It's a terrible advice, tho. You are Junkrat, it isn't your job to deal with Pharah and nor hers. She can't really counter Junkrat so at best it's neutral. The real advice against Pharah is positioning and elevation. The usual things you do against her as other heroes, too.
Don’t waste your mines. As long as she’s not pocketed, stay on the high ground and fling mines at her. On Eichenwalde and Numbani she gets destroyed if she doesn’t keep her distance.

I'm a gold/plat player, and I've learned a lot of things from your tips of different heroes. Believe it or not, many of these tips are not well-known in my rank for some reason and it really gives me an advantage everytime I watch your videos. Like lucio B-hopping, whenever I mention about this term, many players in my rank have no idea what I'm talking about and it simply gives more proof that your videos are very helpful for low rank players. Thank you KarQ and I hope more people get recognition of your channel as it is extremely useful!

Another tip about junkrat that im surprised jake didnt mention. You can place a mine on the ground and not detonate it and the Cool down for the mine begins. When the Cool down ends you're mine still stays there so its almost like you have a third mine. Really useful to get to really high spots or even contest pharah super high up in the air
As some rando whos played junkrat since the game launched, ima add some stuff to this: -In general, you should use the trap on cooldown. Throw your trap down on nearby flanks or in the middle of combat to force battles to either play around it or suffer the consequences. And be sure to listen for it to break or notice the trap break icon -When running from other heros, particularly DPS with less mobility but good damage, you can use Junkrats slow projectiles to good use by firing them behind you, or firing at the floor/wall as you run, to leave a trail of pain behind you. Keep your ears peeled for enemies that use mobility/damage deflection -When versing airborne heros, i.e. Pharah Echo Mercy, don't seek to kill them but to distract them. They are vulnerable to hitscan in all situations and your primary damage sources within closed areas, so lure them around corners and be aware of areas where they can come behind you. Even if you cant kill them, you CAN lower their health enough to leave them in a bad position for the rest of your team, as long as you survive the encounter -When versing high mobility heros, i.e. Tracer Genji and once again Echo, watch their mobility patterns, as well as following what was said in this video. Keeping track of when they dash or recall or use flight will enable you to predict where they will be better, thus making you a more dangerous diving target -Junkrat versus barriers is by no means the best in the game. At least 2 tanks or more can do it better at any given time, and numerous DPS have better shield break, depending on the situation. Im not saying DONT shoot barriers, but Junkrats one true strength is being able to hit things around corners and behind walls. Applying pressure around the barrier is usually better, as chokes are always your friend and barriers have a tendency to live within them -Wrecking ball is killable with one trap most of the time, unless he has more than 200 shields. Keep that in mind, and dont be afraid to drop the second trap anyways, even if he does die -Zarya can be punished for using bubbles in some situations, but unless you can guarantee her death after popping a bubble, its definitely better to bait it out -Mei's blizzard can indeed freeze tire, so if you try to punish the enemy team for capitalizing on AoE freezing, be sure to detonate early -Baptiste can be punished for saving his over aggressive team if you tire him, EVEN WITH immortailty field. State that your going to weaken the other team if this is your play, so they can properly capitalize on the 20% health enemies, and tire close by so you can kill them quickly -Mercy can be trapped when she goes for a rez, so be sure to drop one on or near enemy corpses if shes feeling like saving someone
Also, another tip for Junk vs. Reaper, if Reaper pulls his ult on you throw a trap in his predicted direction and if he falls in it, your passive will kill him.

Another tip for Zenyatta (that is well known): If zen uses transcendence in a graviton surge, your riptire will still kill every squishy and tank who cant protect themselves, just make sure they don't shut the tire down by zigzagging

Ive been playing the game since season 3 and all of these tips become common knowledge the only one i didnt know was the mcree. Becuase id just blow him up out of his ult lol. Also for pharah as junkrat ,if shes the only target which is never the case, but if its 1v1 junkrat and pharah know your pipebombs range and distance and travel time prefire your pipes where you see the Pharah strafing to and if shes above the enemy team just aim towards the enemy's team if they dont have a mercy she'll have to come down to get heals. But all these tips are 100% good vid totally liking this!👍 SO helpful for newer players.
