      Yeah, this was captured with the Framemeister right after I got it. I'm sure the brightness on the Framemeister could've been setup better for the game. Sorry about that.

    When I played this game in the arcade, I found it weird that you have to fight Rocksteady and Bebop again at 9:53 when they both got defeated on the first two levels. However, when they made this arcade game into an NES game, instead of having Rocksteady and Bebop, they had Baxter Stockman as the fly as the replacement which also sounds weird because Baxter Stockman as a human was defeated on the third level.

    • @HellTantrumbull
      @HellTantrumbull 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Revenge fight for Bebop and Rocksteady since the turtles did fight them in the first season. nes version was simply because of hardware limits and to help show off some characters because of toys being sold at the time.

    • @afriendofbean
      @afriendofbean 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HellTantrumbull It just seemed weird when you fight Rocksteady and Bebop on the first two levels, they fall to the ground showing they died and disappeared and for Baxter Stockman he explodes but, it would have been better if it didn't show them dying but maybe running away after a while saying "you haven't seen the last of me turtles" and then you fight them again where for Baxter Stockman, it shows that he mutates himself into the fly after he runs away on the NES version. Also, I didn't know about the hardware limits. However, someone else mentioned that the reason they didn't have Rocksteady and Bebop again on the NES version of the game because the people who made the NES game felt it would be extremely hard for the player but instead replaced them with Baxter The Fly. It's kind of like on the third game of the NES game, you fight Shredder who falls to the ground but doesn't die where he gets up and runs off and then you fight him again as Super Shredder.

    • @HellTantrumbull
      @HellTantrumbull 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@afriendofbean The turtles actually just knocked them out the first time and that's why they came back for a team fight to get revenge but end up failing again. there's no running away animation for both I'm guessing because Konami just didn't think about doing it or if they did they didn't have time to add them.
      For Baxter on the nes version him suddenly coming back as the fly when his pod was destroyed with him in it really didn't make any sense unless he somehow pulled a Dr. Wily with his pod escape. 🤷‍♂
      Also, assuming turtles in time is an actual follow up to the first game then Baxter being there also makes no sense since he should have been killed unless he pulled a Dr. Wily there too. 🙆‍♀

    • @afriendofbean
      @afriendofbean 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HellTantrumbull That could be true that maybe Rocksteady and Bebop were only knocked out but, seeing them disappear after falling onto the ground made it feel like they died. Seeing them getting up off the ground and saying "you haven't seen the last of us" and running away would have made sense especially I remember playing this game in the arcade with some people and when we saw Rocksteady and Bebop again we got disappointed feeling that it was hard to fight them first separately, and now it will be hard to fight them together.
      I remember after defeating Baxter on the third film on the NES version and once the explosion happened, it could shown him outside his flying ship alive and mutating himself into a fly and saying "I'll be back turtles" where you fight him in another level as the fly.
      Maybe "Turtles In Time" on the SNES version was a different story since I wondered myself how the characters come back to life on different parts of a game going part 1, part 2, etc. and someone else said that it's kind of like how Mario would defeat Bowser in part 1 of a game and Bowser is seen again in part 2 of a game for Mario to defeat again.

    wow what a shit game.... We used to love this as a kid but no wonder we never got far on $2... there is no game play when fighting big bosses, they just hit you regardless of your attack... What a jib....

    • @Noumenon72
      @Noumenon72 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I could beat this whole game with six quarters when I was a kid. They're just not good and playing in a group makes the attacks trigger when they're hard to avoid.

    • @elmalloc
      @elmalloc 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I could beat it with 5.5 quarters.

    • @JohnshiBRPG
      @JohnshiBRPG 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It seems like it is never a good strategy to always gang up because after a number of rapid hits, the boss will always activate a counter attack without any warning. It also seems to be an easy way to eat up quarters back in the late 1980's / early 1990's arcade games with scarce health recoveries, a trademark in later Konami beat-em-ups. If you looked up no miss plays of TMNT, the best players always give space after a few hits so the enemy can perform an attack with anticipation, then the action, and post-action.
