Range Report: CMMG Resolute (A modern AR-15 / AK-47 hybrid)

- In this Range Report I take a look at and review the CMMG Resolute. This is a rifle which is a combination of the AR-15 and AK-47 tries to blend the best of both worlds into one platform. It looks more like an AR-15, but ballistically this is much more like an AK-47. Chambered in 7.62x39 and using AK magazines, this is an innovative firearm that seem well build and thought out. This video documents my personal thought, opinions and experiences with this firearm. Yours may vary.

Good morning, Jason, I am not that picky when it comes to guns. I will take two, with 10 mags a piece. Plus, a pallet of ammo. The rabbits are getting bad at the moment. Cheers

10:45 You are absolutely correct, I changed out the Ripstock for a traditional CTR stock. I like the feature in concept, but for my use and comfort, the CTR (or more traditional bowed-inward) stock is the way to go. I feel the BHO is a common gripe across the board and would also much prefer a side-charge....maybe in the future?! Great video, will you be doing a long-term review?

P mags are a little tight in all my AK's.
I think that is a trend with them now.

I bought this rifle about 4 months ago, the bolt will lock open because I locked mine open when I cleaned it but I do have a question, is steel case ammo bad for this gun. Thx
I should be fine. Just make sure to clean the chamber every so often.
I have been an AK guy my whole life, but I’m seriously thinking about picking one up. I was going to get. The descent, but I don’t know if I wanna spend that kind of money so I’m really looking into the resolute Mark 47.
