Part 2. Experimented with using acrylic matte medium to impart a more durable seal to the pastel than fixative might provide, and with a touch of colour to counteract value and colour shifts. It was painstaking, and I never knew if I'd gotten all of it. I don't know if I'll go down this route again, and I feel like there ought to be better ways that would also be more natural to the process.
I'm playing with a different fixative now that I'll talk more about in that timelapse. I'm liking it better though it changes the nature of the work. Or, perhaps it simply adds to it.
