Welcome to DeKUT 5th Engineering partberships Convention held at the Freedom Hall, Main campus Nyeri. Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (DeKUT) started as Kimathi Institute of Technology (KIT) in 1972. It was later upgraded to Kimathi University College of Technology (KUCT); a constituent college of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) in 2007. On 14th December, 2012, the University was elevated to the stature of a fully-fledged University in a ceremony presided over by the then President of the Republic of Kenya, H.E. Mwai Kibaki.Dedan Kimathi University of Technology has 2 Campuses: The Main Campus in Nyeri; 6KM from Nyeri Town on Nyeri _ Nyahururu Highway and Nairobi Campus on the 13th floors of Pension Towers, Loita Street - Nairobi. Dedan Kimathi University of Technology offers a range of programmes on various levels (Certificate, Diploma, Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Professional Courses) and in various schools and institutes: School of Engineering, School of Sciences, School of Business Management and Economics, School of Health Sciences, School of Computer Science and Information Technology, School of Graduate Studies, Institute of Food Bioresources Technology, Institute of Criminology, Forensics and Security Studies, Institute of Geomatics, GIS and Remote Sensing, Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Institute of Technical and Professional Studies, Geothermal Energy Training and Research Institute, Institute of General Studies.
