My dear old man is so sick, when I listen to NIN in particular this remix reminds me how strong was my dad, now I see how life is so fragile. I know his time is coming but I know we will meet again in the stellar universe and we can play this soulful song. Thank you bro!
oh my God, so different from the original (which I love), but turns this track into something absolutely gorgeous! a great reimagining. the piano really does it for me, and I'm not usually one for the hip hop type beats in music, but here it's just done beautifully and works so I'm all for it. and the ending, is that the ending fadeout from Beside You in Time? sounds just like it haha.
Thank you. Yes, the intro and outro are a sample of "Beside You In Time" and if I remember correctly it is repeated throughout the verses too.

This remix just echoes out of my speakers. All the time! Love the original, but this remix is SO much more gentle and soothing...Can't stop listening to it.

Yeah, but one thing that I've noticed is that every single song on that mix is one octave higher than the actual remixes. Since that's the one I always listened to, I've come to like those better. And right now I feel like the ones that I liked never really existed...
Is that right? I'm certainly not musically minded enough to where I'd know a song (or every song for that matter) was an octave higher than another.
In the past the very thought of listening to a remix (or what to me was a bastardised NIN song) , it was absolutely out of the question. It just seemed so wrong for anyone to "screw around" with a Nail's song. But when I finally did I had to admit that some were actually better. Or at least so good I did go through a phase of just listening to remixes. So I know where you're coming from. Hope you don't mind my reply after 3 year's. I just got a heart for my 7 year old comment and saw your reply!
