first boat build, it’s a used 49 inch Apache with twin outboards…
Shit also. Take some pool noodles. Like 14" pieces cut into 1/4's and stuff it along the sides inside. If it does flip it will help the it not goes nose up if its fill with water 🤙
Thanks! Just getting use to editing and talking to a camera! Lol RC boats are so much fun! Not as much skill needed as a plane. Just plug the battery and go rip some waves!
I believe a majority comes in through the drain holes in the back. Going to test that theory with some rubber plugs to see if it helps. If it doesn’t then 100% it is from the shaft
@@Jays_rcgarage thanks for the reply I’ve just had my spartan a couple of days now but only got two runs in as it’s windy as hell at home at the moment. Very happy with the boat 👌 🍻

38mph top speed on 6s? Cool video thanks for sharing.
Would running through fresh water after clean it well enough?
Came here to answer the same question. It's a scientifically sound theory. I think we're onto a winner. That's what we do with outboard motors
Great video man... Has anyone ever tried FPV with Express LRS on boats? I am curious to know the range people are getting.. Cheers 👌

Is it me or did I hear a siren when he was cleaning the boat?

Wow this Chanel is just great I’m thinking about getting a rc boat but I don’t know if I just want to focus on my rc plane that I recently got

@@Jays_rcgarage Hi you really tryied this in salt water ?
@@ThatGreenApple I only use them in salt water. That’s all that is around me !
How about the battery's? Lipos can get saltwater??
Grease where the wires go in and out or use plasti dip
hi do you know where to buy some gaskets for the hatch and hull so thevwater wont get inside the hull ?
Just get some weather stripping from home depot. Also the hot racing trim cover splash guard helps keeps water from getting in ($15 on amazon)
Batteries, wires?
Hoping i can get one😂
Do you know how the majority of the water is getting in?
Is it via the shaft, cooling circuit or getting in through the lid ??
Top video 🍻🇦🇺

@@MC-bg7ro yup, the stock cooling jacket for the motor is know to leak. Best to upgrade it.
So, when it comes to cleaning up after a saltwater-run, is it OK to spray water all over the electronics, including the motor?
Yes
Hatch tape
To do that in your living-room it’ not GOOD 👎👎
