That first scam (with the weather) is the most important one 😉 . Luckily, it's not too anoying. On a hot, sumer day a quick storm can be even a pleasent experience.🤗
P.S. Labeling Krakow a "scam city" is a bit unfari.

You are correct! Krakow is one of the Best Cities in EU for a City Break! There are some Scams such as the Strip Club Scam that I wanted to raise awareness about. The weather in Krakow from May to October is lovely, I was just telling them to bring an Umbrella Incase. Inflation? The beer for €3.50 must be very concerning. Especially when compared to £8.00 beer in London.

    • @travelwithcol4625

@user-px6ch7fg7w Here are the current Prices: at Diomant billard club an international beer was 25 zloty (€6) then I went to Casa Latino pub where the cheapest beer is 21 zloty (€5). Bull Pub (€6-8), Irish pub (€6-8) Bull Dog 30 zloty Pilsner Urquell.. Harris Jazz the same .. Pod Jaszurmai (30 Zloty) a pint 🍺 Poli pub at the main square 30 zloty a Pint 🍺 the majority of pubs are expensive here now, they keep putting prices up and up and as a Local resident we feel Overcharged. I am from a normal seaside town in Northern England and my Local pub is £2.80 a pint of Carlsberg, Wetherspoon in any English city is £1-2 a pint by the way! London is the Capital and costs £5-6 a pint but krakow is not a Capital city and a few years ago it was 6 zloty a pint so inflation is the Highest in EU here

@shannonburtenshaw3787 In Krakow there are hundreds of Expensive Bars & Clubs and only a few cheap Pubs. 👍 and I am surprised that there is a Police station at the Main square but they will not let you report a crime there, when my iPhone was stolen they gave me an Address of another Police station outside of the centre where I had travel in order to report it so I went there and then they told me that in Poland I cannot report the crime without a Translator Polish to English. Tough job to find a Translator and Very Expensive as you pay per the hour and the queues to report the crime are big. Keeps the Crime figures down on Paper ⚠️

    • @pluki1357
      @pluki1357 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@travelwithcol4625 You are in Poland. English is not an official language here. BTW translator does not have to be an official one, sworn person, to report a stolen phone. It could be any friendly person who'd help you with the task.
You are right, those 'tricks' of police beureaucrasts are disgusting. However, expectation that we, the locals have to speak your language can be seen a bit ... I don't know how to call it .
On the other hand - in such a touristic city and with the level of English here among the locals I actually don't believe those guys at the Police station that it was not possible for them to provide anyone who spoke decent English there.
That's a discgrace they keep pushing reported petit crime level with such methods.
I bet if a bunch of drunk English men were behaving poorly in the Main Market Square, the same Police would've known how to speak to them and how to handle the situation 😉. It's called a "miracle of statistics' 🤣

    • @travelwithcol4625

@pluki1357 you make some good points. In Krakow everyone speaks English here and this is one of the reasons why it is the most popular city break destination for British Tourists. My iPhone was stolen and no crime was reported because they made it complicated. Lots of the expats and tourists here feel let down by the Police here. In my opinion Poland is the Best country to live in and I love Polish people. Please watch my other Tours from all the Polish Cities and Thanks for the comments

Kazimierz district is a hub for different cultures, including alternative ones, which obviously involve murals and graffiti.
And I am glad that Warschauer Straße in Berlin or Camden in London are kept free of graffiti, by their respective excellent councils.

@@travelwithcol4625 Correct! I've spoken to one of people I've known for years. He's a manager in one of the caffees. After the pandemic they kept rising price of coffee 3x in a row within 6 months (sic!). When we spoke about it he admited that it had only partially to do with rising costs of labour, energy etc.
It was at Kazimierz and he admited they simply had ...a meeting with couple of other local owners and they done it in a sort of collusion . Since tourists will pay virtually ANY price.

as a Pole, I have never felt cheated. The menu shows prices of the products. If I see that something is too expensive for me I just don’t go to this restaurant. Very often you can have the menu in English. You can communicate in English also. Krakow is a very touristic city, also for Poles, but we also have other interesting cities. Renting a place in the city center is very expensive, so prices in restaurants in the market square are often higher

I was attacked with a bottle outside a bar some years ago, I am really Disappointed that it is so hard to report a crime in Krakow. I guess they want to keep the Crime figures Low here.
