- This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. As the star of the most popular TEDTalk of all time, we were hugely honoured to host Liverpudlian Sir Ken Robinson at TEDxLiverpool. In this wide ranging interview, TEDxLiverpool curator Herb Kim talks with Sir Ken about his life, his TED experience, Liverpool, Los Angeles and the future.
Sir Ken Robinson originally from Liverpool now lives in Los Angeles with his family.
Sir Ken is a TED icon having given three presentations on the role of creativity in education (His 2006 talk has attracted over 27 million views and seen by an estimated 250 million people worldwide) and changed the lives of many.
In 2011 he was listed as “one of the world’s elite thinkers on creativity and innovation” by Fast Company magazine, and was ranked among the Thinkers50 list of the world’s top business thought leaders.
Sir Ken comes from an arts in education background influencing the formulation of the National Curriculum in England. For twelve years, he was professor of education at the University of Warwick, and is now professor emeritus. He has received honorary degrees and honours for his services to the arts and education from many institutions around the world.
Sir Ken is a best selling author and co-author of a wide range of books, reports and articles on creativity, the arts, education and cultural development.
In 2003, he received a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II for his services to the arts.

Sir Ken Robinson, is an absolute star, so refreshing, a great teacher, I came across him through TH-cam, if I'm feeling a bit down, he picks me up. It's a win win. He teaches me through interest & laughs & I write this for the next person to view. Thanks

I've only come across Sir Ken Robinson today after a post shared online about his passing. I've binged as many of his talks as I can, what a brilliant man. Rest in Peace Ken.

Hear hear! Isn't this the problem we have with religion too? Where is the principle of:
"the last will be first, and the first last.” [Matt 20v16]
or
"“If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.” [Mark 9v35]
or
"...he who is least among you all is the one who is great" [Luke 9v48]
or
"...some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last.” [Luke 13v30]
or
"...I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them." [1 Cor 9v19]?
Why are certain religious groups at present seeking to establish a theocracy? Why are they willing to incite violence, to destroy the stability of society in order to assume control?

If I could ask Sir Ken a question then it would be if he thinks people are totally lost and hopeless cases if they´re not good at math.
Oh man... this interviewer was sooo nervous which made him kinda bad because it hurt to listen to him stuttering all the time... Yes I agree Ken Robinson is a great and famous person, but I dont get why people turn crazy when they see celebreties... They are also human aren't they?

People are weak so every person who seems like known and feel to them like they are above, they exaggerate their status when at the end of the day as you said we are all human and there is no difference!
