    Hello. Thanks for the tutorial. I love that you showed the embroidery part too and not just the piecing. I'm a beginner and this really helps. I was wondering where I could get your design. Thanks

    I'm glad you enjoyed it. I design a lot of the projects I use for Embroidery Club, but not always. If I offer the design to you, then it's my own. If I use a design done by someone else, I will tell you where you can download it for yourself or purchase it.

    What a delightful tutorial. I just finished a cover for a friends Kitchenaid mixer with coffee material. What are the odds? I have not yet used my embroider feature of my machine yet though.yikes! Do you think this would be a good project for a novice. I felt like you were sitting right next to me..lol

      Thank you for your kind words. I do my own digitizing. I use MasterWorks, Designer's Gallery Creator, Palette, and PE Design. My favorite one is MasterWorks.

      Can you make any suggestions for software for quilters, like myself, who just want to learn to convert SVG files into stitching files? I am mainly interested in continuous line designs, and can draw in inkscape. I know how to create a PATH, just not sure how to give it direction, or anything else that may be needed. I loved the video, and will send an email to you; as I would love a copy of your design and instructions. I have a 2nd hand embroidery machine, and have only tried it a few times. I would love to make small in-the hoop organizers, as well as mugrugs for friends.

      Digitizing software can be very expensive. I have used Palette (same as Brother's PE Design) and even teach classes in it. My favorite is Designer's Gallery MasterWorks, but is also expensive and it is very powerful digitizing software. I'm not sure what brand or model of machine that you have, but all of the sewing machine brands have similar, and expensive software and all of them do about the same thing. Since I have been an educator for a Babylock dealer, these are the software packages that I know best.
      Designer's Gallery has come out with a new and very affordable digitizing software that I have also been using and like very much. It's called Creator and it comes in three levels and does about 90% of what I can do with MasterWorks but is much more affordable. Level I runs about $239.00 and is a basic digitizing program that will import jpg and bmp files. I think you would need Level 2 that will bring in SVG files very nicely and it runs at $499.00 and will do everything you want to do and more. You can even download a free trial at designersgallerysoftware.com/ You can purchase this software from any Babylock dealer. I even have a couple of TH-cam videos showing the software at DG Creator Digitizing the In the Hoop Tissue Holder or at Introduction to Designer's Gallery Creator Software.
      I hope this information helps you make a decision.

    what is the name of the wash away stabilizer ? Thank you look forward to making this and appreciate your videos.

    • @SoEasyQuilts
      @SoEasyQuilts  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's called Dissolve Away Mesh by Babylock, but other manufacturers make the same kind. It completely dissolves in water, but unlike Sulky's Ultra Solvy, it doesn't tear easily.

      Don't worry, I just did that for the video. Water and electronics don't mix very well.
