I'm actually surprised you guys didn't include any coaster stations from the Efteling. They generally make fairly detailed stations, I'd say Baron 1898 and The Flying Dutchman are really good, maybe even Joris and the Dragon (Joris en de Draak in Dutch) as well.
I can confirm the station of Fly shows why Phantasialand is just up and above so many other parks, it was mindboggling how many details where there (and if you count the walk, especially the section before you get your locker wristbands is also neat).
An honourable mention is Wicker Man at Alton Towers. And possibly Nemesis Reborn too, depending on what they are doing inside that station during the refurb.
Love this video idea! Riddler's Revenge is a good one for the music alone. Can't overlook the Batclones either, they have genuinely awesome stations. You guys should do a best on-ride audio soundtracks video.
Id like to add Mystic Timbers to the list. The scattered signs and tools adds to the whole "shed/deserted outpost" vibe, and the trains "turning on" with engine noises during dispatches is another nice touch to the ambiance. Also thank you for including Time Traveller. That entire line/station experience was insanely on point for the time travel theme, and build up to what is one of my favorite coasters (I've only been US so far so Ride to Happiness and all that other European goodness still eludes me)
Personally would love to give an honourable mention to the swarm at thorpe park , baron 1898 and Flying Dutchman at Efteling, kondaa at walibi Belgium and vampire at chessington ! Great vid
My favorite station on the planet is Millennium Force at Cedar Point. Something about the red lighting and that catchy song provides a battery boost, especially at night.
I was so excited getting on FLY I barely noticed the station around me lol. But the queue, the ride, the land, just jaw on the floor moments everywhere
I found it intimidating. The seats are rotated and the train comes in and stops very abruptly with loud steam noises. It felt very inhuman and robotic and you have no idea what happens later. Really cool.
Space mountain, specifically Disneyland. (Haven’t been to magic kingdom) but the way you just watch those rockets turn into the lift hill and disappear into space as you slowly walk down the ramp will never not build anticipation.
I feel like the original Batman the Ride deserves a shout out. For a Six Flags ride built in the 90s, it's highly themed and tells a story through the entire queue, before ending in the iconic Batcave.
I know you aren't going to count these, but the buildings for both Gemini and Millennium Force are great representations of retro-futurism from their respective eras.
I was never a person who cared much for stations but they absolutely make the difference of night and day when it comes to theming. Even a batman clones with its dark environment and Black Mamba, it makes it a lot cooler.
I was the further I got through the video, and with F.L.Y. Already mentioned early on, I was constantly thinking „They won’t finish that video without mentioning Black Mamba, would they? 🤨“. And of course you didn’t 🤩. But you left me hanging there for quite a while 😅 Great video, and quite a few I already need to experience. I only rediscovered my love for roller coasters the year before COVID hit, and had quite a busy life since then, I can still count the number of coasters I’ve ridden with 2 digits. But I’m so happy that Phantasialand is like my home park. Heide Park would be half an hour or so closer by car, but come on… I’ll always take that extra time. Heide Park does not even play in the same league. 😅
Among ones that come to mind that I have experienced would be Batman the Ride, Alpengeist (Busch Gardens Williamsburg), and Jolly Rancher Remix (Hersheypark)
I like it when a ride station does something to make the crew really feel like part of the experience. This is often easier on dark rides like the ride hosts on the Haunted Mansion, creepy Bell Hops on the Tower of Terror or the Prisoners on Flooded Mine. But it's cool those rare times when coaster crews can do that as well like Piraten. I can't think of a lot of coaster crews that are given that kind of involvement. I wish we could see more.
Shoutout to my home park coaster, 1066 at Festyland ! Its station has a loose medieval theme, but what really stands out is that it features a replica of the historic Tapisserie de Bayeux, which depicts the conquest of Britain by Normandy. The Monster at Walygator deserves a mention for being the absolute opposite of a good station. It's just a raw, naked platform with no walls or roof. You just see the bare steel frames and hardware that would be hidden on a normal station, that's quite disturbing
So proud of Leviathan (SeaWord) I still cannot believe this thing exists in Australia VRTP really spoilt us with it, and the ride itself is just amazing too
As someone who’s been to Phantasialand, I was waiting to hear F.L.Y. the whole video. I was in awe when I saw it for the first time, just the entire lead up to the first launch is amazing.
I think Xcelerator at Knotts should be mentioned, it has little theming but the way you see the coaster launch out of the station is amazing. It really makes you want to get on the ride even more
@@simonr6268 Yes. I wouldn't say that as much a station thing like what would be on the video because its more the actual ride and how it operates but its suck a genius method.
Sea World Australia is one of my home parks. The first time I walked into Leviathans Station. All I can say. OMFG!!! I don’t know what I was expecting, but what I saw was not what expected at all!!
on 26th april, voltron nevara opened, i’ve been in europa park last month on the 14th september, i rode voltron and i musst say, the coaster is absolutely nuts! And i must say, the station is one of the best stations i’ve ever seen. I’ts such an crazy coaster, with 7 inversions, the start is an beyond vertical launch into a looping, i think voltron nevera, was the coaster, that europapark needed, so much airtime, so much inversions, and the beyond vertical launch into a looping was just so amazing, almost breathtaking. i watched onride videos of voltron, but when i got to ride it i was really just like the best rollercoaster i‘ve ever rode in my entire life, i’ve been at cedar point in usa, i’ve been to so many amusement parks all around the world, but voltron was by far the best coaster on this world to me (just my opinion, someone else may have another opinion, since everybody does not like the same as others do) silverstar, blue fire and wodan are also top coasters.
6:58 Meanwhile I somehow could 4 high quality FLY POVs from 4 months ago. Plus I remember Phantasialand briefly showed FLY’s station in a random clips video that only appears for 5 seconds.
fly has a great station, I did it last year, and probably this year, so cool how you get in the cars, and the flip right before the launch is weird to feel
Some of the recent coasters on the gold coast theme parks have had some great theming, even some of the older ones. Superman escape, leviathan, storm coaster (it's predecessor was heaps better) are the main examples.
Not gon lie, back in 1997 when Batman The Ride opened up at SFoG, I’ll never forget the moment when we first entered the Batcave station (after a 4 hour wait…no joke!)…my Batman Returns obsessed self could hardly handle the coolness/realness of it we were amazed impressed and thot it was so next level. Prob was my first experience in a well themed station as well
As much as I hate horror, I have to appreciate the attention to detail and ambiance of Saw The Ride’s. Really creepy but also quite chaotic atmosphere, reflecting the lore perfectly👌🏻
You guys always do perfect with your videos i’m not sure if you guys saw my last comment on your inversion video but I said that you guys should make a best first drops on roller coasters video. I think that would be awesome and I guarantee skyrush will be number one lol
Verbolten deffinently desrrve to be on there. I love how you get slightly nervous once you learn about the black forrest as you go through that weird nature sciency room with vhs horror found footage of the black forrest.
I actually find the Station of F.L.Y pretty uninteresting. It only has a few cogs and pumps or whatever an no actual story or thematic throughline. Also I adore Ride to Happiness but the theming in the queue is just all cheap feeling plastic. Maby the european expectation is a bit higher here tho.
Great review, guys, as always! I'm so happy this wasn't numbered, but appreciated. Taylor, did they talk you into a little make-up since you're on camera? Lips, bro, they did too much. Not hating. I'm just a fan, as always!
I got a zen ride in the front of rock n roller coaster, second to last rider of the night too. I thought that was crazy cause I waited 70 mins. Awesome station though
Either I’ve been living under a rock, or does Untamed have a very similar theme to Mystic Timbers at KI. Definitely calling it RMC’s Mystic Timbers from now on.
Black Mamba and Wicker Man were two that first sprung to mind for me here. I really hope Alton pull out all the stops for Nemesis Reborn. Externally it’s one of the craziest stations, but the original whilst fine could ln’t match the external theming
One of my favorites is Escape from Gringotts. It's not the best as far as coasters go (in fact it barely even is a coaster), but the station is awesome.
The Flying Dutchman at Efteling is the best station I have ever seen.
yesss, you totally feel like your in a real village at night, it just works so welll
I Totally Agreed.
It’s a wonderful space. Feels more Disney than most coaster stations.
I missed It in the video too
This channel doesnt care about Efteling, not ranking it in the top 4 parks in Europe is a disgrace.
Where Baron 1898? Thats by far the best station!
personally i would put flying dutchman's station above it
Yup thats a lot better then a lot of others on this list. Heck even the flying dutchman is better then some on this list.
the pre shows and pre lift show on Baron are incredible, but the station itself is nice and well themed, but not as noteworthy
@@HoltAlex Correct but then you can put untamed of that list as well.
So good
I'm actually surprised you guys didn't include any coaster stations from the Efteling. They generally make fairly detailed stations, I'd say Baron 1898 and The Flying Dutchman are really good, maybe even Joris and the Dragon (Joris en de Draak in Dutch) as well.
I think you missed a few european stations:
- Baron 1889
- Fluch von Novgorod
- Flying Dutchman (Efteling)
- I also really like Blue Fires Station
Eurosat's new station also gotta be on there
thanks for mentioning Blue Fire, that station has a total vibe
I’m a fan of the station for Wodan at Europa Park, mainly because the eyes on the Norse god statues follow the train as it leaves the station. 😂
Icon also
I can confirm the station of Fly shows why Phantasialand is just up and above so many other parks, it was mindboggling how many details where there (and if you count the walk, especially the section before you get your locker wristbands is also neat).
Black Mambas Station is really special to me, with the music, the lights, the ambience…
Love that station. The music really hyped you up.
the saw station is 10/10 with all of the theming and ambience
Very True
It really sends shivers down your spine
An honourable mention is Wicker Man at Alton Towers. And possibly Nemesis Reborn too, depending on what they are doing inside that station during the refurb.
Ye but Barons is better than ( propably ) both
the fyling dutchman has an absolutely amazing station
To me one of my favourites will always be the vampire station, the colours, the organ, the animatronic and the music all work so well together
You should do the same video for coaster queues!
Love this video idea! Riddler's Revenge is a good one for the music alone. Can't overlook the Batclones either, they have genuinely awesome stations.
You guys should do a best on-ride audio soundtracks video.
why do i see you everywhere its kinda disorienting
I've seen him on multiple coaster channel comments. I can tell he's a thoosie!@@aaron375

