Think the footage looks amazing! Is it ok to ask 1. Which lens was this shot on? 2. Do you have any tips for exposure in s-log and cine4, TH-camrs often say to over-expose like 0.7 or 2 or something, but I have no idea 🤣 so any numbers you have luck with would be a huge help! Thank you!
thanks for the comment, oh man this footage is really old now so I have changed a lot of what I do. How ever, this was shot with the sigma 16mm 1.4 if I'm not mistaken I would still say over expose slog 2 byt +2 stops in my opinion how ever most of the time I'm still shooting cine 4 and exposing to 0 just because my clients need quick turn around times so I need to make sure I can pump out content but if it were a personal project I would shoot in slog 2 still
Not sure why the dislikes on this video. I hope YT gets rid of the thumbs down. Any way, agree with Cine 4. Shoot with A7S and Cine 4 is the only way to go. As far as DR range goes, you are only 1-2 stops below S-Log, but your ISO is only 200 as opposed to an insane 3,200. I've gotten some really great footage with Cine 4, but you have to be careful not to overexpose it.
Flying High well I’ve learned no matter what you do some one will always judge how ever I am only here to share my experience and nothing else I appreciate your support flying high and your input
im updating my choice here, ive recently worked more with SLOG and i have to say ive changed my proccesing tools a little but and i must say Slog is my choice with my clients where we can plan shoots but cine 4 will be my default for run and gun and person projects
Cine 4 settings - were the cody blue settings they can be found widely on youtube how ever if youd like ill make a video about this slog 2 settings were the standard s log settings
If you are good at treating Slog2 in post I think you get good results. Cinematographic cameras work mostly in Logs and it seems to me that the films have good colors. For example "Ex Machina". It was filmed with Sony F55 and F65 in Slog2.
Michele Ren I would agree I’ve since this video have used more slog2 and would agree its overall better how ever maybe I’ll make a new comparison video soon
No sir, these videos were made prior to using an ND filter. Even though most of the time now you will catch me using them there are certain scenerios where i still dont for example When i film anything i know will be slo motion ahead of time... if im shooting 120 fps my shutter speed needs to be 240 minimum anyway so i take it off as there is no point in my opinion
@@diversedad7954 Im a big fan of CINE 4 as i create more videos this becomes more and more evident to me. I prob will never swithc off of cine 4. I will be uploading more videos soon so hopefully you stick around to watch :D
