@Justin Walters No, it’s actually a lot different. The 2015+ is based on what Ford learned in the Boss project, but the parts are different. The heads on the Boss are hand ported, while the 2015+ are cast the way they are installed. The valves are different on the Boss (sodium filled exhaust), and the cam has a different duration *and* lift. The pistons, rods, and crank are different. Of course the intake is different. Because of the heads and intake, the Boss achieves maximum hp at 7,400 rpm, 900 more than the 2015 coyote.
It is based on a base model with cloth etc but the interior has enough special things to make it feel special over a normal mustang. It's not fancy but it's a nice interior for what it is.

Man that's one badass Boss 302 Mustang and at 750 HP at the rear wheels this thing is definitely will drive like a BOSS. Let's hope Ford does make the new 2020 Boss 429 with the new 7.3L Godzilla V8 made out of Aluminium.
Why would you put a push rod engine in a new mustang this is not the 80s that's foxbody stuff. The new modular Ford motors will make more then enough power them engines are meant for fleet vehicles yes it makes a lot of torque but it's still a pushrod engine mean like a LS when a coyote can make 800 horsepower with just a supercharger now you got to buy cams, headers , ects and then boost just to make some good power and just to get into the 10-second range in a quarter mile
@@moeslide897that is nonsense. A 7.3 could go 10s na easily in a mustang with fairly simplistic mods. It isn't always just about peak power. I agree they ain't gonna put it into a new mustang but it's a cool engine. A Ford performance intake manifold and a good custom cam with long tubes will go beyond 500/500 at the tires with ease. It isn't just about peak numbers the sound and driving experience would be polar opposite from a similar hp coyote. i have a stock f150 xlt 2003 regular cab that i purchased brand new in 03 and looks and runs like showroom and when i stomp on the gas, which i have done maybe a total of 5 times in all those years, probably why it still runs like new with 150,000 highway miles, the truck sounds like a mustang cobra bat out of hell and i have raced many cars from red lights and bush wacked them........
The 2012 & 2013 Boss 302 used the Road Runner engine, not the Coyote engine. The Road Runner engine is based on the Coyote but it is a much different motor.
Yep, that's the BOSS alright!! Nice car, thoughtful mods. I'm especially impressed with the strut mods, and the headers. I wouldn't have done the turbo. I like stuff to last. 400+ HP is plenty for this old man, but gotta say the choice of turbo he made is excellent!
Really Cool Muscle Car. I have a red 2013 Boss 302 & I love it. It is a unique Mustang that gets a lot a looks when I drive it and sounds awesome with the quad exhaust. Is that why I've got constant throw out bearing chatter, and difficulty getting into first and second gear? 04 mustang. I've never had so much trouble with a gearbox before. My old 95 too, same issue.

Craig Edward Jensen The 289 had been replaced by the 302 by the time the Boss 302 came out in 69. The 289 had nothing to do with the Boss 302 being named.
@@melrose9252 didn't know that thanks for correcting me though its ironic that they still call it the boss 302 correct me if I'm wrong but new mustangs have a 351 motor so if the boss 302 had a 302 then it would be underpowered
My friend Scott was deer hunting, he didn't get anyting. On the way home he was headed down a dirt road, hit 3 deer totaled out his 2019 Chevy 4x4, could I put that on as a car mod.
I did have a very loud exhaust, but i decided to weld some resonators on it to make it quiet. I grew out of the "straight pipe, no cat, X pipe hooning. Gets old when every mustang sounds the same 🤦♂️
There's another Mustang with Boss 302 on the side, the 2007 Saleen Parnelli Jones, my father-in-law has one. Excellent car, the exhaust note would put a horn on a jellyfish. It's absolutely unmodified in any way from what Saleen did to it.
Please tell me that Ford uses a hydraulic clutch, in these newer Mustangs, lol. I had an old Mercury Capri RS, 5.0/302 4V, and that clutch was sooooooo heavy... But, it was a lot of fun, to drive. Maybe too much fun? Anyway, some beautiful mods, on a beautiful car - thanks for sharing!
What comes to mind is the 351 boss and the 351 Cleveland. There are the same engine and blueprints It’s just one is made in Boston Massachusetts and the other ones made in Cleveland.. I love the 302 Ford engine I’ve never owned one but I had a Friend had one in a truck And would run very fast.. Correct me if I’m wrong??? I’m sure the 302 is the same way? one made in Boston Massachusetts? as the other 302 made in Cleveland???? If I remember right Back in my hot rod days in the early 80s ?????????????
Pony = small horse, car means MUSTANG = free-roaming wild horse, The Camero was brought out as a match to get sales of the same group, Camero is French translated for companion! Camero is not a PONY car ! LOL
I was thinking about a C5 corvette or a mustang V8 both of those cars in a manual transmission. Those cars are one of my choices maybe as a first car but I got other car choices. I got into mustangs and other American sports cars a few years ago.
What stood out the most to me was the Super HP cup holders. Ford has confirmed they will have a Voodoo GT 500 cup holder swap kit out in 2020... looking forward for that mod hitting the market, can't wait to see how much HP it will increase.
Should've gotten a 99-04 GT, they cost in the 3k-6k range. Very reliable 2v SOHC 4.6L, very easy to repair, plenty of power, few bolt ons easily increases in the horsepower. I have one with 180k, everything is original on it, just do all my maintenance and keeps on running.
Yeah, DEFINITELY. Doesn't it have around 305 HP and around 280 pound /feet OF torque?! That's pretty much the same power as the old 4.6 V-8 and it gets around 30 mpg on the highway- NICE. It's a HUGE upgrade over the OLD 4.0/V-6 (aka " boat anchor ") the mustangs had, SO it's NOT the a poser mobile at all. Honestly,I'm surprised Ford cancelled its production and kept the turbo 4 cylinder. The only thing I DON'T Like about the V-6 is its wimpy exhaust note, so maybe you could you put a FLOW master or a Magnaflow exhaust system on it.