I think Vampire at Chessington deserves a mention ! Out of all the parks I’ve visited in the world, this was the one that blew me away
I liked the Dragon Challenge station at IoA. The queue is super dark and then you finally get a peek of sunshine to build anticipation
rode tron lightcycle run last week at magic kingdom. absolutely awesome!!
always so happy to see phantasialand in these videos
me too 😂
Shout-out to Rita and Stealth for not even bothering to have a station, just literally platforms open to the environment
There is a recruitment film from Phantasialand where you can see the station of F.L.Y so its not illegal to show this! Just for your information :)
The new Loch Ness Monster station is also very good
My favorite station on the planet is Millennium Force at Cedar Point. Something about the red lighting and that catchy song provides a battery boost, especially at night.
Agreed, definitely some of the best station energy
I was so excited getting on FLY I barely noticed the station around me lol. But the queue, the ride, the land, just jaw on the floor moments everywhere
I love the station of F.L.Y. It's very cool that the colour sheme changes from blue to orange when the train enters :)
I found it intimidating. The seats are rotated and the train comes in and stops very abruptly with loud steam noises. It felt very inhuman and robotic and you have no idea what happens later. Really cool.
@@patrickkoller901see, I didn’t even notice that detail 😂
This opens up a whole potential video series of unique theming in que's and rides
You guys talking about Ride to Happiness brings back happy memories of trying all the rows of the coaster. F.L.Y. is very special as well.
Such a sad day, when they tore out almost all of the queue theming from the original Batman at great America 😢
The station of OzIris at Parc Astérix made me feel like a kid again. Absolutely stunning.
I know you aren't going to count these, but the buildings for both Gemini and Millennium Force are great representations of retro-futurism from their respective eras.
Black Mamba was the first that came to mind, very glad it made the list.
All I'm missing some Efteling Stations, especially Flying Dutchman and Baron 1898 - otherwise some very cool stations! ❤
I was never a person who cared much for stations but they absolutely make the difference of night and day when it comes to theming. Even a batman clones with its dark environment and Black Mamba, it makes it a lot cooler.
Great video! I like the Flight of Fear one a lot too. I also like Banshees as well. And the old Vortex old The Bat station.

