With Sweden’s membership, NATO is set to gain an advantage over Russia as it will get access to Stockholm’s superior and high-tech military. Sweden has a laudable military industrial base that has produced weapons systems that are popular on the export market. For NATO, Sweden is a huge boost as the Nordic country can build impressive submarines that can take on any navy. The future deployment of Sweden's more advanced Blekinge submarine in the Baltic Sea is expected to complicate Russian anti-submarine warfare.

As a German, I am ashamed of my government and of about 38% of Germans who reject arms deliveries to the Ukraine or only deliver shamefully small quantities as an alibi, so to speak. Spain wanted to give 50 Leopard 2 to the Ukraine. Chancellor Scholz did not allow it. Many Ukrainians are dying in this war for democracy and freedom, also for the Germans.

The German subs are made of a kind of stainless steal so can't be detected by magnetometers perfect for shallow waters. Norway has purchased 4 and Germany 1 of the Type 214CD.

Sweden is not a superpower of any sort but their submarines are small enough to operate in the Baltic sea. This is a pretty unique capability at this time.
Russians, I want hyper-cavitating torpedoes and underwater nuclear powered submersible automous drones and decoys that can stay underwater for long time without refueling in stealth finding other submarines and following them and tracking them indefinitely. You are wrong sir, S:t Petersburg is Russia's most important port by far! The Black Sea is nothing compared to the Baltic. And if the war escalates with Nato, Russian fleets won't be able to leave. That leaves them Murmansk which has a single road/rail south along the Finnish border and pacific Vladivostok. Nato has Russia by the ballz!

Russias similar sized submarines are equally as lethal, and unlike Swedens boats, they are equipped with both hypersonic missiles and nuclear warheads.

The Russian's haven't mastered stealth, western nations now have ultra stealthy duel purpose anti shipping and land attack cruise missiles to replace missiles such as HARPOON which itself was already stealthy. These are cost effective and economical. In a few years western hypersonic missiles will be entering service and they will again be more advanced and cost effective. Russia can not stop western attacks from getting through. Launching missiles from submarines is also idiotic and only works against the smaller nations that don't have a navy that Russia prefers to attack. Any Russian submarine that dares to do this against a NATO Allie will immediately be noticed, tracked and destroyed.

Totally irrelevant, Russia is not a maritime trading nation nor is it a surface vessel naval power. Sweden's submarines operating in the Baltic are not as much a threat to Russia as Russia's submarine fleet is to Sweden and the rest of the Baltic states that depend on surface vessel trade with the outside world.
