I recently did the same thing with all my art supplies. I particularly don't like soft pastels because of the dust they create and the difficulties I have in containing said dust. Despite having some really nice sets, I was absolutely reluctant to use them because of that. So out they went. We were having a neighborhood garage sale (I don't know what you call them in your part of the world, where you put everything you hope to sell out in your drive or front yard - we certainly don't sell our garages...haha). They all got sold. I held back the one small package I have that are water soluble (Charvins) and am much happier using them that way. I also got rid of a bunch of really cute watercolor palettes that I never used and only got them for the adorable factor - I have become picky on what type of paint I use. Plus, I really prefer metal tins with lots of mixing space or an airtight plastic one. What made it worthwhile was a woman who came up to my supply table, and told me she had to get rid of all her art materials years ago due to a sudden move and her life was so chaotic that she never got back to her art. Her life was different now and she was yearning to paint again. She handed $35 and asked what she could get for the money. Well, one palette alone was $35, but I told her that knowing my supplies would go to someone who would really appreciate them, I literally gave her about half of what I had for sale. She was in tear, and I cried with her.
I’m in New Zealand and Jo Sonja is the brand of acrylics that my daughter and I use the most. My oldest tube would be over 20 years old now and the paint works just fine.
I've never heard eco-line called what you called it before. Good to know that the jo sonya paint is still good after 30 yrs as i couldnt throw mine away and they are about the same age lol
Hahnemuhle is available here in the US but is more expensive for us, I believe. But i think i could get the nostalgie sketchbook for around 20-25$. I've been wanting to try it, but i usually prefer just the smallest amount of texture. What would you compare it to?
What a nice surprise! I thought you were going to take a holiday from TH-cam , what with all the holidays and stuff.. I will need to google what a jelly plate is... It's not the first time I heard of them, but after this video my curiosity is peeked😂 Thank you for another absolutely lovely video, enjoyed watching it a lot! Hope you had a lovely Christmas and wish you all the joy in the upcoming New year!

I really enjoy your channel.
Good morning, Debbie. I hope you had a lovely Christmas. Thanks for the video.
Thank you Debbie, this was a super fun video!
Debbie have you combined your soft pastels and pan pastels with the gelli plates yet?

I also like the Liquitex markers for the same reason 😅
The plate you started is so lovely
I have the Kume pencil sharpener branded by Blick and also love it. I misplaced it last week and panicked!!
The lid on my kum sharpener isn't attached. The end away from the holes has a grove that fits snugly to the sharpener.
