  • Imagine putting a fox in space, how cringe!!!!!1!!!!!
To further celebrate 30 years of Star Fox, I'll be talking about the games Star Fox inspired. There was too much for one video, so there will be another one in the future. In this one, I talk about Panzer Dragoon, Fur Squadron, Red Alarm, and Star X!
Have any ideas for a future StarFox vid or related? Please comment and let me know.

Don't know about star fox, but it was still entertaining. Good job and great choices.

Thank you for watching. If you ever do have the time, I'd suggest checking out SF or any of the games mentioned in the vid :)

Very good video, well edited and informative! Never realized there was an On-Rails Shooter on the Gameboy Advanced and Virtual Boy, so that was interesting to learn about. Looking forward to part two. I really enjoyed FUR Squadron as if feels similar to Star Fox, but as you said, it makes itself unique with it.
I got some recommendations for some Star Fox-Likes that I've managed to play on Steam; (though I can't say with certainty if they said they were inspired by Star Fox) such as Astro Dogs, and Verge World (Demo). There's also Unit Down and Unit Down Charged (Demo), but they are on foot, but do have On-Rails Shooting gameplay with animals on two legs, so kinda close.

Thanks for watching bud. As much as I complained about Red Alarm and Star X, they are pretty good for the consoles they are on. And I'll look into a few of the games you mentioned 👀

I'm surprised you didn't shout out that Star Fox Adventures ripoff on Wii, *'The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess'*

In the next vid, I will do a 3 hour dive onto why Zelda Totk is a poor man's Star Fox Adventures

My first thought upon seeing the title was the Jaguar’s Trevor McFur, so I’m hoping this video includes significantly better games that were inspired by Star Fox. Also, would X (Game Boy) count as the game that inspired Star Fox?
0:32 - Not just F-Zero, Another Code got a remake and Endless Ocean is getting a new entry. We’re witnessing many Nintendo IPs be revived... though I have my doubts for poor Chibi-Robo.
3:01 - Pretty sure this exact control scheme was also used in Sonic Adventure for the Tornado missions. Starting off strong with a series, inspired by Star Fox, going on to be heavily associated with an entire console and boasting multiple well received entries.
7:33 - The pacing of Red Alarm reminds me of one of the levels in Star Fox Zero, Area 3 I believe, when you control the Gyrowing. Even some of the level layout seems reminiscent.
9:38 - A shame to hear it’s only okay. It looked like a good attempt at making a Star Fox on the GBA and I certainly like the vibrancy of Star X here.
12:34 - I saw images of those Fur Squadron characters before but didn’t realise they were connected to a game. I just thought they were someone’s Stat Fox ocs.
17:56 - Hmmm, the other game that came to mind is actually not one that got inspired by Star Fox (from what I know) but was often compared to Star Fox; Guardian on the Amiga CD32. It’s better to compare it to a 3D Defender, but it’s graphical style certainly evokes SNES Star Fox.

Would all of these be inspired by Space Harrier tho?
