Mounting Paper to Canvas

Paper expands, canvas shrinks. Mounting paper to canvas is quite straightforward, but something this large took four hands. We still came away with some small tears, but it's all the same once the gel sets. 💧🖌👐👐
Tools: Acrylic gloss gel, rubber brayer, paint roller, plastic scrapers, helping hands, paper towels, weed sprayer for water, plastic tarp, paper towels, scrap paper, cardboard roll.

0:00 - Saturate paper with water
03:06 - Apply acrylic gloss gel to sized canvas
04:45 - Lift paper with a tube
04:56 - Position paper on canvas
05:47 - Flatten with rubber brayer
06:06 - Work out remaining air pockets with plastic spatula
08:18 - Alternate between brayer and spatula till satisfied