Hi there! I've been a Junkrat main for forever and I thought I'd share my two-cents on each of these heroes! Perhaps this is something KarQ or Jake will see? Here are some additional tips for every matchup: *General Tip* - *Set up your RIP-Tire BEFORE a fight.* If you have your rip-tire, set up behind cover adjacent to where the enemy team pushes in. Do not poke, do not move, and if the enemy spots you, change locations immediately. Too often, Junkrat's will tire in the middle of a fight without any preparation. This tip will often help secure kills within seconds of the initial Q, giving the enemy team little to no time to prepare. Additionally, don't be afraid to use RIP-Tire more often than not. RIP-Tire is one of the fastest charging ultimates in the game, if Junkrat is played correctly, so rather than waiting for a perfect moment to use RIP-Tire, getting one kill may be enough to secure a team fight. *TANKS* *D.Va* - *Bait out Micro Missiles behind cover.* To add to Jake's advice: in addition to placing a preemptive trap, use cover to bait out Micro Missiles from a diving D.Va. Most D.Va's will engage with both Defense Matrix and Micro Missiles, but Micro Missiles only last for 1.6 seconds. If baited, D.Va will remain trapped and your primary fire will take her out of mech. *Orisa* - *With a coordinated team, destroy her shield immediately.* While bouncing primary fire behind her shield is an option, Orisa's shield's cooldown is 10 seconds and a full round of Junkrat's primary fire is 3.3 seconds. With a well-timed push, destroying Orisa's shield immediately after being placed will give your team almost 7 full seconds to push in and engage. Minimize poke damage by destroying the outer corners of her shield behind cover. *Reinhardt* - *Displace Reinhardt's charges and Earthshatters with mines and traps.* Junkrat's mines and traps are especially efficient at displacing Reinhardt. Don't be afraid to throw a mine at Reinhardt's shield without detonating. If a Reinhardt holds W, charges, or Earthshatters, detonate your mine to immediately displace him. Placing a trap perfectly aligned with a charge will prevent the charge from connecting without destroy the trap, and mines and traps can also be used to disrupt follow-up after an Earthshatter. *Roadhog* - *Focus down Roadhog during Whole Hog.* The difference between Whole Hog and Junkrat's primary fire is that Whole Hog has less damage potential at a distance while Junkrat's primary fire does not. During Whole Hog, Roadhog cannot self-heal, meaning a full round of Junkrat's primary fire, 650, is enough to kill a Roadhog during his ultimate. *Sigma* - *Escape his ultimate with a preemptive mine.* Like Doomfist's ultimate, Gravitic Flux takes almost a second after being placed to activate. With a preemptive mine placed at your feet and fast reaction time, you can escape most Gravitic Flux's. During Gravitic Flux, Sigma's movement becomes limited, making him an easy target for Junkrat's primary fire. Bonus tip: as Sigma is preparing Accretion, displace his position with a mine. *Winston* - *Displace Winston's jump with a mine BEFORE he lands.* Winston's Jump and subsequent landing deals 1-50 damage, and if engaging Winston with a trap is not an option for you, put distance between Winston and yourself BEFORE he lands to avoid taking damage, as seen in 4:16. This trick is also useful for protecting your back line. *Wrecking Ball* - *Displace Wrecking Ball's swinging momentum with a mine.* We've all been there: a Wrecking Ball stalling by swinging around in circles. Because Wrecking Ball's swing deals damage and destroys traps, a consistent way of displacing Wrecking Ball is with your mine. Doing so will displace his Piledriver, there by protecting your back line, as well as disrupt his ability to stall points. *Zarya* - *Shoot through enemy Graviton Surges.* Assuming you are not caught in an enemy Zarya's Graviton Surge, her ult provides you with a perfect angle at which to spam the enemy and build ult charge. The enemy team will almost always engage into a Graviton Surge at close quarters, so play at a distance, don't get caught in the grav, and shoot straight through it or at an angle behind cover.
