  • TH-cam please don't copyright my video. These are the deleted Scenes (Are scenes that were Cut out of the Final Film release) There's no way you can put a copyright claim on it because it's not copyrighted, the Scenes that are in the final cut are, not the ones deleted.
This isn't really a Reupload, it's more of an Updated version of my original video from back a year ago.
Theses are Deleted Scenes of Superman 3 Seen on TV on ABC back in 1986.
All the deleted scenes for Superman 3, these are from The 2012 Bluray (or 2006 DVD), and in This Video which I got from dailymotion
    (Link: www.dailymotio...)
and The TV version of the Opening Credits in Cinemascope
(Link: • Superman III: Main Tit... )
Superman 3 is a Warner Brothers film, and owns the rights to Superman, this video is to demonstrate the scenes that were cut in a Version of the Film, this isn't really fair use used but still it's for Entertainment and For Fan Editing purposes.
    Enjoy!

I have the full screen 4.3 uncut version on vhs, it was recorded in the late 80s on itv here in the uk. it is 2 hours 15 minutes long. ( yes the adverts are cut out ). in the late 90s they put it on bbc1 in widescreen 16.9 and i recorded it and i was not happy. they put the credits overlapping the street scene i thought what are they doing. then they kept cutting bits out through out the whole film reducing it to 1 hour 55 minutes so i did not keep it. i thought the bbc done it them selves as a lot of editing was done on films for tv viewing especially the bbc. the bbc really messed up smokey and the bandit as well where buford t justice was voiced over so he did not swear. it was funny but annoying.

When Clark and Jimmy are on the bus, Jimmy comments on the sunset. Clark replies "at 3 in the afternoon?"
When Gus gets out the paper scraps of plans he says IBM doesn't have anything like this, and Lorelei knows it's a computer but then backtracks into ditz mode and asks "Is it a hairdryer?"
I think there are a few more shots of the trio of villains ballooning into the Grand Canyon (could be wrong on that one).

This is what annoys me when richard Donner was no longer directing, when Superman saved the kid from the Tree, Donner or atleast a decent writer would of had Supes land with the child, hand him to his mother and said something special to the kid or asked him if he was ok, not just say 'Bye' and fly off, really bugs me know how Donner was treated half way through the 2nd film, and this director took full advantage of it and pissed all over Donners characters and story

15:38 I'm sure this scene was longer where Lorelei says to Superman 'I'll do more than tell you. I'll show you, back at my place...If you'll just do me one little favour first.' I think I saw the extended version on television and so much was trimmed for future releases. Thanks for uploading this. The title sequence was far better with the titles and darker version of the theme by Ken Throne IMO.
7:12 Definitely should have left this in as Lorelei really had the intelligence but disguised it. I thought Pamela really had the comedic timing but very underused in the film. Coincidental that people compared the personality to Marilyn Monroe as she played a character also called Lorelei in 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.'

The funny thing is compared to the extended cuts of the first two movies, these deleted bits all feel like they should have been kept in. They just feel like a normal part of the movie while a lot of the extended bits in Superman 78 are just lots of walking and awkward bits where the dialogue goes on for a little too long. I mean, quite a few of the deleted scenes of the original do have substance and would have been nice to have, but there's no point in showing Otis walking through the train station for several minutes(plus you see the same extra teleport from next to the detectives to next to Otis, all while mugging the camera).

I was gutted the JAWS CIC-Taft rental videotape didn't have the additional scenes the ABC television version contained - about six minutes' worth.
Having never seen the film before its television premiere, in 1983 (Australia), I didn't know the film screened was extended - but I did notice the unedited language and gore from the CIC-Taft rental tape, when I borrowed it a year later, so that was some (small) consolation.

No, the original vhs and dvd releases had the identical opening credits to the theatrical release. The space flying credits shown in this video were put together by the Salkinds for the extended TV cut, basically to increase the running time on TV and make them more money. The campy slapstick opening you refer to still happens in the TV version but without the credits overlayed.

This movie was just awful. Gus Gorman wasn’t believable as an “accidental computer genius,” Christopher Reeve didn’t have the warmth and heart that he did it Superman and Superman II; as a matter of fact, he played it like he was disgusted with the whole thing. Lois’s cameo wasn’t worth the time she spent onscreen, Robert Vaughn was smarmy, not evil or menacing, like Lex Luthor, and Brad was totally unnecessary. This was just a hot mess. Firing Richard Donner was the biggest mistake ever.

Disagree on Chris. He was fantastic in this movie.. He was in his physical prime, looked amazing in the suit. Chris was extremely comfortable with the role and played the evil Superman to perfection. I also love how he toned down the goofy Clark because Lana was interested in Clark NOT Superman...
Pryor was NOT miscast he just needed to play the bad guy.. He needed to be the one pulling the strings trying to rule the world destroy Superman etc.. Lester wanted him to just be funny.. It did NOT work..

I'm surprised Lorelei was able to walk after she and Supes had their one night stand, tbh. He is a pure blood Kryptonian; even if his powers had been weakened some by the synthetic green k, she should have at least been walking funny afterwards. And Chris missed a golden opportunity to touch on Supes' one night stand and the fallout of the same in the next film, all bc he wanted a storyline about ending nuclear war, smfh. That would have been waaaay more interesting than what he wrote, and maybe the film wouldn't have bombed so badly at the box office either.

    • @FirstnameLastname-my7bz
      @FirstnameLastname-my7bz ปีที่แล้ว

      I disagree.
After reading original Siegel era (until mid 1943, but Really it is until 1941 when Superman as well as Batman and Robin and other characters started to get censored on the "questionable" parts like killing bad guys or torturing them or not bothering with saving them), then 1943 till 1948 which is Siegel + Cameron + Finger mix, then Bill Finger era, then full blown Silver Age era with absolute peak ,at that point, of everything, then Bronze Age since 1969 which is also First Ever time Superman nerfed in his powers but also became self conscious and doubting if he ever should have an absolute power (and not because he can't bang Lois like in II, but more of a moral imperative and burden thing, which was in Puzo script)
I don't think any Reeve movie truly feels like Superman comics.
There are some moments, but mostly moments. And what many folks don't realize Superman The Movie was actually deconstruction of the comics of its era, so I really don't count any movie after 1978 because comics themselves became influenced by The Movie (compare death of Eben in George Reeves show vs death of Jonathan in Chris Reeve movie, then compare Superman #146 death of Jonathan with Action Comics #500 death of Jonathan, like truly compare, don't let your nostalgia omit certain details and context) ever since, which is how in modern comics S comes from Krypton.

I have a thought and it occurred to me yesterday that maybe somewhere in my book that I'm writing for DC Comics I'm going to put a little section to honor Richard Pryor because Gus Gorman plays an extraordinary role in my book from my understanding the villain for the third Superman movie was meant to be Brainiac so what happens is Superman saves Gus Gorman and then he defeats Brainiac and in the end Gus gets a job at the Daily Planet thanks to Superman and in the end Gus Gorman settled down has a couple of kids and he's close friends with Clark Kent and towards the end of that story I got to put a little message saying For Richard Pryor
