So glad you made this video. The quality is amazing. The colors really pop. Is that an adjustment on your capture process? I wish you could redo some of your older ones that have very poor quality like Moo Mesa and Bucky. Thanks again for sharing the experience of such a rare and awesome game.
Thanks, so glad you like it! The old videos were made before we understood resolution and interlacing. Many of them were put on VHS first. We have the means to make these HD ones now, but we decided to focus on scripted content instead. The longplay videos are just a remnant of this account from before we started Basement Brothers.

I hope this and Violent Storm get a release on the eShop in the future seeing as Crime Fighters and (most recently) Vendetta already have.
Metamorphic Force is of one Konami's last side-scrolling beat 'em up games in the arcades along Violent Storm.
The game mechanics and lots of great characters and the gameplay are resembles and similar to those of Konami's other earlier arcade hits, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Crime Fighters, and X-Men, and runs on the same hardware as their ninja-themed game, Mystic Warriors. A character similar to the trolls in Sega's arcade game Golden Axe walks randomly throughout the game.
Konami also made Vendetta which is a lesser known beat em up along with Monster Maulers. Also of course there was Simpsons arcade beat em up

Konami was like the SNK of beat em ups in their arcade heyday. While Capcom focused on the cool and accessible Konami focused on their presentation and vibrant effects
Between this and Violent Storm, Konami went out on a high note with arcade beat em ups. Amazing MASTERPIECE of an action adventure!

Never played this game back in the day but I would love to. I like games with characters that can change into more powerful forms, in this case anthropomorphic animals! Yeah!

Seems to be the same engine as Xmen, still it stands on its own. Too bad i never got to see this gem.
It actually uses Mystic Warriors hardware.
I think a lot of the sprite work were derived from X-Men but I always had a feeling there was a sequel to the arcade game in the works but I think the licensed expired so all the groundwork was changed into this game.

Wow! Never thought I'd say this, but this is the best wannime arcade game from Konami ever to compete for greatness (although you did interrupt the dialogue for some of the boss fights, but whatever). Nice vid! 😉🐃🐺🐈⬛🐻

One of the characters even has a teleport attack like Night Crawler. Almost certainly a variation of the X-Men arcade game source code, and the numbered health feels a bit like Vendetta/CrimeFighters