*DPS* *Ashe* - *Displace Bob behind cover with mines.* Bob will only track targets within his line of sight, and in many cases, the team fight may occur elsewhere. Track Bob's movements and after he stops, displace Bob with mines by throwing him behind cover, then take the team fight elsewhere or behind separate cover. *Bastion* - *Track Baptiste's Immortality Field/Set up RIP-Tire between fights.* In many Bastion comps, a Baptiste is present to provide the Immortality Field for Bastion. With the Immortality Field, Bastion cannot be killed. Focus Baptiste and Immortality Field first before focusing Bastion, and set up your RIP-Tire between fights to clear the Bastion without giving the enemy team a chance to heal him. *Doomfist* - *Displace Rocket Punch with a mine.* Protect your back line and yourself with a mine when Doomfist charges his Rocket Punch. While a trap is also effective at stopping a Doomfist in his tracks, a well-timed mine is fast solution as well. Most Doomfists will charge Rocket Punch after ulting, so prepare a mine at Doomfist's ult location to displace him immediately. *Echo* - *Stay mobile with mine jumps and stay behind cover.* Much of Echo's effectiveness comes from deleting enemy DPS with a one-shot combination of her primary fire, Sticky Bombs, and Focusing Beam. Because her primary fire and Sticky Bombs are both projectiles, remaining mobile by using mine jumps will make you a difficult target to land these abilities on, and without initial damage, Focusing Beam does little to kill Junkrat. *Genji* - *Kill a deflecting Genji with displaced mines.* As Jake mentions, preemptively place traps for Genji to dash into. The hitbox of Genji's deflect is smaller than the hitbox of Junkrat's mine, so when a trapped Genji begins deflection, two mines thrown to the side or above him will immediately kill him. *Hanzo* - *Displace and escape Dragonstrike with mines.* Keep track of ultimates and prepare for Hanzo's Dragonstrike. When he charges his ult, displace his aim by throwing a mine. Most Hanzo ults will run near and parallel to the ground, so if displacing his Dragonstrike is not an option, immediately use your mines to jump vertically into the air, giving you time to navigate your way out of Dragonstrike from above. *Junkrat* - *Maintain vertical mobility.* Junkrat excels in damage output, and the better Junkrat will have superior damage output over the other. Using mines to gain vertical movement for 2-3 seconds allows you to put pressure into the enemy team's back line, forcing the enemy Junkrat to play defensively. *McCree* - *Lob your primary fire over shields.* McCree, like many other DPS, typically plays at a mid-range behind the enemy tanks. However, with limited mobility, this makes McCree vulnerable to aerial fire. Maintain a high ground with cover or lob your primary fire over tanks to put pressure on the enemy McCree. Bonus tip: use your mine to keep displacing McCree so that McCree cannot reliably stun your team. *Mei* - *Knock Mei away from frozen targets with your mine.* Like with many other heroes, Junkrat can save a frozen teammate by using a mine to throw Mei away from her target, as Mei typically relies on her right-click for follow-up. Additionally, use a mine to put distance between yourself and Mei. Bonus tip: use your mine to easily escape Blizzard. *Pharah* - *Put heavy focus on enemy targets besides Pharah.* Junkrat is undoubtedly the worst matchup against Pharah, but this comes with a silver lining. With proper damage mitigation on your team, such as having an effective D.Va, Junkrat will easily out-damage an enemy Pharah. Stay behind cover, focus on bursting down the enemy team, and communicate with your teammates. *Reaper* - *Bait Wraith Form with traps and one-shot combo Shadow Step.* Every Reaper will attempt to escape damage by using Wraith Form when trapped, making trapped Reapers easy targets to follow up on with your team. Additionally, Reapers using Shadow Step are easy targets for one-shot combos. If you're not confident in your combo, placing a trap next to Shadow Step and immediately trapping the enemy Reaper afterwards will ensure that all of his cooldowns are used. *Soldier: 76* - *Spam Biotic Field with primary fire and mines.* As Jake mentioned, when Soldier: 76 used Biotic Field, he or his teammates will generally be standing inside the Biotic Field, giving Junkrat an easy target to spam his primary fire into. However, you can also use your mine to displace Soldier from his Biotic Field, making him an easy target, especially at close to mid-range. *Sombra* - *Use mines to disrupt invisibility and hacks.