Agreed. Too bad CBS practically neutered him. Hopefully his character will return more frequently. Their ratings were higher last night than they have been since the first week or two he aired.
It would be cool if he could have a "The Word" segment like once every couple of weeks or something, those were always the best Colbert Report segments.
Also, just in case you don't know, when Captain America was killed in the comics Joe Quesada(Editor in Chief of Marvel at the time) sent Stephen the shield. He said Colbert was the only one worthy of carrying it.
I hope he gets his own segment. You know, like a "report from Stephen Colbert desk" kind of thing. With our political reality, he'd have such great material.

Right? A lot of his segments on the Colbert Report did honestly. Those were some VERY talented writers.

I think he has actually done that before

Great Day!!! America will start winning so much now were gonna get tired of it!!
May this never end!
......it ended and now I'm sad. =-(
This clown is loosing so much in ratings, hw has to resort to his old character
Colbert came through when our Nation needed him the most #notallheroswearcapes
This was great but also sad because it reminds me how much we need the old 'Stephen Colbert' more than ever :(
Just reminding me how much I've missed this guy. We really could use the strength and courage of Stephen Colbert in these grim times.
Damn it was nice to hear him say "Hello Nation."
They got Stephen Colbert to appear on the Late Show!! Surprised Stephen was able to find him.
We genuinely needed the real Colbert back for this election.
The real pretend Stephen.
The Realist, Pretend Stephen Colbert we will ever need.
The Other Guy is alright.

but is he the guy we deserve?
It's too bad, when the character was first created, he didn't get a separate name. It would make things like this easier.
Yeah. Can someone explain the whole Stephen Colbert the man vs Stephen Colbert the character thing?
Basically, Stephen Colbert the character is a satirical take on pundits like Bill O'Reilly.
Oh okay. Where did the character originate? I don't remember him doing the character on the Late Show.
