That ad literally ruined Gillette’s brand . It’s awesome . Good job advertisers way to lose billions with one ad. That should always be shown to marketing students on what to never do.

They put the razors and stuff behind glass because people steal them and return them for store credit aince its so small so its essy to steal but still expensive
It's not just a bad ad when they try to display men like that, it's a serious problem in these times and we need to shut this sort of shit down before it goes any further... You guys are awesome and i know it's difficult to truly express what your beliefs are when you're on a platform like this and your person is exposed in this sorta light - but get yo heads out yo asses hahah ;)
1337CaptainHadock we also need to shut down stuff like groping in clubs lol. I agree it’s a bad ad and 100% unrelated but I disagree it makes all men out to be like it and feel that if it toned the SJW shit down a tad it could be a genuinely good thing to show kids in secondary education where serious bullying and sexual harassment start to become a more serious problem.
I work for P&G I get free Gillette razors lol I personally think the ad was alittle overboard but had some points. Probably didnt need to be voiced but who am I to say.
Even aside from how generalizing they were and even if we accept every point made, why tf do we want it said from a razor company? Same reason the pepsi ad was so out of touch. Although Pepsi also put themselves on a pedestal at the same time
@@saviancampbell8769 i wanna put my opinion out there but #1 I don't want to publicly slander my company #2 I've seen some question (non political) ads that they've done. This isn't too surprising
To the statement about rape culture not existing in America. I have to fight Woody on this one, there's a lot of victim blaming still happening today when a women or man is raped. Blaming them for what they were wearing, if they were drinking or if they fought hard enough to get the person off them. The fact that people even joke about "rape is just when she changes her mind the next morning" is indicative of a rape accepting culture. That's not saying it's spread to everyone. I mean there was even that Brock Turner case where man was caught red handed raping an unconscious woman and got probation. His dad was quoted saying "it was just 20 minutes of action" in the courthouse. Is Rape culture a case where all the rapists are getting high-5's for every rape they commit and they are the hero of the narrative? No, but there's still a hell of a lot of people making excuses for them.
That’s peoples perception. Americans always point blame. But, there IS rape culture in other countries. Saying “she wanted it, etc” in other countries is different because it’s a valid reason over there. Pull that here, you’ll wind up in jail most likely....not in all other countries.
And did you see the country celebrating in response to the turner case outcome? He was and still is considered a piece of shit by pretty much everyone and the fact that he got off with probation was also lambasted by just about everyone. It was a miss carriage of justice sure but just because some judge was corrupt it doesn't mean there's a rape culture.

Straight razors actually work fantastic. Much better, but, it takes more skill, there’s more risk of cutting.
