Having watched Edgerunners beforehand and knowing Reed was a liar and murdered the french thieves, the ending choice surprised me a lot. It's like if V was David and gave Lucy to Smasher.
Trying to please both Reed and Song is actually making both and in the end V feel it was all for nothing. Typical CDPR kind of choice... as it was in Harts of Stone W3 expansion
@@istvangaluska Yes, but the real issue is that giving her to Reed and Myers who made her jump into the Blackwall to begin with, is not going to prevent her being dangerous. They will try to use her to continue Myers' political agendas in some way. The fact that Myers dared to break international law and danger all of humanity for her political ambitions is plenty of proof that she will not stop. Sending her to the moon would basically be an optimistic choice for dealing with the AI in the future. Killing her would be the safest choice.
I think it would be cool to see her play the other ending where you betray songbird because it has a totally different vibe and obviously how the story ends.
I do enjoy longer videos, 30-40min episodes are almost perfect. Also this is another hilarious video. I only feel bad for her cause she seems to love romancing the characters that you cant in game. 😂
Your commentary about Johnny wearing V's face makes me think of how I got this ending on my third play-through (only I'd screwed up and V just died instead of going beyond the Black Wall ): ). If you choose the right dialogue with the kid, you can reveal to him that you're Johnny Silverhands. He doesn't believe you of course. He points out that you're A: Too Young, and B: "A Girl". Johnny retorts that you can't tell a person's age from their body anymore and that he "wont be a girl much longer". I found that comment especially tragic because Johnny would be altering V's body, the only thing left of her. And I wondered if he'd feel conflicted at all about doing that. But I guess whatever guilt he might feel over that would be less painful than seeing V's face every time he looks in a mirror.
Highly likely Songbird dies in the end she chose or possibly enslaved and used as a weapon. Pretty much guarantees you cutting off any potential happy ending for her giving her up to the NUSA. I think it's interesting because while you don't see the aftermath here in this ending, Reed does end up severely regretting everything and becoming miserable just like V said he would in the ending where you do see it all. Would have liked to see her reaction to the different endings.
But you never actually see what happens to her on the Moon either. I mean, her "plan" was to trust Mr. Blue Eyes, who might enslave her just like Myers did. I think Reed at the first branch, with not handing over Song to the NUSA is my favorite ending.
@@istvangaluska If Mr. Blue Eyes wanted that he could have done it without any interference. I highly doubt Songbird could fight off a hack from Blue Eyes. Keep in mind Blue Eyes isn't new to manipulation(Im assuming you did the side quest involving him) Songbird does leave you something letting you know she made it after some time passes though.
For context - She kinda lost all sympathy for Songbird the moment she revealed that she had lied from the start & used V from the very beginning, and as Linnea cares alot about her V - She felt pretty vindictive about it lol. That & Reed is husbando.
@@GirlfriendPlaythroughs Would love to see her react to all the different endings as a bonus if you guys are up for it! Personally, I think Songbird is a reflection of V so betraying her is like V giving up who they are just to survive, and the DLC ending you get for betraying Songbird fits that very well imo. I'm really interested on hearing her thoughts after seeing Reed regretting his decision of giving Songbird to the NUSA. With both Reed being miserable and even Johnny calling V Judas for the betrayal then V eventually losing everything, I think that really just goes to show how much against the grain that decision is for V.
true, same with me, i also get this ending the first time, not because of her reasoning tho, i am just vengeful (i kill the netwatch agent because he tried to kill me, and kill Maman Brigitte, because she lied to me), and since songbird betray me, i'll betray songbird. and i didn't even choose to call reed in the end, and call the aldecaldos for the last part instead lol
@@lilia-ai If you wanted vengeance against Songbird you'd have betrayed her at the matrix choice, not at the end. Taking her all the way to the rocket and then giving her to Reed is not really getting vengeance. Sending her to the moon aside, of the 3 other choices, this one is the least vengeful. Actually killing her, or giving her over to Myers makes more sense in that regard. Either you get to off her yourself, or know she's put right back into suffering working under Myers.

Geat series, love the videos and this one was really fun! I had already finished the main game when I reached the end of the DLC. I heard they added a new ending to the game so I wanted to check it out for myself and went the same route as your girlfriend. I played through it and hated it so much (still probably the best ending in the game it is sooo great and bittersweet and well written and devastating 😭) that I reloaded my save from the airport terminal and sent So Mi to the Moon 😅. I actually think this is the most poetic/romantic/beautiful ending to the DLC and shed a couple of tears at the end as the rocket launched itself towards the heavens. Moraly highly questionnable and probably not so great for the future of litteraly EVERYBODY... but beautiful nonetheless! 🙃 P.S. I see your girlfriend is a woman of culture as well! - Who do like more, Reed or Songbird? - It's like Tifa and Aerith, I don't know. I like them both. Love that answer! And wiser than most fans as well 😅. Would have loved to see her first playthrough of that game but I'm glad to hear she's already familiar with the title! Have a great one! 🍻✌
What an ice-cold decision to betray Songbird 10 ft from the finish line, not even stopping to read the other choices and think about it. Didn't pick up on the deeper implications of the story, how Reed is not a friend to V, and it'd be more merciful to put a bullet to So-mi's head than hand her over to the FIA to become a toll for Myers. It's obvious that Myers has no intention to "help" So-mi, and will continue putting the world at risk by using the Blackwall's power.
