I just bought a 2020 voyager 1700 2 months ago and everything you said is correct. Some things I learned about the bike are...1 KEEP THE CHROME PROTECTED!(I live in Florida) 2. in stop and go traffic you will get a little hot from the engine. 3 remember your not on a sport bike so you can't squeeze through those small gaps so easily.( my other bike is a ninja) 4 I bought a driver backrest and I'm much happier.(it easily removes if I need it too). 5 if you're new to a bigger bike find an empty parking lot and practice on it(breaking, turning, stopping etc) until you get the feel of the bike. 6 remember this bike can weigh 300 too 500 lbs more than a sport bike so if it starts to tip it will go down faster. But at the end of the day it is an awesome bike and I have so much fun with it.

Being "in" the motorcycle business now for 20 years with every brand made, I have a Voyager in my garage. Pound for pound and dollar to dollar you simply cannot beat it. It takes engine work easily as well and there are a few of us out here running well over factory hp numbers. I love my Voyager. It will be my last bike when I start selling my collection.

My old 2007 vulcan 1500 classic, saved my life after being sideswiped by a car traveling 85mph, bent the handle bar, and motor guard straight back as well as ripping everything off the left side of the bike. Took my left leg with it, but will forever ride a vulcan because I don't know if anything else beside maybe a goldwing that could of handled that impact.

Nice bike. I have a 2005 Vulcan Classic and it only had 8 grand on it when I got it 2 years ago I am close to 14000 on it now. I put on a Memphis Shades fats windshield and some nice locking saddle bags from Viking and now I take it all over camping and touring. I have 2k in this thing and it starts even cold with no choke.. You don't have to spend a ton on a bike. I love Harley Davidson, and the Heritage Softail (which I have ridden and my bike is a clone of) is a spectacular machine but at $20K without tax and title I just can't justify the cost.

Your Vulcan is quite a bit larger than a heritage softial. Vulcans are bigger than road kings too. They are huge. And heritage is a softial...Vulcan has exposed shocks like a road king. So it's more of a road king clone. I have a Vulcan 1600 myself. I got used to it's huge size and when I tried a new softial it felt tiny lol

6 speed transmission. I had a 1600 Nomad and when I sold it I tried a 2010 Voyager new, didn't like it. More cramped than the 1600 and not much more beans than the 1600. Tried the Vision and Ultra and then the Victory dealer had a BMW and they said take it out. I was sold. Long story short I got a leftover 2009 R1200RT. Almost 10 years later, I think about getting another bike, but I don't see anything that says buy me. Where in AZ are you? I am in east valley in Fountain Hills.

I watched a guy, must have been 5'5 maybe 5'4 driving a Massive Goldwing. He dropped it at a red light, couldn't support the weight. I’ve never put more than 4.3 gallons in mine even when that message pops up and still ride another 20 miles before filling up. You can expect to ride 160 - 180 on a tank with normal riding. Shift!! At 80 mph you should be cruising in OD (6th gear). That’s about 3000 rpm. 5th gear at times when needed. Cruising that bike at 42-4300 is crazy.
Love my 2017. Great bike with 45,000 miles and no issues.

Is a harley pan American a knockoff of a moto guzzi v85 tt ? Is bmw 1800 new cruiser a knockoff of harley fatboy? Is Indian challenger a knockoff of a harley road glide? Is a suzuki boulevard c50 a knockoff of a harley softail? Look at them all, test ride, and get what's affordable, most of all get what YOU want and like.

I like these bikes a lot. I think I prefer the Nomad, though, which I think they stopped making unfortunately. I have a soft spot for Kawasaki's in general, though as far as touring bikes go I don't think the Goldwing has ever truly had competition. One bike I think that came surprisingly close though that just... sadly went quietly into the night was the Yamaha Royal Star. What an awesome bike. I get that people really dig the v twin thing, but it's hard to beat the smoothness of that Yamaha v4.

Most likely the previous owner was running ethanol in it. It discolors the pipes and probably was why his fuel pump went out on him.

This bike looks nice and it's cheap compared to a modern touring machine...but its so old and dated ..2023 model...with no updates in how many years...no navi, no BT, no phone integration,no Android Auto...heavy and under powered and this old design didn't even compete with the Honda GL1500 from well over 20 years ago let alone the latest Gold Wing.
I guess Kawasaki still sells enough to justify production, but I've never see one out on the road.

I don't know why everyone calls cruisers "Harley knock offs". Everything HD builds today they stole from the original Indian. First Vtwin cruiser, Indian. First heavy cruiser, Indian. First "bagger" style touring bike, Indian. So you can basically call every Harley an Indian knock off.