Yes, shoutout to my home park Fiesta Texas that made it on this list!
You guys should put hulk on here😊
Mann I love the content you all crank all!!! Super unique topics that are all interesting!! Thank you for the content!
6:47 there are some pictures of the station going around. There's even a phantasialand hiring video that shows the dark ride section and the station
I love the Batman stations. The batcave thing is awesome! I think a lot about the bat clones are overlooked because of how many clones they made.
Love Kondaa's station as well as Baron's. For sure honourable mentions.
the Kings Dominion Flight of Fear station got even cooler this year because the park turned literally all the effects back on
Glad you mentioned Black Mamba. It's still my #2 ride at Phantasialand and i really like upgrade of the station.

I quite like the Station for Harry Potter and The Escape from Grintgotts. Really great cave design, really feels underground!
Honorable mention: Dragon Mountain’s dark cavern station.
Poseidons Station in Europapark is pretty underrated
I immediately thought 'verbolten' when i saw this video title, glad to see it was on thr list.

FLY for sure has a insane station. the entire indoor queue felt so unexpected but great
SO close to 250K!
I only just this year found my first POV of F.L.Y. on youtube! 👀👀👀 been about a month.. not sure if its still up

Shoutout to Encharted at PA. Queueline and Station are 10/10....then you ride it 😔
when you said RMC my home park bias starting making me think it was going to be wicked cyclone
W flight of fear in kings Dominion

I have a feeling Curse of the Werewolf will make this when Epic opens
Wallabi holland is so smart because when they made untamed, they knew that they wouldn’t have to trim the plants, that was 100% on purpose
I know this video was made before the ride existed kind of but nemesis reborn's station is mental

The two that immediately came to mind for me that you didn’t mention was Eurosat CanCan Coaster (Europa) and Konda (Walibi)
No adventure Express? I really like what they did with the retheme.
You forgot the stations from the Batman clones
I was wondering if they were going to include those. the ambiance in those stations was top notch when they first opened!

I would say I would also put kondaa on the list!!! Like it’s so cool!
I remember someone posted a POV to F.L.Y and I screen recorded it. Now I always have a POV of F.L.Y cause the video got taken down.
If Riddlers Revenge still has the Ecuador remix playing then that's the answer regardless

I got a zen ride in the front of rock n roller coaster, second to last rider of the night too. I thought that was crazy cause I waited 70 mins. Awesome station though
As of now. I think Voltron Nevera easily claims the crown of best station. Those departures are insane!
You guys should rank your top favorite themed flat rides
How was flight if fear picked but not adventure express with the new refresh it is amazing
Either I’ve been living under a rock, or does Untamed have a very similar theme to Mystic Timbers at KI. Definitely calling it RMC’s Mystic Timbers from now on.
