You know, he said it himself, a lot of movies have these diaper changing scenes but......these are usually with actual babies. Having this kind of scene with an around 4 year old.....is just plain CREEPY.

This movie feels like it was written in 2016, back when My Little Pony and John Cena memes were at their prime.
That's hardly a reach. It's common for it to take years for scripts to get greenlit, movies to be shot, edited, released.
It would seem thirty years older, 1986, had this been the "Megan, Molly, and Danny" version ("Marvel/Sunbow/Claster/Hasbro" version)(I saw it,too. actually, I enjoy this/..)
Not gonna lie. I was honestly shocked to find this came out in 2019. It's shot like it's from 1995 with the abysmal colour palate and bland camera work. Actually, fuck no. The fucking Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie is shot better than this. Batman 66 was shot better than this.
It probably was, then got sent into development purgatory (a subsidiary of development hell) before finally getting off the ground.
I'd say this was shot in 2016 and sat on the shelf for three years until they ultimately said "Eh, whatever, let's hope this makes a quick buck whilst we still have it."

I see these comments all the time. Newsflash: Sandler's comedy hasn't changed since he began, it's literally the same type of stuff he's always done, you just grew out of it. Personally, I've enjoyed every new movie he's made (that I've watched) just as much as Happy Gilmore or Billy Madison, wich is to say they're good for 1 or 2 viewings, but after that it gets old kinda fast. Only 50 first fates and Waterboy have skirted that trend for me.

Just like so many people say how Kevin James was only funny in king of queens it’s like 🤨 well, he’s the exact same guy as he was in that, he just hasn’t been in anything that had WRITERS as good as those in KoQ 🤷🏻♀️ the writers r pretty damn important when it comes to a comedic movie being funny, once u know the actors have already proven they r capable of comedic timing _with the right material_

When he starts singing the Pony theme song - he sings the extended version. That is not used any time in the show. So if he only just watched the show, there’s no way he would know those lyrics.
So that means a(he did way more reserch than he needed to. B(he knows that information. C(someone on set knew the info. Either way if it was anyone other than that little girl that gave him the lyrics someone is a secret my little pony fan.
Shadow Tech My guess is the writers just did a search for the theme song lyrics and the extended version was the first one that popped up and they didn’t do anymore research beyond that, just going with it

I also believe there's a scene where they have the theme song playing over random clips of the show. I'll be honest, I did like the pony art during the credits.

Also we even managed to get some ponies (Celestia and Luna, praise the goddesses) etched onto electronic hardwarw that was sent to the ISS. Neat huh?

Plot twist: The youngest of the siblings uses her mind power to make everyone in the house believe they're living in a family comedy setting.

Yeah, early in the review I was thinking "hey, this movie actually seems to have a interesting sense of humor." Then the main kids showed up and everything went downhill.

That's been Keegan Michael-Key's whole career post- Key and Peele. Dude is legitimately, phenomenally hilarious and he has coasted on that... by doing shit like this. I'm not asking him to do what Jordan Peele did or more serious work overall, I'm just saying... be more choosy with your scripts man lol
He was alright on Whose Line, but even then it felt like he was trying too hard, which is understandable.

Tyler Mane singing the My Little Pony theme is probably the scariest thing he's done, which is saying something since he's played characters like Sabretooth and Michael Myers.

@jbiehlable took me until this review to figure out what they were referencing, because I thought they were referencing a fake NC review
Cause even the refrences are lazy and half assed, they describe the plot of an episode while showing two completely different ones from much earlier in the show's run. I'd go so far as to say one of the "writers" found a summary for Secrets and Pies then copy and pasted it into that guy's diaolgue thinking no one would notice when the wrong episode clips were shown.

Zach Sutton Yeah. This review is he’s own Hilariocity. After watching Stuckmann’s I declared it a so bad it’s hilarious. Mainly because the title has nothing to do with the story and that to me weirdly makes it hilarious. I’ll just put it one and laugh at all the failures it accomplished.
This feels a little like the Bernie Mac show but the actors aren’t even trying.

That was probably the joke they were going for with the stupid "You can make sound" comment. Given how the critic thought the Wolverine comment was legitimately funny it's a shame they didn't use the actor better.
If you’re examining “darkness “ in cartoons, remember:
During the run of Beavis and Butthead, Beavis used to utter “Fire! Fire!”, and a small child set the bed in his trailer on fire and then blamed the cartoon for his pyromania. And that was the end of Beavis uttering those words (although occasionally he came close to repeating them). The public never saw the offending episode again. How about a show going over this?
It's basically a rule with every Wrestler turn Actor to be in a crappy kids film , it's happened with the rock , Hulk Hogan , Dave Bautista , and now John Cena.

DasTemplar 96 if you actually looked up that movie and read what the synopsis is you can educate yourself that the movie has nothing to do with twerking it was a terrible poster made by a marketing team. Also that movie isn’t even American it’s French.

Like, can we take a moment to understand that such a movie shouldn’t be promoted when the biggest sex-trafficking ring of kids in our nation is being uncovered and Hollywood has its hands deep in it as we speak? It’s like promoting that Charlie Sheen and Whoopi Goldberg 9/11 trailer RIGHT AFTER 9/11, except some of Hollywood’s elite actually have a part in it.

I thought it was really nice and funny.
This movie doesn’t have a review on Rotten Tomatoes (It’s At 22%!), so I’ll make it myself: “Playing With Fire extinguishes it’s talented cast’s comedic fire and add up to a smoldering disaster of a kids movie.”

We should assume that in the time between the 3rd act resolving and the epilogue stuff with the wedding (I'm giving this movie the benefit of the doubt and assuming it's been weeks if not months since then) he went to therapy. I think it's safe to assume he broke and became a potential danger to himself and those around him.
This is like if Despicable Me was made by the creators of Jack & Jill

Funny thing. Lauren Faust loved the toys as a kid but was unimpressed with the lack of story and character in the cartoons made at the time to promote them. She always came with unique personalities for the ponies she collected and imagined them in epic scenarios. That’s pretty much where her inspiration for MLP: FIM came from!

*RIGHT?!* Someone else finally said it! If John Cena had more of Jim Varney's talent... and charisma... and range- OK, a *LOT* more, someone could theoretically market John Cena as the next Jim Varney. They would just need a fucking miracle to make it work, but there is always hope.
I honestly want him to do a straight up Jim Varney biopic, or a “the disaster artist” type behind the scenes making of an Ernest movie.
That might be the way to rehab Cena into a credible actor.

Cena definitely has plenty of charisma, talent, and range. Comparing him to Jim Varney (a legitimately gifted Shakespeare-trained actor) is apples and oranges though, cause Jim Varney was straight-up gifted.
As someone who lives in California and at the time when this came out we have a huge fire because a gender reveal went wrong. I completely believe everyone's reaction to fire.

Edit: Searched for the review, it was from Andre The Black Nerd, turns out it was more of an ironic enjoyment, like The Room. Good review though, I forgot how much fun he had with it.

But now, (as of 2020) even after Stephen’s death, it’s going to be released under the title “Sponge On The Run”
Which (sadly) is a tie-in movie to launch the first spinoff show for Nickelodeon: titled, “Kamp Koral”
(which is probably going to totally suck, in terms of TV ratings)
