Caravan - University of Sheffield at UniBrass 2016

The University of Sheffield Brass Band perform Caravan, composed by Duke Ellington and Juan Tizol, and arranged by Steve Sykes.

The University of Sheffield Brass Band was formed in 2013 by Gregory Waters. Since then, they have competed actively, taking part in UniBrass in 2014 and 2015 as well as the Saddleworth Whit Friday Marches in both of those years.
They became an official society in May of last year, a big step in becoming a more sophisticated and active ensemble.
In October 2015 they managed to secure the musicianship of both Duncan Beckley and Jack Smith as their musical directors. Jack worked tirelessly with the band to put on a fantastic concert at the end of 2015. Both Duncan and Jack have led and worked with the band to bring them to UniBrass.
Sheffield came 10th at UniBrass 2016.
