It really irritates me that this channel isn't blowing up by now. It's an Elder Scrolls fan's fantasy. I can't get enough of these videos. Keep at it brother. I know one day, you'll get the views you deserve.

My favorite city is Markarth I love going there for dinner parties

Windhelm has my favorite architecture, but I don't like the layout of the city, especially how far the general store is from the rest of the shops. I understand why, but I kind of wish there had been a smaller shop there, with the larger, wealthier shop in the main area. Even after all this time I get lost there, which is also an issue I have with Markarth.

Amen. No getting lost in Riften.

@@aspiringistari Purely from a gameplay stand, Riften is possibly the best city, or at least in competition with Solitude. The shopping is so good, and the layout is simple.

Actually there are two general stores, the High elf is one of the two general stores and the other one is an actual store and not a vendor

Markarth would be my favourite except for the fact that it is a bitch to navigate.

especially with the soundtrack there. Reminds me of the wilderness and good times in my high school times. 2011- 2015.

I am confused how Solitude got an overall of B.
With a characters rating of C and a backstory rating of A, I understand that averages out to a B, but there's a whole S rank in the design, is that just ignored for the overall?

    1. Windhelm- This city is number one for many reasons. First of all, Ulfric is a seemingly good Jarl, and the overall layout of the city is awesome. The quests are really good, and it has transportation to both the coastal cities and Raven Rock. The Palace of Kings is beautiful as well. I have two major negatives though. First of all Rolff and Angeror and the true racists in the city. I also don’t like how the argonians are out, but from what I’ve read that’s because the Argonians and the Dark Elves fight. Also the dark elves have the Gray quarter to complain about, but according to a fricking High Elf, not only a high elf but the same race as a fricking thalmor, the dark elves did it to themselves. Also, multiple high elves (2 I think) have done really well in the city. So it’s obvious that racism is not systematic here. Once again, the fricking same race as the Thalmor, the stormcloaks main enemy, have made it in the city. So, other than Rolff and Angenor or whatever the city is awesome. You also get to start the dark brotherhood questline here.
    2. Riften- I really love this city because of its overall design, the inn is amazing, the quests are absolutely legendary, and the presence of the thieves guild is what boosts the city. This may be controversial, but my opinion is that Thieves Guild is better than the Dark Brotherhood. Just the uniforms make the Thieves guild better. The overall complexity of the city is really good too.
    3. Whiterun- This is way too low in the list, but I would have put it tied to Riften if I was doing ties. The Gray Mane and Battle Born rivalry is one of the best rivalries in the game, the quests are absolutely amazing, the city is beautiful, and it’s the first you see. Also, the shopkeepers are pretty interesting.
    4. Solitude- I know this is also pretty low, but once again I am very anti-imperial and the Thalmor in the city annoy me. The quests are amazing and the daedra quest is one of my favorite, but the house is really expensive and it is very imperial-based. The death of Roggvir also really made me hate the city because I believe he wasn’t guilty of treason.
    5. Raven Rock- First of all, the overall ash design and dark elf I really like. I mean I may be a Nord, but the city and all its layout, buildings, and even the house you get make it really fun. I also really like some of the quests. Delvin Mallory also severely boosts the score.
    6. Markarth- I know some may think this is pretty low, but it’s not the best city. I really like the design and dwarves base, but I hate the Silver bloods and Forsworn, and the city’s slogan is most literally ‘Silver and Blood.’ It would be much better if the city wasn’t so greedy, and more dwarven based. I would have liked if Bethesda would have somehow given us maybe one or two dwarves like that one Yagrum dude from Morrowind.
    7. Dawnstar- This city is slightly bigger than Morthal, and the characters are pretty basic, but the Dark Brotherhood base and the daedric quests, along with the AE quests make it pretty good.
    8. Winterhold- For me, this city is a little ranked high on my list, but I couldn’t put it lower than Morthal or Falkreath. The city itself is pretty sucky, probably being the worst on its own, but the lores cool as Skyrims former capital, and the College carries. I am personally not a mage ever, but the college is just such a cool place with a book seller, all the types of magic, and some really fun quests. So, Winterhold gets a little higher than Falkreath because of the college.
    9. Falkreath- The city is decently sized, and the characters are not great. The jarl gets on my nerves and the city is great with quests presenting two daedric quests. I feel it’s overall okay, but could use some upgrades. It’s also really out of the way.
    10. Morthal- I don’t think I have to explain this choice. It’s a really bad city because the characters, quests and buildings are all terrible. Overall, it’s a bad city.

Windhelm is the best looking visually but is confusing to navigate(which adds the city feel but can be a little annoying)

Next all the holds should be ranked by their power and influence. Economically, military and by population. Including things like resources, agricultural production, trade and guard strength. Just the hold individually, not including whatever side they have in the civil war.

I think morthal and dawnstar while haveing less charcters overall have a better perecentage of interesting ones that solitude and should be rated higher. the layout of markarth is something i dislike but i also like dwarven architecture. winterhold at one point was skitrims capital and the jarl sends too to retrieve a crown from the tomb on one of the kings from that time would rank the backstory maye one tier higher for that. windhelm also has nice architecture but I dislike how for the general store is from the market area. Raven rock has the new temple aka the temple of reclamtions which is a temple to the 3 good daedra of Azura, Boethiah and Mephala, as opposed the there living gods of the tribunal (Almalexia, Sotha Sil and Vivec). A decent Video overall but i feel some of the cities were undervalued do to some of the lore not exactly being found within skyrim but needing to play and read books from other games for the lore tidbits to appreciate some of the cities.
