    Lovely tying as normal Davie! The Invicta and Silver Invicta have been in my fly box since the late 1970's when I took up fly fishing and fly tying, they still work. It would seem that I now need to tie some gold ones too.

    I did enjoy it, Davie... thank you.
    I've come to appreciate wet flies watching your ties of them. I tie them now and enjoy fishing them in mountain streams. Thank you for leading me to that.

    Davie, you are always amazing. No matter how many materials ou tie onto a hook your flies are never bulky or even the least bit out of proportion in any way.

    Mesmerising as usual. I tied a dozen silver invictors last week and only used 7 pairs of blue jay wings for the throat hackle. They used to be a past around here, now there and endagered species! Very many thanks for the time you spend making your videos. Best regards Andrew

    Amazing. Another beautiful fie done with such ease. Wingless wets have become my obsession but I've got to learn to tie and fish the winged wets. Thanks so much.

    Hi Davie . Excellent tied as per usual. Please may i know those Blue Jay wings do you get many fly's from the feathers. Why I ask this is because here in NZ we are paying big money for feathers like these and are thinking about importing some ..........but with all the duties etc etc need to make it worth while.
    Really enjoy your channel and look forward to getting notifications. Thank you

    Hey Davie, thanks for sharing. I really love the hen pheasant wings but I have to admit I sometimes have trouble with them. On a good day, I don't mind using it. All the best to you and yours. Sean

    Davie, Your always referring to waxing the threads to get that special grip..... What kind of wax is it, and where do you recommend that I pick some of it up? The whole problem I am in the US I am not in the UK so I don't know exactly where to go exactly... I Thank you Sir for response in advance.....

      Hi Sasquatch7foot,
      I have attached a link to the wax that I use and as well a video I made on how to prepare it for using the way I like...It comes from a wholesale company called Veniards so if you look at their stockists you may find a shop that sells it..Merry Christmas and Happy New Year when it comes...
      All the very best Davie..

    Would you use a gold body for discoloured water?

    • @DavieMcPhail
      @DavieMcPhail  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kerry,
      Yes I would as gold bodied flies work really well in dark peaty and coloured water, silver and copper are also very good as too..
      All the very best Davie