* Any amount of damage will take a Sombra out of her invisibility and interrupt her hack. Traps are a great way to stall Sombra's, but also use the area-of-effect damage of mines to bring Sombra out of invisiblity or to interrupt her hacks in the back line. *Symmetra* - *Reveal Symmetra's turrets with your trap.* Symmetra's turrets will lock onto Junkrat's traps, so use traps to reveal the location of turrets for safe disposal. Place a trap ahead of an entrance or a choke point before entering yourself, then clear the turrets by throwing a mine ahead of you and detonating. *Torbjorn* - *Reveal Torbjorn's turret with your trap.* Like Symmetra's turrets, Torbjorn's turret will lock onto your trap, allowing you to reveal a turret's location by throwing a trap ahead of you. Additionally, exactly two left-clicks or one left-click plus one mine will kill the 200HP turret. *Tracer* - *Force recall with mines.* Being a 150HP hero, Tracer cannot afford to take much damage. Spamming your area-of-effect mines is an exactly way to chip Tracer's health down without the use of pinpoint accuracy and pressure her into retreating or using recall. Track her movement and use a trap to predict her recall after forcing it with your mines. Using mines to force her recall makes her recall much more predictable. *Widowmaker* - *Spam choke points during Infra-Sight.* One of the most important things to do when an enemy Widowmaker uses Infra-Sight is to take cover. However, to follow up on this, the enemy team will likely pressure your team by holding W. Use this to your advantage by placing traps and mines preemptively, as well as actively spamming choke points during this push. Do not use RIP-Tire during Infra-Sight as this makes you a static target.
*SUPPORTS* *Ana* - *Disrupt Nano'd targets with traps and mines.* As mentioned already, one of Junkrat's primary purposes is to crowd control the enemy. Most enemy targets given Nano Boost by Ana are high priority targets, so you'll have to CC them into oblivion. For Reinhardt's Earthshatter, displace him using mines and traps. For Genji's Dragonblade, use RIP-Tire. For Reaper's Death Blossom, use traps. *Baptiste* - *Avoid line of sight during Amplification Matrix.* Like Orisa's Supercharger and Widowmaker's Infra-Sight, taking a fight or poking should be avoided or done out of line of sight. As Junkrat, use this to your advantage by spamming choke points from which the enemy team advances through after using Amplification Matrix. *Brigitte* - *Put distance between Brigitte and your team.* While Brigitte's shield can easily be destroyed by Junkrat, she may not always have her shield up or face the right way. Brigitte only benefits from close-range combat, so when she engages on a teammate, throw a mine to immediately disengage her from your team. *Lucio* - *Crowd control enemy engagements on speed boost.* More often than not, Lucio's speed boost and Sound Barrier are used for engagements. Use your trap to stop the enemy team in their tracks when Lucio uses speed boost or Sound Barrier to prevent a full-on engagement. Additionally, like with Tracer, use mines to chip health off Lucio to force a retreat. *Mercy* - *Break the Geneva Conventions and trap enemy corpses.* While using mines to knock Mercy away from resurrecting her teammates is an effective strategy, this may not always be an option. A proper failsafe is to place a trap under enemy corpses, making Mercy an exposed target for your team to focus should you not be present. Additionally, track ultimates and the tempo of the team fights, as this will better inform you as to who Mercy is more likely to resurrect. A Zarya with Graviton Surge is a higher priority target for Mercy than a Tracer. *Moira* - *Force Fade using mines and traps.* Like with Tracer's Recall and Reaper's Wraith Form, Moira's Fade is an easy ability to force by chipping away at Moira's health using mines and traps. Although Fade will safely disengage from the initial damage, this exposes her to follow-up damage using an additional mine. *Zenyatta* - *Use RIP-Tire during Transcendence.* Because Transcendence heals enemy heroes over time, RIP-Tire is an excellent way to confirm a kill during Transcendence, especially as the enemy team is more likely to let their guard down. Additionally, using a trap to hold a target in place will either leave Zenyatta behind his team or take an enemy target out of Zenyatta's Transcendence, making landing a one-shot combo much easier.
also for brig, countering rally is pretty much the same as countering lamp. just boop enemies out of the radius and you’re good to go. also your primary fire bursts through armor like it’s not even there.