So-mi the lying backstabbing bitch isn't a friend to V. Reed tells you exactly who he is from the jump, loyal to the FIA & NUSA at large. He never once lied to V about what he wants (to save so mi).
From Reed's perspective though, he created Songbird, and he's responsible for the walking WMD that she is. In his eyes leaving her up to unknown players is the worst case scenario. Yes even worse than the FIA having her.
Hard agree. I have no clue how anyone even remotely paying attention to the story and general themes of cyberpunk could side w reed, especially after getting this far w songbird.
You seem to see Songbird as some innocent flower... but she's not. She openly states that in the chaos of their escape dozens if not hundreds of people would die, and she doesn't care as long as she escapes. She orchestrated the initial betrayal of Myers so that she has a chance to live, and that caused deaths of ten people on her plane and numerous others in the crash. And she betrayed V by omitting that there's only one dose and she got it all to herself. But all that pales in comparison to bringing a Blackwall AI in our world, making the demise of the whole human race even closer by teaching it human vulnerabilities (it is apparent if you get the Canto deck), and murdering everyone in her wake with it. Songbird makes a pretty facade of caring, but she only cares about herself, and all these crocodile tears about 'mistakes' and 'nothing went according to plan' are as insincere as they can get. She only has one goal, and her only tragedy is that she's not strong enough to achieve it; she's ready to burn Myers, Reed, Alex and V without second thought. So Mi is the villain of the story. Myers is not a saint, but she doesn't even play being nice, and properly rewards V for following her cause (to the extent she can). Reed is open about his shortcomings, and he has at least some loyalty. Songbird is simply a psychopath who plays others, and all the touching regret is simply because she (the most important creature in the universe, in her eyes) is dying.
Cool series:) would be interesting to watch all endings reaction after the initial playthrough. That is LITERALLY the worst phantom liberty ending of all. Going with songbird to betray her at the near end
love the series and the editing but careful when using other people's stuff like Emirichu's drawing at 5:08. I wouldnt want something to be striked bcz of some bs. Keep up the uploads. I look forward to them!
Oof! The ending. It's actually objectively the worst. Myers have been using her as a weapon. And Songbird refuses to go back to her. Reed is just a mindless pawn. It's either Night corp or NUSA controlling Songbird. And Songbird hates going back to NUSA. Also, Myers is affiliated with Militech.
If she's up for it I really think you should have her play Reed's ending. It's just got so much more content, the cynosure gameplay is phenomenal and the choice at the end is even more difficult than this ending's choice I find
@@kingofheavymetal And why my V should even care? She dont like when others put her in grave risk and use from behind the scenes - that for sure . And nope. To be honest, none of the endings of this mission are 100 percent great. They all have a mix of good and bad aspects. In the end, I think you picked the best one cause no one dies in that version. So Mi may not like her fate..but after screwing you over..why would you care?
man, I did all the endings of this game, but going to the launch pad with Songbird, then changing your mind and giving her to Reed might probably be the only thing I regretted doing in this entire game. It doesn't feel deserved. It's not a satisfying conclusion. And if you end up calling Reed to get a chance to live, you get the one ending where V becomes a nobody and looses all their friends. You used balckwall AIs, villified yourself by killing dozens of people to get to that launch pad, the least you could do is to go through with it. If you give her up, she's going to become Myers' personal blackwall proxy access. She's never going to have a life anymore. And you become a nobody with no one to help you. At least when you send her to the moon, one of you can survive and have a life. And the other can keep their conscience straight knowing they did the right thing. Same goes for the Reed path. If you don't give Song her wish at the end, let her become Myers' lab rat, you just give in to state corruption : you help people that would have never helped you if the situation was just a little bit different. Og the two paths, the two best endings are clearly giving what Song wants in the end : death when you go with Reed's path, Lunar escape when you follow her. And the other ones hit like a truck, not in a good way : they just put you in front of your contradictions.
For me personally, I really don’t like Songbird. She never stops manipulating you. Only reason she tells her sob story to V is so she can play victim(and play off of most people’s good nature) as she tries to skate off with the neural matrix. Although I guess it would be worth it if it kept her from unleashing hell from the Blackwall, but I’m unsure what it would change if anything.
Girlfrienda, if you think anyone in this has a happy ending you haven't been paying attention. Ya think David would have given Lucy to Smasher like you gave So-Mi to Reed? David and Becca had to die for it to happen but at least Lucy made it out. Not angry with you choom, just sad for So-Mi..

love the series and the editing but careful when using other people's stuff like Emirichu's drawing at 5:08. I wouldnt want something to be striked bcz of some bs. Keep up the uploads. I look forward to them!
