    Hey Capt Dave those are some sweet reels ! I'm a abu garcia/ Calcutta guy myself. I never seen a ryogia until your videos. But I see quality and those reels scream quality.

    Great info for the viewer who asked about the Saltiga. "he's a good guy" !!! We don't care about pretty! overall it would seem as though the comparison is fairly close but the superior reel speaks for it's self. I always felt as though those little audible clicks were, for lack of better words a way to fine tune what you want to achieve. Thanks Capt Dave the info is very appreciated. "do you wake up in the middle of the the night and find yourself bidding on rods reels?" You have a reel addiction when your somewhat happy that you didn't win the auction

      now that I thought about it, I think YOU, said your buddy John was tossing the saltiga idea around.......BUT WAIT !!!!!!!!!!! tell him to WAIT till the next video ❗❗
      and save his quaters. Cuz, addictions get even worse.

    I use to have a cane pole with string and a big treble hook for gigging them Carp down at the pond. I'd climb up in the tree and wait till them whoopers swim by. Then yank em and skank em. Yee haw. Now that's my kind a fishin.

    I've been watching your videos all morning and just subscribed. Great information, thank you! Question for you, do either of these two reels enable you to engage the clutch without turning the reel but by pushing up on the thumb bar with your thumb?

    • @CaptDavesSportfishing
      @CaptDavesSportfishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      HUH? why you'd want that I can't even guess. But yeah, you can put thumb under the thumb bar release and push up.

      too big and unless your Marlin or Wahoo fishing (with the wrong reel anyhow) NO one needs that much line. And no use for it in the charter biz, for me. Drags are not ver exact, and kinda sloppy. Compared to higher end lever drag reels. Ive owned and used and relaced with: th-cam.com/video/rEg0Bl5c0sY/w-d-xo.html