Another tip about junkrat that im surprised jake didnt mention.
You can place a mine on the ground and not detonate it and the Cool down for the mine begins. When the Cool down ends you're mine still stays there so its almost like you have a third mine. Really useful to get to really high spots or even contest pharah super high up in the air

As some rando whos played junkrat since the game launched, ima add some stuff to this:
-In general, you should use the trap on cooldown. Throw your trap down on nearby flanks or in the middle of combat to force battles to either play around it or suffer the consequences. And be sure to listen for it to break or notice the trap break icon
-When running from other heros, particularly DPS with less mobility but good damage, you can use Junkrats slow projectiles to good use by firing them behind you, or firing at the floor/wall as you run, to leave a trail of pain behind you. Keep your ears peeled for enemies that use mobility/damage deflection
-When versing airborne heros, i.e. Pharah Echo Mercy, don't seek to kill them but to distract them. They are vulnerable to hitscan in all situations and your primary damage sources within closed areas, so lure them around corners and be aware of areas where they can come behind you. Even if you cant kill them, you CAN lower their health enough to leave them in a bad position for the rest of your team, as long as you survive the encounter
-When versing high mobility heros, i.e. Tracer Genji and once again Echo, watch their mobility patterns, as well as following what was said in this video. Keeping track of when they dash or recall or use flight will enable you to predict where they will be better, thus making you a more dangerous diving target
-Junkrat versus barriers is by no means the best in the game. At least 2 tanks or more can do it better at any given time, and numerous DPS have better shield break, depending on the situation. Im not saying DONT shoot barriers, but Junkrats one true strength is being able to hit things around corners and behind walls. Applying pressure around the barrier is usually better, as chokes are always your friend and barriers have a tendency to live within them
-Wrecking ball is killable with one trap most of the time, unless he has more than 200 shields. Keep that in mind, and dont be afraid to drop the second trap anyways, even if he does die
-Zarya can be punished for using bubbles in some situations, but unless you can guarantee her death after popping a bubble, its definitely better to bait it out
-Mei's blizzard can indeed freeze tire, so if you try to punish the enemy team for capitalizing on AoE freezing, be sure to detonate early
-Baptiste can be punished for saving his over aggressive team if you tire him, EVEN WITH immortailty field. State that your going to weaken the other team if this is your play, so they can properly capitalize on the 20% health enemies, and tire close by so you can kill them quickly
-Mercy can be trapped when she goes for a rez, so be sure to drop one on or near enemy corpses if shes feeling like saving someone
Overwatch 1 needs a campaign mode where you have challenges like 17:00.

The secret is not getting away from her when you trap her, if you stay close, she will be always at the same heigh as you are when she wall herself

Another tip for Zenyatta (that is well known): If zen uses transcendence in a graviton surge, your riptire will still kill every squishy and tank who cant protect themselves, just make sure they don't shut the tire down by zigzagging

This is the first time I have ever seen someone use junkrat's passive as an actual serious strategy
Summary:
One shot opponent
If you can't one shot, and they have a shield, shoot behind the shield
If they are attacking you, put a bear trap between and one shot them
If you can't kill them, use the mine to run away
If you have the riptide, kill them
If you cannot kill them, use the riptide to make them lose time, and then kill them

Ive been playing the game since season 3 and all of these tips become common knowledge the only one i didnt know was the mcree. Becuase id just blow him up out of his ult lol. Also for pharah as junkrat ,if shes the only target which is never the case, but if its 1v1 junkrat and pharah know your pipebombs range and distance and travel time prefire your pipes where you see the Pharah strafing to and if shes above the enemy team just aim towards the enemy's team if they dont have a mercy she'll have to come down to get heals. But all these tips are 100% good vid totally liking this!👍 SO helpful for newer players.

