- The Norse Dwarf Karak of Kraka Drak is under siege by the Warriors of Khorne, led by Egil Styrbjorn, Kholek Suneater, and Ka'Bandha, the infamous Bloodthirster and Greater Daemon of Khorne. Can the Dwarfs of the Far North push back the invaders, or will it become another city paved with bones on the long march to ruination?

As per usual, the Dwarfs are stuck in a last stand. At this point I can't even imagine them in any other battle scenario anymore.

Well, kraka drak falls again, but once again they stop an invasion of the south. Because you aren’t invading shit with what’s left of that army.
The best part is explaining to your boss how you lost all of your prized champions,daemons.
With those numbers left over I doubt they can even that the rest of Krak drak. I mean their best warriors are gone and the few survivors have flead back inside but honestly a couple civilians tossing rocks could kill Koleck right now. 👍

I really want Cataph's norse Dwarfs to be made into an official free DLC for WH3.
IMO, the battle was lost because of the most crazy bug in WH series. Take a look at 24:30 - Norsca leader is broken and routing from the battle, but where he routes? To the core of Dwarven stronghold, to the heart of Dwarven defense, Carl! Then his leadership has increased and all of a sudden, a champion of Norsca is in the back of Dwarven defense and able to attack ranged and artillery units! This would never happen, if he had been routing to where he logically has to - back to the gates. I would call it the most weird behavior of Warhammer game engine.
i would like to see a 4 player FFA witht he "Fear the >faction name> Tide!" mods, which change the numbe rof Models per Unit Incredibly but alsoa djust the HP per Model accordingly.
The mods cover Greenskins, Skaven, Undead, Beastmen, Chaos and Norsca. instead of 120 Slaverats per squad you suddenly have 400. you can imagine how a Greatsword unit feels plowing through that.
Also all the mods have SFO compatible versions.
Would be a blast tos ee that.

Awesome battle, keep them coming! The rangers with great weapons charging headlong into fimir at 27:37 was, I think, the final straw that broke the dwarves, since they were the last ranged unit with any ammo at that point.

Special siege maps for big capitals in warhammer 3 would be more than welcome. And I don't mean identical siege maps but different for every region. A man can only hope.

I love seeing the individual stories of the characters and special units throughout the battle
Actually... the working gates (the one in the north and the one in the east) cause a freezing effect to any units under or inside a short range in front of the gate. The same one the ice trolls cause. The effect is real. A bit weak (may have to rebalance it a bit) but real. Good battle. Seeing your maps being played and enjoyed by others is the best of making maps.

@@milkandcookiesTW You absolutely should! I would love to see some sort of conflict bringing Estallia, Tilea, and the Boarder Princes together.
Seeing this just shows us how much potential WH sieges have. If anything I think they could easily be the best out of any total war title only if CA overhauls to a good extent as well as mods
Sieges got implemented at the most basic level, just like diplomacy. WH3 got a lot of work to be done.
Khelgar Ironfist I can agree it needs a lot of work although it’s very possible, diplomacy is very unlikely to get that much attention since it was never the focal point of WH
There are two things I wish were in Warhammer Total War, the ability to attach commanders and heroes to units, and bigger and better siege battles. This video scratched at least one itch thankfully
I really wish I could try all these awesome mods. But unfortunately all the extra detail demands a rig worthy of Sigmars' blessing. So I'm stuck with vanilla like some lowly Brettonian peasant.

I feel you man got a new pc about a year ago, and realized my video card is some shit. Game runs but the quality is so bad I stopped playing until I can get a better one.
@@spacewolfblackmane19 cheapest way to improve performance is 16 gigs. I played at 8 gigs for the first game and half of the second one. Switching to 16 gigs removed 70% lag rest of the lag is FPS and turn times.

@@HiHi-iv3sw i dont think he would have had nearly enough dps or survivability to overcome the Skin Wolves and trolls. and even though Kholek only had 150 hp left, if he joins in the party on top of the other monsters, foot lords are gona die in seconds surrounded by all that ap and theyre never gona get a hit off

I feel like not using the regen cap submod really hurted the dwarfs. Egil was just constantly healing.
Yep that submod should be default with SFO. Trolls could be exempted from that though.

I hope CA overhauls their maps big time. Some of their siege maps are great, most are very average or less than. Their rolling fields and excess of bland maps needs some love too. If we are getting factions like the Daemons, Ogre tribes and all the other crazies I hope to the good god Sigmar that they sort out the maps. If they don't rest assured the modding community has our backs
The gate could have been distributing frostbite effect tho right?
not sure if its possible to add Frostbite in that manner, but yeah in theory that would be super cool
@@milkandcookiesTW The gate actually does deal damage over time if I remember correctly. Definitely remember having a unit suddenly halved trying to get through without a battering ram.
Khorne doombull was need to be here as well with taurox the brass bull and where is archaon in this big invasion
If siege battles don't get overhauled for TW:WH3, I'll just be waiting for sale even though the series is my favorite pc game by a mile.
If you run SFO with tides of chaos mod, WoC becomes very playable and extremely fun
honest question, why didn't the Kraka Drak dwarfs ever migrate. They could've easily nestled within an Imperial mountain range.

I really hope that One day CA will add some proper Khorne units, or even some regiments of renown for chaos/Beastmen/norsca based on Khorne... Because Actually in game We already have sigvald and the mirror guards that are related to Slaanesh, and the everwatcher, related to Tzeentch, so I don't see why We couldn t have something for Khorne.... Where the empire, vampire counts and other Tww1 factions got some New toys, chaos got none since the 30 years event.
