Oh I would love to call the Galle cabinet my own. Probably the only furniture shown here that is more valuable now than all the other furnitures. My favourite by far!
I'm trying to find a clip of my late grandmother who had a table at the antiques road show in the late 90s in North Wales, possibly Series 20 Episode 19 of 27 Porthmadog She was with her granddaughter during the filming. Hopefully there is a clip somewhere as I would love to see it.
Still worth its price in my opinion, that leather was put on by hand and it makes it look good, it being in the sun is a non issue you can lacquer it again or just leave it, it's worth about 20-25k in my opinion you won't find many better in all of England if this is what you are after
#1)The Davenport, #8)Parketri Table, #9)Book Cases, #16)Roll-top Desk, #20)Cabinet, #27)Marriage Chest. Most favorite would be #1-The Davenport. #2 would be #16-The Roll-Top Desk.
What a shame about so many of the glorious homes of bygone years being taken down after the 2nd world War. Simply too expensive to keep up and taxes became outrageous in those years. 90% taxation to the rich during the 50s and 60s. Insanity!
Which of these furniture pieces is your favourite?

Repeat, repeat, repeat.
In that last segment it looked like the AR producers got the B team when it came to hiring local videographers in Canada. Sheesh!
