Ufouria is a game that was strangely never released in the United States, even though it was released in Europe in addition to Japan (where it's known as Hebereke).
The game itself is a Metroid ( tasvideos.org/... )-style adventure: it takes place in a world that can be freely explored and several items need to be found and bosses defeated in order to gain access to some areas that initially seem inaccessible.
aiqiyou ( tasvideos.org/... ) improves the previous TAS ( tasvideos.org/... ) by 10.62 seconds, thanks to a new wall jumping trick as well as better optimisation. Please read the author's comments ( tasvideos.org/... ) for more details.

This movie has a full Atlas Map encode ( • Ufouria: The Saga (Any... ), which shows the standard encode overlaid on a zoomed out map.
Nice! I'm always happy to see this game getting love. I was considering making a new TAS myself at one point but ended up not doing it. Ufouria is interesting cause the TAS has very little that isn't possible in real time, it's pretty much only little subtle things and some of the boss strats.
Excited for part 2. LETSGO
A Tas of this game was always interesting to me. The different ways to take advantage of switching characters to stoneskip stuff aswell as the tasks necessary to beat the game always made this an interesting idea to me.
I want to watch this, but I still haven't played the other three games (Uoneia, Utwoia, Uthreeia) yet, and I don't want any spoilers.
...I'll see myself out.
WHY THE FRICK DOES THIS GAME LOOK SO C U T E
The sequel to this game has just been released!
the jp version is about a war, the en version is that they fall trought a hole and end up in another world.
muricans made isekai before it was popular :o
@@angel_of_rust It's funny because that game never had an US release, it was only distributed in Japan and Europe, and both versions are very hard to find nowadays due to its limited release.
They planned to release the game in the US but it was cancelled shortly after, as Sunsoft of America's managers thought that the characters were too strange for the US market, and their next game “Gimmick!” also never had an US release for the same reason.
Sunsoft sounds, amazing!..
An obscure game.
What do you get when you let a Sunsoft team work on a game just for funsies? Ufouria.
Thos Game needed love back in the Past
Отличное прохождение
as soon as i discovered how to moonwalk in this game i immediately went to find a tas to see how often it does it
i was not disappointed
The word 'style' is included in a link in the description when it is not supposed to.

I just recently bought the soundtrack on vinyl
Is there no significant difference/advantage to the Japanese version?
Wait a minute, isn't this Hebereke Popoito??
Yes, but the site uses the English title when available. Hebereke is mentioned in the video description.
@@CoolKirby2000 Oh I see.
I do not know if this comment helps or hinders something, more watching this video I was inspired to play Ufouria until it ends, I ended up discovering a Glitch in the final Boss, if you will throw that blue thing in the heart of Boss at the same time it covers, it takes more than 2 or 3 damages at once.
that’s why I found it strange that I finished the game much faster...
I don’t know exactly if Glitch was this or something else, but he actually died faster
bruh :/
i had this game on my NES when i whas little and it whas my favorite game

Not the ones from Bomberman.
Is this channel about Speedruns or Superplays?
Both. This is one of the speedruns, and here's an example of a superplay of Smash Bros Melee: tasvideos.org/4185M.html
Note that superplays must be highly entertaining in order to be published on the site (and TH-cam); speedruns have fewer restrictions.
никогда не видел игру..
It's like a heavily modded mega-man
The game is too baggy
보스 디자인 씹 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Absolutely dislike how they bastardized the character design in the european version
An NES metroidvania that doesn't look horribly cryptic?!
I'm liking how it handles the way you attack most Bosses, despite being a stomp-based platformer.
Not a fan of the "lol random" artstyle, though.
Never heard of this game before, seems boring. Like anyway though
It's actually a pretty good speedgame, it's more technical than it looks. It is a bit compact and linear if you compare it to a more modern metroidvania though, I will say that (and it's part of why I enjoy the speedrun aspect of it, because it adds another goal and reason to replay it :) ).
@@MystMagus i dont like metroidvania games in general, even with a map i still get lost everywhere i go so.
@@knox1392 I rarely play them either tbh, though I like them from an intellectual standpoint. There is a balance though for sure. For example, I want to love La-Mulana cause I like the general themes and gameplay, but I just find it too obscure to find the way to make progress. Hours of just walking back and forth without finding anything new to do at some points made it hard to enjoy for me eventually.
And the award for lamest video game ending goes to...
Super Mario Odyssey! ...But this comes pretty dang close.
