Finally a video for race ramps where the process of raising the car on all 4 corners is shown . I like the idea of using 2 floor jacks to lift the car evenly . Thanks
I just found your channel. Just bought a '08 E63 and I am learning to work on it by watching. Thank you for this vid as I am thinking of buying a quickjack. This is a lot cheaper. I have already learned some stuff from you. Cant wait to see more.
@@drewlasseter1328 You welcome!Congratulation on your ‘08 Mercedes Benz E63 AMG! 🔥🏁 Yep learning how to work on this special car, will save you A whole Lotta money 💰. I know you enjoying your E63 AMG..😃 One of the best cars out there you can buy!
Nicely done video. So do you think that 7" cribs is enough room to work under the car. I need to change the transmission mount. I was going to buy the 12" splits for 6" each wheel but have been wondering if that would be enough room and maybe I should go for the ones you purchased. Also did you feel safe and do they perform as advertised. Thanks
Thanks for your comment! Yes get the 7" and you will have enough room to change your transmission mount..If you need more room..You always can put the 2 cribs together..To make 14" and have the 2 cribs on both front tires and if you have 2 jacks..You can jack it up on both sides on the back! That's what I did when I changed my transmission fluid and filter..Yes I felt safe using the cribs! Even though they are very light..They hold up perfect! 👍🏾 I used them A few times and still all good! I always keep at least 2 jack stands on both sides where I'm working at..To be extra safe!
Hey my friend i am planning on doing some oil changes on a similar vehicle however i am planning on getting the 12 inches one set ,Do you think 6 inches of the ground could work for my application? Thanks!
when I call raceramp and ask if its okay to use other half crib for other tire they told me its not safe to use that way. I guess you just took the risk?
@@feruzyoldash137 It depends how heavy the vehicle is! Each ramp have A certain capacity of weight that it can handle! But for safety..You always want to have A couple of jacks or jack stands underneath the vehicle on both sides, for safety like you would even if you didn't use the ramps, just in case of A fail‼️👍🏾

Yes! The 6 inches is fine👍🏾
What size are the ramps?
@@p_xl982 7” high for each single ramp.If you put 2 together it’s 14” high.
@ the 6” is enough to do things like rear differential fluid, trans, etc. or should I go for the 7”?
@ The 6” is good enough..But I would go for 7” for sure!👍🏾
Nicely done