Hi there! I've been a Junkrat main for forever and I thought I'd share my two-cents on each of these heroes! Perhaps this is something KarQ or Jake will see? Here are some additional tips for every matchup:
*General Tip* - *Set up your RIP-Tire BEFORE a fight.* If you have your rip-tire, set up behind cover adjacent to where the enemy team pushes in. Do not poke, do not move, and if the enemy spots you, change locations immediately. Too often, Junkrat's will tire in the middle of a fight without any preparation. This tip will often help secure kills within seconds of the initial Q, giving the enemy team little to no time to prepare. Additionally, don't be afraid to use RIP-Tire more often than not. RIP-Tire is one of the fastest charging ultimates in the game, if Junkrat is played correctly, so rather than waiting for a perfect moment to use RIP-Tire, getting one kill may be enough to secure a team fight.
*TANKS*
*D.Va* - *Bait out Micro Missiles behind cover.* To add to Jake's advice: in addition to placing a preemptive trap, use cover to bait out Micro Missiles from a diving D.Va. Most D.Va's will engage with both Defense Matrix and Micro Missiles, but Micro Missiles only last for 1.6 seconds. If baited, D.Va will remain trapped and your primary fire will take her out of mech.
*Orisa* - *With a coordinated team, destroy her shield immediately.* While bouncing primary fire behind her shield is an option, Orisa's shield's cooldown is 10 seconds and a full round of Junkrat's primary fire is 3.3 seconds. With a well-timed push, destroying Orisa's shield immediately after being placed will give your team almost 7 full seconds to push in and engage. Minimize poke damage by destroying the outer corners of her shield behind cover.
*Reinhardt* - *Displace Reinhardt's charges and Earthshatters with mines and traps.* Junkrat's mines and traps are especially efficient at displacing Reinhardt. Don't be afraid to throw a mine at Reinhardt's shield without detonating. If a Reinhardt holds W, charges, or Earthshatters, detonate your mine to immediately displace him. Placing a trap perfectly aligned with a charge will prevent the charge from connecting without destroy the trap, and mines and traps can also be used to disrupt follow-up after an Earthshatter.
*Roadhog* - *Focus down Roadhog during Whole Hog.* The difference between Whole Hog and Junkrat's primary fire is that Whole Hog has less damage potential at a distance while Junkrat's primary fire does not. During Whole Hog, Roadhog cannot self-heal, meaning a full round of Junkrat's primary fire, 650, is enough to kill a Roadhog during his ultimate.
*Sigma* - *Escape his ultimate with a preemptive mine.* Like Doomfist's ultimate, Gravitic Flux takes almost a second after being placed to activate. With a preemptive mine placed at your feet and fast reaction time, you can escape most Gravitic Flux's. During Gravitic Flux, Sigma's movement becomes limited, making him an easy target for Junkrat's primary fire. Bonus tip: as Sigma is preparing Accretion, displace his position with a mine.
*Winston* - *Displace Winston's jump with a mine BEFORE he lands.* Winston's Jump and subsequent landing deals 1-50 damage, and if engaging Winston with a trap is not an option for you, put distance between Winston and yourself BEFORE he lands to avoid taking damage, as seen in 4:16. This trick is also useful for protecting your back line.
*Wrecking Ball* - *Displace Wrecking Ball's swinging momentum with a mine.* We've all been there: a Wrecking Ball stalling by swinging around in circles. Because Wrecking Ball's swing deals damage and destroys traps, a consistent way of displacing Wrecking Ball is with your mine. Doing so will displace his Piledriver, there by protecting your back line, as well as disrupt his ability to stall points.
*Zarya* - *Shoot through enemy Graviton Surges.* Assuming you are not caught in an enemy Zarya's Graviton Surge, her ult provides you with a perfect angle at which to spam the enemy and build ult charge. The enemy team will almost always engage into a Graviton Surge at close quarters, so play at a distance, don't get caught in the grav, and shoot straight through it or at an angle behind cover.
*DPS*
*Ashe* - *Displace Bob behind cover with mines.* Bob will only track targets within his line of sight, and in many cases, the team fight may occur elsewhere. Track Bob's movements and after he stops, displace Bob with mines by throwing him behind cover, then take the team fight elsewhere or behind separate cover.
