I never get tired of you telling the story of your moves or how you ended up where you are. It is also refreshing to hear how you went from doing ok to the lowest depths and back to the top again. It is a great story and I am here for it!
Dont mind what others say or think ... you seem a proud man sharing....just your lovely place where you feel most happy and stay content with your family...enjoy!
Man I think we must have been brothers in a former life....needing to be by the ocean, needing a daily walk, going out and meeting new people and finding community. I love your philosophy man. The intro and outro music is so stirring too...love it!! Keep up the fantastic work!! Happy vibes from New Brunswick, Canada!
Its much better to stay on the mainland near a beach than an island in Greece for many reasons , but mainly because most of these iislands except for the largest ones get really deserted after the summer season and during the winter when the weather is bad there is no transportation available to the mainland if there is a medical emergency. A good friend of mine has a house in Evia ,which i have visited a few times. Its the second largest island in Greece and its connected to the mainland by a bridge and its also about a 2 hour drive to Athens and also to the international airport
Nafplio is beautiful, but some of the islands are pretty amazing too. That's my dream someday. I have a tiny apartment in Athens and hope to get a second place on an island. I hope to visit Nafplio for sure 😊
Well done lad 👍 Keep staying fit for your family 👊 Leonard Cohen found the muse in his psychology in Hellas . Good fortune for future endeavours. Greetings to all and sundry from Sydney Australia 🍺
daniel is known what you are saying first time i went to nufplio was 1995 and since then i come every year i love the place it’s got the island feeling
I drove by that market for a bit after we went to palamidi for a couple hours. Boy finding parking was a bit hectic but managed to find a spot in the lot by the yachts . Some beautiful views of the entire city from atop that mountain.
Palamidi Fortress! Such a wonderful place! Great story about your experiences during the Covid lockdown. We hope to retire in Crete in a few more years.
Snow?? Global warming man. Maybe a snowflake here and there at the peak of winter. It's the 45c heat at summer that you need to worry about. It's dry though, much better than 35c and humid, you can breathe.
Hey Daniel, appreciate the content loco, I'm Oz born Greek, I'm moving there in 12 weeks from Sydney, my family's from Crete, but I prefer to be around the main land, so I'm looking to move near Pyrgos, maybe we'll catch up for some asado one day, lol. I have many Latino friends here in Australia. I was looking to move to Uruguay, but I contemplated and concluded to go to Greece, my Spanish is not very good either, though more the lifestyle choice, rather than taking the plunge in South America, I'm still going there for a while because my friend is moving there, So I'll go there to help him set up a business then I'll return to Greece, hopefully if ww3 don't break out while I'm away. Anyhow, what's the vibe with the locals there in regards to conflict escalating?, is it a concern for them?, I'm not freaking out about it, but it's something that I'm observing. ciao loco!

I’m also Oz born Greek, I have moved from Melbourne to Greece but 50%. As we’ve stopped working, we have purchased an apartment in Attiki Athens and spend six months in Greece and six months in Melbourne, I like the best of both worlds. Certainly Nafplio is one of our favourite places we visit it each year. We sometimes do a day trip or spend a night or two. We find that having our base in Athens, it gives us flexibility to travel to any place in Greece.
Keep in mind I am Greek and the Question most people ask and most people tell me is the following : “ what ? You wanna move to Greece ?? Are you crazy ? What are the kids gonna do for work ? For education?” Etc etc . As if Canada is the only place that has schools…. However a legitimate question is what are my 2 sons gonna do for work ? All my relatives cousins etc live in Greece and they all tell me jobs are scarce. My cousin is a cop in Athens .. but all my other relatives are either farmers or in and out of jobs here and there .. seasonal. Having daughters is a little different Daniel because they can marry men that will take care of them.. perhaps even marry rich ! 😂 not the same reality for boys. Anyway .. cheers ! 🍻
Sorry but I also have a daughter, and I hope she wont depends on a man, not even think as feminist. They both have to be interdependiente as a spanish word, depend on each other in my opinion

I’ve been all over Greece and Nafplio is my favorite!
Great video Daniel, the view is beautiful 😎👍

It's beautiful! Kefalonia or somewhere in Mani as well.

Looks great. I've noticed that the islands need most things brought by ferry. And certain amenities are not available.
Depends on the island.
For example, Crete feels like mainland or Euboea is actually connected to the mainland (1 hour or so drive from Athens).
Thanks!
I'm curious how much snow do you get and how cold does it get. It's such a beautiful place. Enjoying your videos from southern New England USA

Αχ αυτό το Ξενία. Τι διαμάντι είναι και σαπίζει δεκαετίες τώρα. Τα δωμάτιά του ήταν μέσα στο βράχο θυμάμαι. Φανταστικό

If you can move in Crete just do it! You won't regret it! Probably the best place to live in Greece and far better than Pyrgos.

Live in Pasalimani... amazing.
We're planning a trip around the Peloponnese and will be staying in Nafplio for 2 nights. What are your recommendations?
So beautiful! But How are the hospitals?
Where are you from originally
Venezuela

Please, don't move to Greece. Greece doesn't need people like you! Keep your ideas in the country you already live.
Typical Greek mentally - need to avoid that negativity as much as possible
It really looks like an AI generated background, though. Maybe it's the colors which are in contrast to your black hoodie.
Now I know you cannot, put toilet tissue down the toilet. Do not want
to even visit.
Just use the shower can clean your ass- it’s better and fresher -
Do you really think 10 million Greeks do not put tissue paper down the toilet each day?
@@Lorraine-p4r I guess my comment got censored when I said to use the shower to clean yourself
