Dude, your logo as a form of blocking would be killer. And your sawing skills are on point. Lastly, I really dig the voice-over work. Makes me feel like daddy Iggy is tryna whisper us to sleep. 🤣
@FalTacUnlimitedLLC Hey, you were able to get all of the important points across, and the build turned out killa. Damn mics will always crap out on you. "And it'll embarrass you every time." -Lucky Ned Pepper, True Grit.
I enjoy watching your videos. What is the grit number on the belt sander? Going to get a belt sander tomorrow and I see that most are supplied with a 120 grit belts.
What belt loop was that again? Have you or do you ever make magazine holsters using the foam press? I've tried to make a few, and they work maybe 50% of the time. (no vac press atm). I've tried folding from the side and even bottom up.
Sorry for my ignorance, but what exactly is "blocking" and why is it used? Was it just layers of the blue tape or was it also the small aluminum piece you put on the sides?
Blocking creates a channel for the raised components on the firearm to pass freely through the holster without getting caught up. Blocking would be the metal material I put on.
I HAVE AKYDEX HOLSTER. I RECENTLY PUT A COMPENSATOR ON THE BARREL. NOW THE GUN WONT FIT IN THE HOLSTER. HOW WOULD YOU GO ABOUT OPENING THE END OF THE HOLSTER TO MAKE ROOM FOR THE COMP. HEAT THE KYDEX WHILE SLIDING THE GUN THROUGH IT OR WARM UP THE END OF THE HOLSTER AND USE A WOODEN DOWEL ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED
I personally cut the end off so it's open and the compensator sticks out. That is probably the fastest and easiest way. You can heat the end up and shove the gun in. But it will look sloppy.
Absolutely but you have to be mindful. If your gun is Polymer you could crush it. So make sure the magazine is installed and it's a good idea to put 2 layers of tape on each side of the magazine to make sure it doesn't crush. And if you're using metal blocking, it's a good idea to have tape under to protect it
Back the basic is the best series. Thanks
Love it!!

Made a big order from holstersmith & I let them know you sent me! Thanks for the awesome content Iggy!
Nice job. Like your ideas on the changes you’ve made!
Thank you!!!
I formed a holster on foam and the top kydex piece rolled down around the top and stuck between bottom kydex and gun. Thank you for teaching.
Pull that top layer tight and you're good!
What spacing do you use for eyelets?
100% depends on the belt attachments
On the two piece forming, did you apply heat to the two pieces of Kydex?
well, yeah. how else can you form them lol.
If I have a 24x 16 heat press, would it work to heat 2 pieces of kydex at same time?
Yup. I'll be upgrading mine at some point
Thank you

Ill want to double check but I want to say around 300 grit. It came with 120 and I ordered new belts on amazon to fit it
Thanks
Thank you.

Those are P style loops and I have made mag carriers on foam. I can do vids on that as well
I do my mag carriers on foam press and they work 100% every time. I had problems to start with until I added a sight channel to one side.
@@FalTacUnlimitedLLC that would be cool!
Is the brand laser engraved or sublimated? I'd like to add a small brand to my gear.
Lasered
To what temperature should the toaster oven be set and for how long?
my oven is at 400 and kydex is removed at 360 or so. but do yourself a favor and get a heat press. i rarley use the ovens now
Fahrenheit, yes?

Thanks for the quick reply.

Great video. What polishing wheel do you use?
800 grit sanding disc
can I use my actual gun for a one time mold? If so do I treat it with anything to minmize any possible damage?

This guy makes legacy pieces.