*Bastion* - *Track Baptiste's Immortality Field/Set up RIP-Tire between fights.* In many Bastion comps, a Baptiste is present to provide the Immortality Field for Bastion. With the Immortality Field, Bastion cannot be killed. Focus Baptiste and Immortality Field first before focusing Bastion, and set up your RIP-Tire between fights to clear the Bastion without giving the enemy team a chance to heal him.
*Doomfist* - *Displace Rocket Punch with a mine.* Protect your back line and yourself with a mine when Doomfist charges his Rocket Punch. While a trap is also effective at stopping a Doomfist in his tracks, a well-timed mine is fast solution as well. Most Doomfists will charge Rocket Punch after ulting, so prepare a mine at Doomfist's ult location to displace him immediately.
*Echo* - *Stay mobile with mine jumps and stay behind cover.* Much of Echo's effectiveness comes from deleting enemy DPS with a one-shot combination of her primary fire, Sticky Bombs, and Focusing Beam. Because her primary fire and Sticky Bombs are both projectiles, remaining mobile by using mine jumps will make you a difficult target to land these abilities on, and without initial damage, Focusing Beam does little to kill Junkrat.
*Genji* - *Kill a deflecting Genji with displaced mines.* As Jake mentions, preemptively place traps for Genji to dash into. The hitbox of Genji's deflect is smaller than the hitbox of Junkrat's mine, so when a trapped Genji begins deflection, two mines thrown to the side or above him will immediately kill him.
*Hanzo* - *Displace and escape Dragonstrike with mines.* Keep track of ultimates and prepare for Hanzo's Dragonstrike. When he charges his ult, displace his aim by throwing a mine. Most Hanzo ults will run near and parallel to the ground, so if displacing his Dragonstrike is not an option, immediately use your mines to jump vertically into the air, giving you time to navigate your way out of Dragonstrike from above.
*Junkrat* - *Maintain vertical mobility.* Junkrat excels in damage output, and the better Junkrat will have superior damage output over the other. Using mines to gain vertical movement for 2-3 seconds allows you to put pressure into the enemy team's back line, forcing the enemy Junkrat to play defensively.
*McCree* - *Lob your primary fire over shields.* McCree, like many other DPS, typically plays at a mid-range behind the enemy tanks. However, with limited mobility, this makes McCree vulnerable to aerial fire. Maintain a high ground with cover or lob your primary fire over tanks to put pressure on the enemy McCree. Bonus tip: use your mine to keep displacing McCree so that McCree cannot reliably stun your team.
*Mei* - *Knock Mei away from frozen targets with your mine.* Like with many other heroes, Junkrat can save a frozen teammate by using a mine to throw Mei away from her target, as Mei typically relies on her right-click for follow-up. Additionally, use a mine to put distance between yourself and Mei. Bonus tip: use your mine to easily escape Blizzard.
*Pharah* - *Put heavy focus on enemy targets besides Pharah.* Junkrat is undoubtedly the worst matchup against Pharah, but this comes with a silver lining. With proper damage mitigation on your team, such as having an effective D.Va, Junkrat will easily out-damage an enemy Pharah. Stay behind cover, focus on bursting down the enemy team, and communicate with your teammates.
*Reaper* - *Bait Wraith Form with traps and one-shot combo Shadow Step.* Every Reaper will attempt to escape damage by using Wraith Form when trapped, making trapped Reapers easy targets to follow up on with your team. Additionally, Reapers using Shadow Step are easy targets for one-shot combos. If you're not confident in your combo, placing a trap next to Shadow Step and immediately trapping the enemy Reaper afterwards will ensure that all of his cooldowns are used.
*Soldier: 76* - *Spam Biotic Field with primary fire and mines.* As Jake mentioned, when Soldier: 76 used Biotic Field, he or his teammates will generally be standing inside the Biotic Field, giving Junkrat an easy target to spam his primary fire into. However, you can also use your mine to displace Soldier from his Biotic Field, making him an easy target, especially at close to mid-range.
*Sombra* - *Use mines to disrupt invisibility and hacks.* Any amount of damage will take a Sombra out of her invisibility and interrupt her hack. Traps are a great way to stall Sombra's, but also use the area-of-effect damage of mines to bring Sombra out of invisiblity or to interrupt her hacks in the back line.
