Just a old man thinking about how my hands no longer work the way they used to. Since the starboard side of the trolling motor bolt holes have slots, why couldn't a person start the bolts on that side, at least the 1st one under the motor, and use the needle nose to hold up the washer then slide the motor and plate together and install the rest of the bolts?
Yes, you could definitely do that. However, I found it easier to do it the way I did in the video. You may need an extra helping hand if you start all three of the bolts first. Either way is fine 👍
Is it possible to put a lock on the quick-release to detour the theives?
Yes, you can place a lock on this.
Just read that the part that actually grabs the connecting point on the plate is plastic. A few horror stories of them breaking in rough water while going down the lake and deep sixing their $2500 TM's. Any concerns there?
Just happened to me.
@@340360moparwhat happened exactly? I was in very rough water last week for extended periods without issue.
@@340360mopar What happened? I had my boat in Canada last week and some prolonged rough water. Fortunately no issues.
Like the new logo. Sweet boat
