If Pastor Matthew chooses to be accurate in his scholarly duties as a shepherd over God's flock then, it is only right he sticks to sound doctrine. From my little study, I know of the following categories: parables of the kingdom, salvation, wisdom and folly, the Christian life, and Judgment. The parable of the lost coin focuses on how precious we are to God; it conveys God's love, compassion and the realisation of our self-worth to God. The parable of the lost sheep has only one focus on how God's kingdom is open to everyone; He seeks to bring those that are lost back into the fold. The parable of the Sower focuses on our choice of being like the good soil by our decision to hear and live according to the word of God; it brings into context the need to trust God, an expectation that there will be different responses to the good news etc. The parable of the prodigal son focuses on God's unconditional love; it also emphasise the contrast between legalism (entitlement mentality) and Grace, and the forgiving nature of God. I don't see how any of these can be used by a "seasoned" shepherd as talking about finances, unless the message is cajoled into being one.
He is fighting back because, through people's money, he has been building His wealth empire. Housing estate from people's tithes and seeds and money-making programs that don't change people's lives.

I have never regretted any single message I heard from Dr Abel Damina. Before these whole social media buzz, I never paid attention to his teachings. Listening to his views on Honest bunch podcast wowed me the way he has higher point of arguements which he showed scripturally. I changed my view about Dr Damina. He is a great scholar and teacher of the word. I just started listening to many of his teachings and interviews. With due respect to pas Ashimolowo, yes those parables of Jesus were on trade, but they clearly demonstrate that God's trade and business is Soul of men ... the overall learning is "just like a business person has trades, for God his trade is souls of men." In fact, Jesus said to Peter (a fisherman), "follow me and i will MAKE YOU A FISHER OF MEN" .... The point Jesus is making is not to teach Peter how to be successful with fishing but he is using his trade to introduce another kind of trade that is of focus to God.