*Symmetra* - *Reveal Symmetra's turrets with your trap.* Symmetra's turrets will lock onto Junkrat's traps, so use traps to reveal the location of turrets for safe disposal. Place a trap ahead of an entrance or a choke point before entering yourself, then clear the turrets by throwing a mine ahead of you and detonating.
*Torbjorn* - *Reveal Torbjorn's turret with your trap.* Like Symmetra's turrets, Torbjorn's turret will lock onto your trap, allowing you to reveal a turret's location by throwing a trap ahead of you. Additionally, exactly two left-clicks or one left-click plus one mine will kill the 200HP turret.
*Tracer* - *Force recall with mines.* Being a 150HP hero, Tracer cannot afford to take much damage. Spamming your area-of-effect mines is an exactly way to chip Tracer's health down without the use of pinpoint accuracy and pressure her into retreating or using recall. Track her movement and use a trap to predict her recall after forcing it with your mines. Using mines to force her recall makes her recall much more predictable.
*Widowmaker* - *Spam choke points during Infra-Sight.* One of the most important things to do when an enemy Widowmaker uses Infra-Sight is to take cover. However, to follow up on this, the enemy team will likely pressure your team by holding W. Use this to your advantage by placing traps and mines preemptively, as well as actively spamming choke points during this push. Do not use RIP-Tire during Infra-Sight as this makes you a static target.
*SUPPORTS*
*Ana* - *Disrupt Nano'd targets with traps and mines.* As mentioned already, one of Junkrat's primary purposes is to crowd control the enemy. Most enemy targets given Nano Boost by Ana are high priority targets, so you'll have to CC them into oblivion. For Reinhardt's Earthshatter, displace him using mines and traps. For Genji's Dragonblade, use RIP-Tire. For Reaper's Death Blossom, use traps.
*Baptiste* - *Avoid line of sight during Amplification Matrix.* Like Orisa's Supercharger and Widowmaker's Infra-Sight, taking a fight or poking should be avoided or done out of line of sight. As Junkrat, use this to your advantage by spamming choke points from which the enemy team advances through after using Amplification Matrix.
*Brigitte* - *Put distance between Brigitte and your team.* While Brigitte's shield can easily be destroyed by Junkrat, she may not always have her shield up or face the right way. Brigitte only benefits from close-range combat, so when she engages on a teammate, throw a mine to immediately disengage her from your team.
*Lucio* - *Crowd control enemy engagements on speed boost.* More often than not, Lucio's speed boost and Sound Barrier are used for engagements. Use your trap to stop the enemy team in their tracks when Lucio uses speed boost or Sound Barrier to prevent a full-on engagement. Additionally, like with Tracer, use mines to chip health off Lucio to force a retreat.
*Mercy* - *Break the Geneva Conventions and trap enemy corpses.* While using mines to knock Mercy away from resurrecting her teammates is an effective strategy, this may not always be an option. A proper failsafe is to place a trap under enemy corpses, making Mercy an exposed target for your team to focus should you not be present. Additionally, track ultimates and the tempo of the team fights, as this will better inform you as to who Mercy is more likely to resurrect. A Zarya with Graviton Surge is a higher priority target for Mercy than a Tracer.
*Moira* - *Force Fade using mines and traps.* Like with Tracer's Recall and Reaper's Wraith Form, Moira's Fade is an easy ability to force by chipping away at Moira's health using mines and traps. Although Fade will safely disengage from the initial damage, this exposes her to follow-up damage using an additional mine.
*Zenyatta* - *Use RIP-Tire during Transcendence.* Because Transcendence heals enemy heroes over time, RIP-Tire is an excellent way to confirm a kill during Transcendence, especially as the enemy team is more likely to let their guard down. Additionally, using a trap to hold a target in place will either leave Zenyatta behind his team or take an enemy target out of Zenyatta's Transcendence, making landing a one-shot combo much easier.

also for brig, countering rally is pretty much the same as countering lamp. just boop enemies out of the radius and you’re good to go. also your primary fire bursts through armor like it’s not even there.
