I do not usually spend this much money on a single figure... but I couldn't help myself lol. And your review among others just further validates my decision lol.
This is my first MAFEX figure. Hearing you say, "hopefully the joints don't deteriorate but that's a MAFEX thing".... You said it so casually like it's normal but that mess just filled me with so much worry. 🤣 Smh There's only four lines of wire in the cape my main problem is the second two aren't attached to his collar on my figure.
I'd worry. I've had two figures break. All that squeaking is stress on the joints and eventually they twist off like taffy from all the motion. Even heat and lubricant don't help. It really is luck of the draw. The last few Mafex I had did not have squeaks and hold up.
@@a.e.madison5966 I'm 4 for 6 on Mafex figures breaking. 3 of them were broken out of the box, which were pre-ordered brand new from BBTS. THe only ones to survive are my Mommy(Evil) Gwenpool which I am afraid to pose. And then Comic Spidey.

Is it possible the QC issues will still be prevalent on the variant since it’s essentially the same figure? This thing is awesome. Just wish we got a smaller cape to swap out. The big one is fantastic, but it feels like it gets in the way sometimes due to size.

That's a really nice review. It showed how much you enjoy a terrific new action figure. The size comparisons were just eye candy for any collector. My wife ordered this for me at least a year ago. I hope it arrives soon. Iwas waiting for a Robin or Damian Wayne comparison but those smaller Damian Wayne figures must be hard to find. Again thanks for sharing your treasure. Great review!
Mwah dip Buying both personally. Probably won’t get two of the Black version though. I prefer the color blue personally but I’d say get Black if you aren’t dead set on having a Bruce Wayne head. The gargoyle base is awesome and makes the figure have a great value. Might end up with two because not many other figures are coming out around that time (so far) and it’d be nice to have a gargoyle base for both versions.
Also worth mentioning I had bad QC on the cape and right grapple gun hand. Had to break out the superglue to reattach the cape to the figure and grapple gun to the hand when they broke from normal handling. Cape ended up not sitting quite right which is a bummer. Made me scared that something worse might happen.
Having to buy 2 125$ figures to avoid a qc issue. Not good. These figures are all plastic except for the cloth cape, and sport too many qc issues for the price range. Preferred their RAH line, at least they were 12 inch and sported cloth/fabrics

I have the first batman hush from DC Direct and the blue and grey batman hush from Kotobukiya and I love this one, it needs to be in a dynamic pose otherwise it doesn't look good. I'll try to get it

Batman jumped through a window and got tangled in some 100% cotton giant blue curtain. It’s a beautiful figure, but not at its price and definitely not at a higher price than a mezco.
I passed on this figure, and also the Superman, before because the price was pretty high for me plus not enough income. I regretted it immediately after they sold out, never thought I would get another chance so as soon as they re-released I had to get them. Can’t wait for Batman to arrive so I can pair it with Superman and finally get to use the kryptonite ring hand.
Damn this looks good it’s just the cape and head that kinda put me off, but for me personally mezco sovereign knight is definitive Batman for me. Hyped for the superman tho that might be the only supes I’ll ever need
Awesome review as always. Out of all the figures you used for size comparisons, you omitted the #1 figure I wanted to see him compared to & that is 80th anniv ML classic Cap. Is he as tall as that Cap? That will determine if I spring for my 1st ever Mafex purchase as I feel that this is the definitive Batman in the 6' scale.
This is the best batman figure IMO. I loved the Icons Batman until my arm broke. Then I go this one. This is my definitive. Batman. Great photos at the end.

I may have to get this but the last mafex Batman I got..I think it was a Dark Knight one..ended up being a holy hand grenade. I often wonder if the comic shop I bought it at had gotten a knock off. I may get this but I will have to make sure this is worth it.

Loving this figure but IMHO the chest and ribcage are too small for a Jim Lee styled figure. Its perfect otherwise.

So far, for 2020, the only Batman figure I've bought has been the White Knight Batman. This Jim Lee Batman is on another level, though.
