So she invests more in the emotional connection than just the sex alone "Will he be a good father to the child we might make?". I understand what you say and basing on it you seem to come from a well secured background. Where I come from women don't have sex because of feeling or thinking of a man being a father but women use sec to substanciate it against the financial effort of a man. But for most women, every sex act could possibly result in a child(unless she knows beforehand that she can't conceive) and then she might be left with a child and no spouse to support them till they're grown. Maybe that's what we've lost in the old practice of dating a long time before sex. Caring about the other person as a life partner first. Question...With people living so much longer lives now, do you feel that marriages should be re-negotiated once all the children have grown and left the home? It used to be rare for couples to live to see their grandchildren.
