Mitch McConnell isn't running for president, and we talked about it plenty.
What nobody is talking about is how Mitch McConnell created the Republican party as it is today. He's the one who decided to stop all bipartisanship when Obama was in office. He's the one who decided not to impeach Donald Trump after January 6th.
In fact, in the beginning of Trump's first term, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer managed to talk sense into Trump, and it was Mitch McConnell who privately scolded Trump into never agreeing with Democrats again. If we're going to blame someone for everything the Republican party is, we should be blaming Mitch McConnell.

Yes. Ready at a moments notice. It is particularly important when someone is 81 that when you voted for a Biden/Harris ticket, you could expect Harris could very easily become president at any time. Which is why probably they had the debate early. It was by design I believe. They wanted Biden at the top of the ticket so there would be continuation and no messy primary fight. If he had said he wan't going to run again it would have been a big ordeal over who would be the nominee. They took that off the table. The debate scheduled early allowed democrats to show Biden as he is. I really don't think the debate was 3 months earlier than any in the last 50 years for no reason. So with primaries past... like you said... people voted in 2020 for Harris to replace Biden at a moments notice. They voted in the primariees in 2024 for the same reason. So it is just about waiting closer to convention so there is less chance challengers. If democrats pull it off it will have been a very savvy political move in hindsight. I can't think of any way it would be better for democrats if Biden had announced he wasn't going to run a year ago.

This is not a polled. Clearly his is a hack.
That has always been the only real question - but people keep trying to turn it into a different story. It should always have been "Will you vote for Biden or Trump". Any other question is meaningless.
All this "Is Biden too old" or "Do you think Biden is in cognitively decline" are not useful and in fact represent a danger that it will drive Dems away from voting.
The only reason there is so much "worry" is because the media is driving the concern. When you guys saturate every day for a couple weeks with questioning if Biden can do the job, of course it generates concern. Had you not created the frenzy by making it such a huge, all encompassing story, there would have been a bit of concern that would have died down almost right away.
After all, at most about 1 in 4 voters watched the debate and without the media providing a direction and amplifying it, anyone who had not watched it live would likely not be swayed and those who did would be divided on it. So not enough would actually have been focused on it. Thus, comparing it to other events, people would have dropped it within days.

If you read facts instead of fiction, you would know everything President Biden does in a week and all the things he has accomplished in almost 50 years in politics and what horrible things Trump has done in his lifetime.
There are only three reasons why they might be doing this
1. The election will be rigged so they’re really really not as worried about it as they’re pretending to
2. They actually want to lose for some reason. Maybe because something bad is going to happen with the economy and they’d rather have the blame fall on Trump for that. Or maybe simply because they remember what it was like to be “the resistance” while Trump was president and all the donations that they received during that time. Want to go back to that.
