What an adventure, love the night stills and the beauty of the middle of nowhere in the desert. Also loved the friendly "Goata " and the runway maintenance.
ha, I wish I was holding back. I just don't get enough time to edit all the zillions of hours of video I have. Got a ton of journey's to post. One day! Thank you, though!
Your photography gets better with every video. I watch on the big screen to get the full effect. The nighttime stills at Denio were awesome. Gas prices are curtailing our happiness here in Washington state, I can't imagine the effect they are having in CA. Hang tough, this to will pass. You made my Sunday morning start off great.🤓
Another great adventure. Bet it was hard to separate from your old flying buddy and have him fly away. Sure is flat out there. I too would have been worried about scorpions. They can get into a tent, seems like from nowhere. Don’t like em ! Hope to get to do some formation someday.
Once again a great video. My wife and I just completed a round trip drive from Missouri to Yellowstone and Grand Teton and then to Zion and Bryce Canyon. I seem to remember you and Diane flying through the Tetons on your way to OSH. I have to find that video now.
My header tank holds 6 gals. My wing tanks are 9 each for a total of 24 gals. That is 4 hours of flight with reserves, that is enough to make my back teeth start singing "Anchors Away".
The continuing journey.... very nice, looking forward to episode 10. Did you come down for the High Desert fly-in at L05 ? Beautiful weather for it... All the Best, Ron
Wile E. Coyote's artillery gun , made by the ACME company! We all know how well ACME products work. It looked like you were flying over Mars. Beautiful country.
I'll try and dig out the numbers for the next video. I don't think they ran dry. I think it's only happened to me twice in 800+ hours. And once was near the airport, just to see what the light looked like!
Nice video. Tried contacting you via Ercoupe TV contact ,but no joy ;( We are hosing a n Ercoupe /Aircoupe Fly in in Oliver BC Canada 2024. Be great for you and Dian a to attend. Dave
Hi Dave! I fixed up the message thing on my website, should work again now. Would love to fly to Canada! When is it? And can I fly in with my 978 ADS-B? I'll research flying into Canada.

Thank you for sharing this adventure.....Such a treat!
Another great episode. Love the night photography. Good flying and beautiful scenery. Fly safe!
Denio looks like a pleasant over nighter, always good to see a new strip!
Always good to know 805 is flying on the screens in Aus!
Another brilliant video as always James. I love those superb views of the desert. I've got to get back there before I get too old!
A+ Enjoyed the Second seat over the Desert
Really enjoy these videos of your flying adventures. Can’t get enough as I am sure you are holding back. Thank you.

I loved those photos you took with the stars. It must have been quite magical! 👍😎
Thanks, Tim. It really was quite magical, I love doing this sort of thing. Jodel in the suitcase, bring it over!
Another great video. I never get tired of those big open spaces!
Thanks Max!
I hope you got your coffee!
The views were great - take care and see you again.

Totally forgot this was filmed 2 years ago! Bloody hell!
It's a little crazy. I really need to give up the day job, so I can get these out quicker! (ha, I wish!).
Hey James it's been a long time to go for a ride You make it fun That's what it's all about.
Awesome James. Thanks.
What an amazing segment James, it definitely looked like another planet! Thanks again for sharing this adventure with us all.
Excellent video, thanks for sharing, this. Is a great site.
Thanks! And you’re welcome.

Sounds like a great road-trip! And yes, that would have been my 2019 Oshkosh trip, I flew the Coupe, Diane and Charles were following in the MINI.

I have the same tank sizes. Just over 3 is my limit!
13:53 Over that ridge in front of you about 10 miles ahead is Bog hot spring.. Land on the road, take a refreshing soak.
Hey Jack, I really want to get in there one day. Thanks for the tip!

Hi Ron, I did not get down to the Kern fly in. Maybe Lone Pine will happen, might bring the fam in the Warrior, we'll see how the weather holds.

So were the wing tanks dry? I only did that once in my Ercoupe. Watching the nosebowl float going down gets your attention 😮

Great video. Are you going to High Sierra
I don't think so at the moment. We might take the Warrior down to Lone Pine instead.
James, how much fuel did you get?
N87267
15 gallons (see the next video, uploaded today). So I still had 3 gallons, even though I was showing zero...
