I'm waiting for a remaster/remake of the game on switch just to listen to an updated version of all these themes (cause they did have to work with a pretty limited hardware at the time)
Rescue Team is a great game too, right behind EoS and over SMD. Probably it is the stepping stone for the next wave of Pokemon remakes besides from the main ones like Diamond/Pearl
On a surface level, this song is a fairly standard preamble to the final boss. But after experiencing the story, it's so much more than that, at least to me. It represents the tense emotions running through both you and your partner. One of them pushing through with simultaneous grief and determination, hoping at the end of the day they'll be able to save one of his newly gained friends that he's struggled to make in his life. The other, despite knowing it's a quite literal suicide mission, pushes on even further with a renewed sense of purpose, now knowing the very reason they are in this world. A constant feeling of dread looms over the both of them, the reasons being extremely similar but with different reasons.
What I love the most about this song is it just screams "courage" and "determination". Like right before going into the tower its revealed that the player character isn't going to survive this mission and this song just says to me "I'm gonna press on anyway no matter what happens". Its fits the mood so well.
It's absolutely incredible how they were able to just keep on escalating the stakes and atmosphere for this long to culminate in Temporal Tower. This game is a masterpiece, man.
I like thinking of it as being the best, never forgotten, but we never will have as great of a pokemon story as this one, makes it so much more worth it going back

I've known this song for years, how come I'd never noticed the bongo drums in the background before? Also the maracas, the drum set, and that carraca thing... The percussion of this song is DIVINE.
When this song hits, it gets me teary-eyed. I made up my own lyrics to it sorta, and I used to chant it as I played (0:27): "Climbing Temporal Tower, fighting Dialga's power, this is our final hour, climbing Temporal Tower." ... Best game in the franchise with Legends Arceus in second place, but I can almost sense that remakes are on the horizon. I will pre-order it the nanosecond it becomes available when it does.
I love the fact that after fighting against a powerful enemy, watching your old friend Grovyle sacrificing himself and not only knowing you had to defeat a unstable legendary pokemon, but knowing you must say goodbye to your best friend before you die. This song reinforces the feeling of being a hero until the end, just like Grovyle did.
People here say they hated the dungeon... I didn't ever die. I barely had Oran berries, me and my partner were just level 37, and the difficulty spike was TOUGH. But I felt challenged in a way, i felt tension in such a way. This theme and Temporal Spire really captured that for me. This was the last stretch, and the game made me feel that. Deeply.

That's when spurn orbs come in handy. Usually monster houses are where you spawn or by the stairs, you can just use the spurn orb and exit with the stairs
The feelings this soundtrack instill are always twofold. In this one it's about the fact that it's the last dungeon, but it also sounds sad, tense, tenebrous, hopeful, uncertain. All because if you fail, the world collapses into darkness and a timestop. If you succeed, your player character disappears because he came from said dark future and will leave all the friends you made along the way, especially your partner, who owes all the character development that he got throughout the game to you. All represented with that flute instrument that is prevalent throughout the whole OST as the representation of your two characters. It almost feels like the lower notes in the flute is one character and the higher notes is the other one.

Since this is the last dungeon I'm just gonna write my overall thought on the game here. I grew up with Pokémon Mystery Dungeon - Blue Rescue team, So I'm obviously never gonna Change my perspective on which game is better, soely for nostalgia reasons. When looking at them side by side, trying to be unbiased, I'd say Exploror's is A little better, mostly becuse of the gameplay enhancements, And also Bidoof! Yup yup! This game has a trick up it's sleve that makes it better, The fact that it's a sequel and therefore, has most of the problems with Rescue team Resolved. The Story and the music was already top-notchbut there were some big underlying problems, One big one was the whole team members thing, where you every single day had to tell your partner pokémons to join you, this was afaik fixed in explorors. The other underlying issue; inventory, Which had being overhauled like crazy. Oh yeah and also grass type being horrible but that was fixed too afaik. I do feel like Exporors uses the many dungeons in a row mechanic aa bit too much. Out of the, what I counted on bulbpedia, 24 main story dungeons 12 of them either has a dungeon right before it, or right after it, not allowing you to deposit your bank. overall a 4.9 stars out of 4.9 possible stars (aka. a 10/10 game, absoloutly GOATed seires)
... Did I imagine getting earth power'd to death? I was a Cyndaquil and my partner a Pikachu so discharge wasn't THAT much of an issue, but that's what everyone talks about
This stage is a nightmare as a Mudkip. Reasons: 1) Solrock, Lunatone, and Bronzor have Levitate 2) Porygon can use Magnet Rise to also levitate 3) PORYGON USED DISCHARGE! 4) Bronzor used Embargo! 5) IT’S A MONSTER HOUSE! Also, it is worth mentioning that this dungeon has 24 floors (except the Future version which only has 21). Fitting considering it is the same number as how many hours there is in a single day.

Lets go to temporal tower the last mystery dungeon.... R: let's go!
Thank heavens for Escape Orbs that take you back to the Kangaskhan Statue is all I'm saying.
I do admit I prefer the theme for Sky Tower, but this song is still great! It perfectly captures the feel that the adventure is almost over
I actually preferred Temporal Tower due to the more heroic theme as you ascend to restore time.
Out of the, what I counted on bulbpedia, 24 main story dungeons 12 of them either has a dungeon right before it, or right after it, not allowing you to deposit your bank.
overall a 4.9 stars out of 4.9 possible stars
(aka. a 10/10 game, absoloutly GOATed seires)
... Did I imagine getting earth power'd to death? I was a Cyndaquil and my partner a Pikachu so discharge wasn't THAT much of an issue, but that's what everyone talks about
Oh yeah, Tower of Biased theme
god bgm
This stage is a nightmare as a Mudkip.
Reasons:
1) Solrock, Lunatone, and Bronzor have Levitate
2) Porygon can use Magnet Rise to also levitate
3) PORYGON USED DISCHARGE!
4) Bronzor used Embargo!
5) IT’S A MONSTER HOUSE!
Also, it is worth mentioning that this dungeon has 24 floors (except the Future version which only has 21). Fitting considering it is the same number as how many hours there is in a single day.
Those bastards with heatproof...
People who had problem with this dungeon must rage a lot in Super.
