Stole the show. The character change between “mild mannered central belter” back stage and “complete psycho” as soon as he started singing was amazing. Whole show of him covering scottish band classics (and I’m including donald wheres yer trousers in that 😂) would have done it for me, hope he does the cover in his live act going forwards.
Oh my god i am tears. I watched this . I'm very very scottish blue nile was an early part of my life. I met dela amitri in 86 at paul tyagis house. U have to understand I've just stumbled upon this by a fluke on a friday night. A walk across the rooftops
I was a bit disappointed with this gig, I felt that if you were going to take the best Scottish pop songs then they needed to be covered in a nothing short of spectacular fashion. I hope Billy and Alan weren't able to look down on this performance of 'Party Fears Two' as it was a road crash. Saving grace for me was Hamish Hawk marching onstage and belting out THE best version of 'Take Me Out' I have ever heard, hats off to Hamish, he was the star of the show. I was really looking forward to this event but it just felt rushed and badly curated. I hope there is another chance to do these songs justice in the future and show the world the best of Scottish music.
At the last song I shed tears. R.I.P. Karl Wallinger, the musical genius.
Thanks for sharing. Love & Respect from Japan.
Hamish gives his all, gets right in there and shows us how to perform with conviction.
A brilliant performance from Hamish !

Hamish stole this. Absolutely brilliant

Fallows cover of Party was what made the evening for me!
Roaming Roots is a highlight every year. Roddy and the band deserve so much credit. Brilliant
Agreed a brilliant show !
So many great Scotish bands and songs.
Some of the music coming out of Scotland in the last 40 odd years has been outstanding.
Sounded great on my headphones. Be back for 2nds😘
Brilliant concert!

That's a fair comment
Agreed. I always enjoy Justin Currie right enough.
I totally agree. I thought it was better than the original.Eddi Reader was excellent as well.
Did Paul Buchanan not want to do it?
It would have been amazing if Paul had done it. I don't know why he didn't.
