Only the swing panels aren't insulated. In practice it's better for heavy rain to have a second layer of tent canvas just slightly above to get 2 layers (less condansation in the caravan due to cold rainwater).
Sorry for my late reaction, the slide out is actually a swing out. Two sheets of 15 mm poplar plywood are connected with hinges (bolted with weft nuts) on both sides of the swing out wall (so 2 pairs of doors). The edge of opening and swing out wallpart have aluminium profile and you can slide in the tent canvas on both sides. The wall is the same sandwich construction as the rest of the walls.

ik wil zelf een teardrop bouwen van een onderstel van een alpen kreuzer. tot 550kg onderstel. weet jij of dat mag en dat je dan de weg op mag? of zit er een keuring aan vast? vr gr picking the day today
