This movie was written by a very out of touch person))) Pretty sure the girls who talk with internet abbreviations would be mercilessly ridiculed too.

This movie is my childhood so I love this movie
My college roommate was English and it threw me for a loop the first time he referred to Jello as "jelly". Then again he was confused when the mix for it came in powdered form instead of blocks.
I remember an old story about a vampire dachshund, as far as I remember he was finally caught by the church and turned into wafers. The church didn't know he was a vampire, they just did it with all stray dogs they got their hands on.
So he's the Adventure Time brand of Vampire
This movie is what happens when you get a 6 year old into playing Vampire: The Masquerade and hand them a Gangrel with 5 dots in Celerity and Dominate, but the Storyteller is an idiot and doesn't want to have blood be a central point of the game when there's a kid playing.

"Yeah, sure! You wouldn't have to _sign_ for that...!" I mean, they probably DID have to sign for it but, as per usual for couriers, they just dump it at the door and sprint back to their vehicle. I'm surprised he rang the doorbell, though. Normally they only ring the doorbell when you have a big sign on the door saying "NIGHT SHIFT WORKER SLEEPING, PLEASE KNOCK".
It is like those movies when some troubled teenagers get some help by something ... vampire dog. And a movie needs a vilain so... they want the dog for their stuff. (Iam sure this sums up the creativ thinking process behind this.)

looking at the labratory i somehow doubt that she has the technique to do anything with genetics. Btw Jello..i mean that stuff is probably the cheapest and easiest 'cooked' stuff you could get. The boy sure could make tons of it by himself, but i guess that would mess up the 'brilliant' plot of sneaking the dog into places to feed him. So maybe this is ment to be some joke of the movie, but it falls totally flat-

The movie is set in the US (I think, maybe Canada, but I assume US for mass appeal), and it would be really strange if everyone there referred to it as jelly in conversation.
Jello is a brand name so they probably would face a lawsuit if they would have used Jello.
Norm McDonald's presence could get me to watch a Gooby reboot.

I don't know about other people's schools, but we would have been much more entertained by the principal getting hit in the dick. I once watched mine try to break up a cat fight in the lunchroom and one of the ladies scratched his face all up, fuck man, we talked about that FOREVER.
How could those kids make fun of him when they are waaaay worse at music.

Jell-O is THE big brand for gelatin dessert in North America, so much so that it's used as a genericized trademark, though a few other products like instant pudding are sold under the Jell-O branding as well.
Furthermore, in North America, jelly is the word for a type of jam that has no fruit pieces in it, only using the juice. This makes the genericized trademark helpful for clarity.

I Thought I Was Expecting Cujo Or Devil Dog From Hell Or Man's Best Friend Or Zoltan: Hound Of Dracula, But It's Not Even A Real Horror Story At All, It's Mostly About The Kid Trying Fitting In At His New School With His Mother As A Failure Of Everything. It's Like He's Being Carrie White.
And If I Was Skylar In The Movie I Tell Her "Friends" To Keep Their Friendship. They're Bad Friends.
And The "Villains" Are Pointless Because Their Not A Part Of This Plot About Trying To Fit In At A New School.All They Wanted Is One DNA Sample Of A Dog, Just One! Why Can't They Ask For The Sample? It's Ok To Ask!

I've honestly tried to get though this movie several times and I can't do it. It's too kiddy and stupid, and I can usually stand bad movies.
Is it bad that I couldn't tell if "Ace" was a boy or a girl until Lupa identified him. Also holy shit someone get that kid a proper costume design!

The thing about critics they look too much into the show itself they actually explain why the dog eats Jell-O like stop it just stop it it’s a fun movie and you’re looking too much into it