Thank you for the heads up! I didn't think that one through, so i just blurred it.
Appreciate the love!
10:28 oh hey mario.
I was hoping she would get the scary ending. Oh well... would have been fun to see.
wow she is a traitor
Very interesting choice. Good to see.
Enjoy the longer content , and this channel is great!
Oof!
It's just got so much more content, the cynosure gameplay is phenomenal and the choice at the end is even more difficult than this ending's choice I find
didnt think she choose judas, what a surprise.
have you considered her reacting to the alternate endings? could be fun
Yay, I was hoping for longer videos ❤
Have you shown her the CG trailer of Reed on the train? The teaser leading up to PL.
these videos are really entertaining
Poor Somi :(
Not so poor, considering that she planned to betray you from very start
@@Алексей545-т6б like it wasn't obvious. At least she comes clean about it. Nusa enslaved her and she has nobody to get out.
@@kingofheavymetal And why my V should even care? She dont like when others put her in grave risk and use from behind the scenes - that for sure
.
And nope. NUSA dont enslave Somi - it her own stupidity force her to pick Black Wall for first time. After this choice was simple - Netwatch zero her for good (and be in right here because fools like Somi could kill all of humanity) or she would live but work for NUSA because everything come with a price
@@Алексей545-т6бshe was lied to, backstabbed, and viewed only as a weapon instead of a person for years on end. It’s the only thing she knows. I’d have trust issues too.
@@Алексей545-т6б I literally knew she is lying about the cure for both of us since that moment she takes you to her special place in dogtown. You can literally hear it that she wants to tell you but also she needs you to escape so she can't.
Did she ever go above the buildings in dogtown? Like the highest point in dogtown next to the circle hotel? I think she’d appreciate the surprise hidden there
Edit: i also saw you did the eric cartman marketing strategy… impressive move
Cool! Now I know what to what this evening 😎
love the chonkier videos
for the next game, I highly recommend Doki Doki Literature Club :) Or Cat Lady.
Is it bad I want to do this to every friend of mine who hasn't played this game? Just sit them down and force them to play Phantom Liberty! 😅
make her play both endings
So beack to main game then, still alot to do and some Adams to smash. :)
waiiiiiit 39min video ???? Let me grab something to eat cause I know I wont skipping one sec
I love her
I actually chose the same ending.
There is a lot more of the main game. Are you going to play it ?
The language is so cool i just discovered it it's Azerbaijani ❤❤. Gotta learn this language. So cool
What language are you talking about?
i wonder how you get to Azerbaijani out of her Swedish... remember her talking about "her swedish charmes" ?
Very mature decision in the end.
NO WHY SHE BACKTRACKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Worst ending unlocked...
Did the youtuber lady record from home or something? She sounds very differently from every other character.
In universe her character has a throat implant. It's just a vocal effect
@@kuranhelix278 Alanah? I don't think that's the reason.
@@lockekappa500 I thought they were talking about Suzi (Stella in game)
@@kuranhelix278 Oh I dunno, I just know that Alanah Pearce (a youtuber) had VERY low quality on her voice work.
@@kuranhelix278 Yep.
please, all i need is a collection of mods.
And the other ones hit like a truck, not in a good way : they just put you in front of your contradictions.
lets gooo
Did you do any side jobs and gigs at all?
We did! She's mainly interested in the main story for now tho
Damn, she chose the worst ending😂
VOFF! VOFF!
Male breath, HUSBANDO.
this is considered one of the least favorite endings never seen anyone do it before very surprised
Only the second time I've seen it happen.
*motorboat*
Ummm, it is not really finished? If you pass time for 1-2 days Reed will call you.
You'll see in the next episode :)
Would be cool if you showed her the trailer where Song betrays Reed!
Personally agreed.
are you using any mods or just rt? your game looks a lot better than mine
good video btw 👍
Yep, that would be the Natural Californian Lighting mod, but then i'm maxing out ray tracing aswell
@@GirlfriendPlaythroughs thank you bro
Girlfrienda, if you think anyone in this has a happy ending you haven't been paying attention. Ya think David would have given Lucy to Smasher like you gave So-Mi to Reed? David and Becca had to die for it to happen but at least Lucy made it out. Not angry with you choom, just sad for So-Mi..
I still haven’t gotten to Phantom Liberty.
Okay? Then play the game... 😂😂😂
@@DefeatedElite Trust me, I’m playing the game. I just haven’t gotten to the PL part yet.
they are thieves, wow, what a fucking crime.
reed dies every time, it's my head cannon, kinda like destroy in me3.
They are little more, then just thieves
@@Алексей545-т6б remind me who's v anyway
Reed is cool, so mi the lying bitch deserves her fate 😂😂
disappointing ending ngl
When facing high quality husbandos like Johnny and Reed it's hard not to get a little stimulated even for a straight man like me. His smile at the phone really got me too.
❤❤❤ (the third one is for the video, the others you can guess)