Scotty what's your thoughts on the 1974-1978 Mustang ll.
They were a disgrace to the Mustang name - and I'm not even a Mustang guy.
you can just say its the king of all Muscle cars
thank you =)
How would this compare with the Bullitt?
Boss302 is best! Haha but bullit is cool too
15-17 Mustang gt has boss internals correct me if I’m wrong lol
You’re correct gen 2 is the best👍
It actually had some mods! Awesome car too!
Just a bit of mods dont hurt 😵
@@bosslvlentertainment4839 the past few cars he's shown on here were bone stack! Is much rather see a few mods. That's the point, or at least how he introduces it.
people who disliked this are GT owners who think the boss 302's are the same as there GT...
Very nice car..wow..that Boss 302 is mint and a very knowledgeable owner! Thanks
Thanks i tried my best 😂
The reason it was originally called the boss 302 is because the original mustang had a 289 motor but the boss 302 had a 302 motor
Craig Edward Jensen The 289 had been replaced by the 302 by the time the Boss 302 came out in 69. The 289 had nothing to do with the Boss 302 being named.
@@melrose9252 didn't know that thanks for correcting me though its ironic that they still call it the boss 302 correct me if I'm wrong but new mustangs have a 351 motor so if the boss 302 had a 302 then it would be underpowered
i too read at a 3rd grade level
HAHAHAHAHHAHA
😂😂😂😂😂
Well at least a few of you are smarter than your president.
Stu art *sigh* even when relaxing and watching car vids, there’s this guy. SMH
My friend Scott was deer hunting, he didn't get anyting. On the way home he was headed down a dirt road, hit 3 deer totaled out his 2019 Chevy 4x4, could I put that on as a car mod.
where the hell is the bell ...did it snow in Texas?
Wow. The Boss looks nice.
That car's engine you started up was comparatively quiet after it was started up, compared to others that had oomph to them.
I did have a very loud exhaust, but i decided to weld some resonators on it to make it quiet. I grew out of the "straight pipe, no cat, X pipe hooning. Gets old when every mustang sounds the same 🤦♂️
Vote for Pedro!
There's another Mustang with Boss 302 on the side, the 2007 Saleen Parnelli Jones, my father-in-law has one. Excellent car, the exhaust note would put a horn on a jellyfish. It's absolutely unmodified in any way from what Saleen did to it.
A real hit with the crowd.
That joke is so old, the last time I heard it I was still hunting the woolly mammoth with a spear.
@@jasonlommen4769 Make it 4-5 years. That's the average age of Mustang crowd hitting compilations.
LOL
@Dave Potato They came out with another horse, Pinto ! Although a gaseous bean is named that too ~ a closer match I'd say . LOL
@Dave Potato hahaha a puppy car 💯😂😂😂
This car in yellow is one sweet looking moosetang!
If they took the color from the original 69-70 Bosses, it would be "Grabber Orange."
I traded mine for a California special convertible, that boss so much fun to drive.
What a machine... badass looking car!
Thank you
I was thinking about a C5 corvette or a mustang V8 both of those cars in a manual transmission. Those cars are one of my choices maybe as a first car but I got other car choices. I got into mustangs and other American sports cars a few years ago.
Hey scotty can you let me know if what car is better the chevy malibu or the chevy impala?.
Thank you.
Toyota Camry and Avalon will be his answer and both true
A well made video on a great car. The best wacky Wednesday vid yet.
Haha i was expecting it to be on showoff sunday but i guess whacky wednesday is cool too 😁
Also a little bit more history, Ford Created A Boss 302 Track car the Boss 302 S and the Boss 302 is street version
What stood out the most to me was the Super HP cup holders. Ford has confirmed they will have a Voodoo GT 500 cup holder swap kit out in 2020... looking forward for that mod hitting the market, can't wait to see how much HP it will increase.
Not as much as the triple overhead double reverse door handles.
The cup holder sells it !!!
Thats the only reason i bought it!
Hello Again Scotty😀😀😀😀
hello!
I’m not a mustang guy but that was sweet what a sound
Thanks.
That's a great looking Stang.
Great job owner and great mods.
Well made and honest video.
Beautiful and powerful car.
Congratulations Scotty for this nice segment of your channel.
💯 thanks
I’m so glad that I own such an iconic car I love my Grabber Blue. Great video Scotty an letting this Boss name be known to those that don’t know.
Can youu doo izuzu crosswind in the Philippines
make a video and Scotty will post it on Wednesday.
Ford would have won the 1969 trans am too if it wasn’t for those damn Firestone tires.
I just bought a 2011 Mustang 6speed V6
Still a fun car. Paid $7,600 for it.
But of course i wanted a GT but $18k plus. No thank you
AS Mustang Dang how many miles does it had?
A S Mustang. I heard that!
@@lupavo1738
Don't those have the 4.6L 24v engine?!
I thought Piagot owned the "0" in the middle model name.
Nothing like a mean mustang!💪
Awesome Mustang done right!
Wow! This car is sick! Coming from a GT owner
=D
How much time from 0-60.?
My best time 3.7. But im a bad driver
BOSS LVL ENTERTAINMENT 👌👌
Camaro : I am so popular
Mustang : well,, I am the Boss😎😎
Hahaha good one
Amazing car! So identical but so unique!
🙏🙏🙏
